Sehr schöne Lage mit tollem Ausblick

Die Lage des Hauses und die Außensnlage waren sehr schön. Das Haus könnte mal eine Renovierung gebrauchen, besonders die BĂ€der.

Dies Haus hat eine hervorragende Lage. Darauf ruhen sich die Vermieter aus. Das Haus war nicht sehr reinlich und somit gibt es viele Mitbewohner in Form von Insekten aller Art. In der KĂŒche gab es weder Salz noch Pfeffer oder SpĂŒlmittel fĂŒr den Erstbedarf.

* found excrement (mouse or roach) in the pots and pans.* The utensils were filthy.* The family believes this justifies at least one day’s rental refund.* The couple was not informed that the deck and pool would be unavailable on Wednesday due to painting.* The maintenance person started painting at 9 am but the couple had already left.* The maintenance person spoke with someone in the couple’s party about the paint drying faster.* The rental agreement states that any complaints must be immediately reported to the agency representative for action to be taken.* No claims or complaints after the stay or later in the stay will result in reimbursement or financial considerations.* Your response is what is expected from someone who isn’t interested in improving their property in the rental program.* You were gone when we had someone come paint the deck without notice.* We came back from the grocery store and the contractor was already painting the deck.* At that point, we made the decision to do things away from the unit.* Did you expect us to sit there and watch the paint dry?* As far as the pots and pans having excrement in them, we were getting ready to prepare Thanksgiving dinner.* Did you expect us to stop and wait for you to send someone over to clean the pots and pans?* Interrupting our vacation while someone was cleaning.* We washed the items we needed by hand and ran them through the dishwasher.

Give it 3.5 stars. Location is good. Walking distance to beach.Pool is nice with canal view. Home needs some updating. Stopped up kitchen sink that would not drain. Trash pick up was inconsistent. Having to do laundry before leaving is not what we are used too. Having everyones license to rent the prooerty is not the norm we are used too. Communication was good.

Pro: You're on the intercoastal waterway, so you have nice views. The iguanas and squirrels walk cozily by as you sit by the pool. Very nice that there is a washer and dryer. The beach is not far from the house. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is centrally located.Con: the house is outdated. The bathrooms and flooring look nice but otherwise it's really outdated. When laying the floor, cement splatters got everywhere on the walls and did not bother to remove it. The kitchen exterior door and sliding door don't quite close anymore. The AC does not manage to cool the house. In the master bedroom there is an extra AC in the wall, it does not cool enough at but makes incredible noise. This one cannot be on when you go to sleep. The kitchen needs replacing, the couch is sagging and the patio is sagging.All in all a fine house for a few days stay but don't expect a house where you spend 3 weeks a luxury vacation.

Nice Spring getaway

Enjoyed the waterfront pool experience with the iguanas. The unit was clean and well equipped. The slider needs replaced but the kitchen door worked fine.We weren't there for the TV, but would have been nice had it been a smartTV.Overall, great experience and would stay again.

New years stay family

Quiet street and neighborhood , easy 5 minutes walk to beach. 10 minutes to Lauderdal by the Sea walking on quiet street of El Mar. Nice quiet view of canal in backyard. Host was very communicative and place is spacious with two nice bathrooms and fully stocked kitchen with laundry available. Plenty of room for family of 4. The only thing I would change is that the pool was heated. Too cold to swim in during the winter.

Wonderful Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean and everything worked. The backyard opens to the intracoastal so it was great just to drop a line and catch some nice Jack Crevalles and Blue Runners. The place is a few short minute walk to the LBTS pier and restaurants. Finally, the owner and the property manager were super responsive and helpful in all comms.

Older property, great location, AC doesn't cool

Pros: the view on the intercoastal waterway is beautiful. The location to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is good. Easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants Cons: The property is old. It looks like someone upgraded the bathrooms and floors but that is where the niceness ends. Even at that, the workmanship of the upgrades is poor. Main bath toilet did not flush. The AC did not cool. When we got there it was set at 79°. No biggie because I'm sure that they turn it up between rentals. However, even after turning it down, it did not cool. There was no air coming out of the vent in the master bedroom. After it running all night,we woke up to 77° . After taking showers in the morning, the temp went back up to 78°. Sabrina said she would have the AC guy come out to look at it between at 10a-2p. She contacted me around 1:30pm stating that the AC tech said it cooled fine. Unfortunately, it did not. I was then told that the AC would not cool any cooler than 73 degrees & that would be the case with any other property in south Florida. Not true as I have stayed at other properties in South Florida with no AC issues. We finally got it down to 74 degrees, nothing cooler. I asked what our other options were as we were not comfortable staying in a place that was not going to cool to our comfort level. She stated we could move to the other side of the duplex or get a refund. We opted for a refund. We were there less than 24 hours and she charged us for 2 nights. Overall, would not recommend.

Small improvements will make it a much better place to stay

PROs - property as described. We stayed with our daughter and 11 years granddaughter and it suited us well. 2 blocks to the beach. Nice patio with a beautiful calming view. Small pool shared with condo next door. Host responded to any of our questions right away CONs - property was renovated but appliances, especially in the kitchen are very old - toaster, stove, coffee machine, etc. Beach chairs and umbrella are awful, they are so old that you practically sit right on the sand. Host did not allow for an early check in or late check out, even for an hour. It was a first property that we have rented via VRBO that required us to send a load of various forms and documents , and provide $450.00 damage deposit even if we paid for a damage insurance. 2 weeks as we left and we are still waiting for the damage deposit to be returned. We had a very unpleasant incident with a patio umbrella. When we checked in , patio umbrella was opened. We did not touch it, it stayed opened for the duration of our stay. One day before we had to leave was a strong wind and when we came back from a beach umbrella flew away from the table, it was on the ground, broken. We tried to close it but could not because we realized it was broken before and ropes where tied up.This is probably why it was opened in the first place, when we checked in. It also was not locked to a holder, the holder is rusty. Our host ordered a new umbrella right away but she also charged our damage insurance.

Winter Getaway

This property suited our expectations based on the online description. It was a quiet neighborhood with an easy walk to the beach and many restaurants. We didn’t even mind the iguanas along the canal watching us while at the duplex pool! We would consider a return trip.

It was cozy but a little outdated.

Read the reviews, it was exactly as reviewed. Some things were better than others. The pool and outside area is where we spent most of our time, which was great. The dishwasher was broken but we were told about that from the start. It wasn’t great doing all the dishes but it could be worse. The master bedroom is very warm. Overall very clean. The kitchen is very small but it worked. We think Lauderdale By The Sea was a fun area. It is small and has that old Floridian charm, enjoy.

Enjoyable stay

The duplex was nice sized and close walk to the beach and shops/restaurants. Any issues that came up, Sabrina answered and quickly fixed, even on Christmas Day!! My son enjoyed fishing from the dock daily; he brought his own rod and tackle. The beach was 3 blocks away; 4 beach towels, 3-4 chairs, and some buckets were provided. Overall a nice time.

Great Location and Pool View

This was a very lovely home that reminded me of old Florida charm! Everything was very clean and the pool was just lovely. It was so nice to swim and look at the canal. Very affordable for the location as the beach was just a few minutes away and the Lauderdale by the Sea area was just a few more minutes which made walking possible to all areas. I would definitely come back and stay there again! Sabrina was easy to reach and was kind to let us get a later check out date on the day of our departure.

Go for it!!!

Excellent location within easy walking distance of the pier, the beach, restaurants and shops. Dean and John ( maintenance and landscaping) were lovely and could not do enough for us. Found check in a little confusing as access was from 4 and we tried the code a few minutes prior, not realistic it was timed to release at 4. With no internet and no phone ( uk provider) we had to try and find free Wi-Fi and send email. This was stressful after a long and hot journey. I simple note on instructions to say it is time locked until 4 would be helpful. Accommodation is lovely and we enjoyed our time there
