The Space:

You'll have a great time exploring Folly Beach when you stay at this oceanfront home on the western edge of the Washout. A fully-equipped full kitchen is furnished with beautiful cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a gas range. The downstairs suite, while not ADA compliant, has wider doors, an elevator, and features a bathtub equipped with grab bars and a roll-under sink. This is the perfect space to host family events or get-togethers with old friends.



What’s Nearby:

Head to downtown Folly for restaurants, shopping, and equipment rentals for surfing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Speaking of surfing, you can get lessons at Sol Surfers Surf Camp, LLC or Shaka Surf School, both under two miles away. Folly Beach also has lots of great seasonal events and festivals like Folly Gras, the Sea and Sand Festival, and the Folly Beach Jazz Festival. Head out to sea to fish with Sea Breeze Charters, three and a half miles away, for Sailfish, Dolphin, Tuna, White Marlin, Wahoo, and Blue Marlin.

Great family house

I booked this house for our 2 daughters and 3 grandsons along with my husband and I. The entire process of booking was so easy and straight forward. Everyone loved the house and we all had plenty of room so that no One felt on top of each other. I thought that the house had 4 bedrooms but actually there are 5! The house is righton the beach which was great with the little ones. Very pretty house, very clean and great location. We'll be back for sure! one felt

Great views!

Great spot on Folly with views of the ocean from every room. The bathroom with the main floor bedroom is not really handicap accessible - would be better if it was a walk in shower. Kitchen is well stocked and entertaining area holds a lot of folks and the decks do as well. There are really 5 bedrooms! We were unable to use the dryer as the vent was apparently full of lint; despite repeated calls and promises that maintenance would come, they never showed so we made a few trips to the laundromat which was a bummer. Everyone felt tremors in the house at random times - not sure what that means but will be interesting to see if this house is still standing in 10 years. We enjoyed our time there!

Starting to feel like it's run by a big company

When we started going here three years ago and met the owner, the kitchen was much better stocked. There are no pantry items - not even salt and pepper. Also this time there was no griddle, which we had planned on since there was one last year. No measuring cups, which we had bought a full set and left there in the past. If you don't plan to use the kitchen for much - you'll still love the location like we always do.

Getaway for a Girl's Weekend

The property was a great size for us with quite a large group of women (11 in total). We had plenty of space and never felt like we were all on top of each other. Great location right on the beach, which made it all the more fun. Great interactions with the owner of the property. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Overall the stay was good. Issues with the elevator so that was not available as hoped. We loved the area. Bert’s was a great store to visit. Taco Boy was our favorite restaurant. We will visit again.

Had a wonderful time!

We really enjoyed our "girls get together" at Folly Beach. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and beautiful. We do recommend a cleaning out of the kitchen cabinets, however. It looks like time for a "refresh" of that area.

Wonderful home away from home!

This house has amazing views! Every bedroom had a view of the ocean. Numerous rocking chairs to sit outside and enjoy the view. The property had all the comforts of home! Great appliances in the kitchen with numerous dishes and utensils. I would absolutely rent this house again. My only complaint would be, not one of the bathrooms had ANY shade to cover the window. If people were on the other property on the deck they could clearly see into the master bath downstairs.

Fabulous vacation!

My family had a wonderful stay at Folly B'Golly. The home was absolutely gorgeous. There were flowers to welcome us. We were right on the beach just like we wanted. The screened in porch was my favorite spot outside and the dining room view was my favorite spot inside. We were close to downtown Folly and enjoyed a few hours shopping. The only thing we lacked was enough hot water for showers and washcloths. I already miss the breathtaking sunrises and the sound of the waves. All of us would love to return in the future!

The elevator was tricky, but very helpful forour heavy bags! But everything else was spectacular! View is soooo worth it! Our group loved it. Loved the location, such a cute little town. The deck was amazing. If you are just staying in FB, rent a golf cart, if not then a car rental is best to go to Charleston.

Beautiful views and Beachfront

We very much enjoyed our stay at “Folly B Golly”. The house is in a great location with beautiful views from many of the rooms. The porch and decks are outstanding. There are many nice rocking chairs on the deck/porch area. A nice addition would be some beach towels and beach chairs but sitting on the deck was very pleasant as an alternative. The home is comfortable but a bit dated. They are making improvements, painting the interior etc., we’ll look forward to seeing more updates next time we visit. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of utensils and cookware. The owner and local Vacasa agent were both very friendly as well as approachable, easy to communicate with and very responsive to any questions or requests we had.

I don't want word to get out about this place!!

This property was amazing and exactly as described in the description and pictures. Our extended family stayed here and enjoyed every minute of it. The house is very well equipped for any cooking and baking you want to do while staying there - we didn't eat out at all, cooked meals there. We also found a local fish shop that was great at giving us recommendations of the day's fresh catch and again, had all of the pots/pans needed. The linens and towels were well stocked, there were plenty of blankets for us all to enjoy the cool days on the porch. This property is literally on the beach - high tide came up to the steps. If you're into surfing, this is a popular spot for the local surfers too. We were more than satisfied with this house - we plan to go back again next year and the year after and the year after - you get my drift. John, it was great to have met you too - thank you so much for sharing Folly B Golly with us!

Great house! Perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach house. The open floor layout was great for our family to all be together. At high tide you’re less than 100ft to the ocean so whether you’re just watching the surfers or running in yourself for a polar plunge, the outdoor hot shower is very close by. The house is really well stocked with anything you might need to make food and stay at home for meals. The town of Folly beach is straight down the road or downtown Charleston is around 20 minutes away. I would recommend this house. We’re already thinking about booking again for next year.
