The property is relatively close to the centre of Florence, but is in quite a busy street which you can hear throughout the night.
Check in was easy, all of the instructions are provided which are clear and concise. However, there is no manual in the rooms which would have helped for example for the use of the air con.
The air con did not work sufficiently, in fact it might as well have not been there at all. The room was so unbearably hot, that we found it very difficult to sleep at night. We couldn’t open the windows as the noise outside was too loud.
In addition to the warmth of the room, the bed was also extremely uncomfortable, and the mattress appears to be of a poor quality as it dipped in the middle.
This made for 2 sleepless nights which were very uncomfortable.
There is no lift available, and we were put on the third floor which meant carrying our suitcase and 2 bags up several flights of stairs. This information is provided before booking, so be aware of this if you are planning to arrive with luggage. There is no luggage storage, we were allowed to leave our luggage in the room before check in.
When we received the check in information, it stated check out to be at 10am. However, when booking, check out was given as 12pm which was the reason we booked the property initially. After consulting with Mamo Florence, they extended our check out to 11am free of charge, but this did mean we were at the train station 1 hour before our train departed.
