Good location and view, but poor management policies The condo itself was fine—nicely decorated with a lovely ocean view as advertised. Unfortunately, the management company, Southern Vacation Rentals, significantly detracted from the stay.Several policies made it feel like the priority was maximizing revenue rather than providing a comfortable guest experience:‱ Extremely early checkout (9:00 AM): This is the earliest checkout we’ve encountered in hundreds of hotel and rental stays. A later (i.e., normal) checkout is available—but only for an additional 60. Our departure fell on the Daylight Saving Time change, effectively making checkout 8:00 AM, and they refused to adjust it.‱ No basic bathroom amenities: There was no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash provided—only a cheap bar of soap.‱ Very low-quality linens: Towels were thin, pillows were inexpensive, and there was no real comforter, just a very light blanket on the beds.‱ Master bedroom safety and missing basic conveniences: The master bedroom has a thin, loose rug over a slippery tile floor that shifts easily and presents a potential trip hazard. There are also no accessible outlets or charging ports near the bed, which is a basic amenity that even inexpensive hotels routinely provide.Given the price point, these details matter. With minimal effort—better linens, basic toiletries, and more guest-friendly policies—this could be a great rental. As is stands, I would not rent from this company again.

Great location, limited space

This condo is in a great location. The space in the condo is small, but restricted more by all of the pieces of furniture and decorations. It would not be a good place to stay with small children due to the amount of decor and limited space to move around due to the pieces of furniture. Worked ok for me and my teenagers. The location was great, felt safe, and nice grounds that are cared for daily.

Perfect location

This condo was perfect for our family stay near Destin. Exactly as you see it in the pictures. Close to entertainment and amenities, but far enough away from all the noise, crowds and traffic. Beds were comfortable, appliances were new and worked perfectly, even the ice maker. TVs were great, although the second bedroom's TV was not a smart TV. Very minor inconvenience for my kids. Place was clean, A/C and washer/dryer worked great, couches and chairs were comfortable. Bathrooms could use an update. Never could figure out the second shower. First shower worked, but shower fixture was old. Lights in the bathroom were rusting. Again, minor inconveniences. Having a good-sized pool was a great, calming cool down after spending time in the ocean. Pool was clean and well maintained. If you're looking for a place near Destin and Fort Walton Beach, I highly recommend this property. We will be back.

Perfect for a quiet spring break

The property was perfectly depicted in the photos and description. We loved the location, the beach was wonderful, the pool heated, which wasn't mentioned in the description and was a welcome surprise. The condo was cozy and perfect size for our 2 adult and 2 teen boys. Very well stocked kitchen. We used the pickle ball courts and the small work out facility. Furniture was super comfortable and so were the beds. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay Island Echos!

Great location to the beach and pool, ok condo

Island echos 3K, great location for getting to the beach, third floor, middle of the complex condo that wasn’t too far from the elevator. Easy to get to the pool. Pool a bit small. The condo, the beds were comfortable with plenty of linens provided. Newer appliances that all worked correctly. It’s nice to have an ice maker that works. Plenty of plates, glasses and silverware the kitchen was fully stocked *** NO Keurig *** if you drink coffee bring regular coffee pot filters and grounds, or like my wife, you’ll be disappointed. Comfortable living room set. Plenty of towels and washer dryer worked good. A/C worked and was used all week. Balcony furniture was nice and used everyday. Living room tv was newer and was relatively big for the space. Bathrooms were functional for the most part but are small. Gated secure entrance to complex, overall, ok condo. Cons - second bedroom fan didn’t work, the reason we had the A/C on all the time, that room never got cool. Missing or burned out light bulbs in light fixtures. TOO many fake plants all over, we had to move some of the clutter to walk around. Shower door in second bathroom was a pain to slide back and forth, three of us used the master bath shower. Movie channels on tv all in Spanish, nothing we tried could fix that. Need black out curtain for balcony door the pool lighting shines into living room. Dining table too large for the condo, why 6 chairs? Elevator at times didn’t work, but repaired quickly. Simply just OK condo.

Condo great. VRBO online and staff not so good.

I found VRBO online site difficult - could not find same property on line even using property number. Later after booking I called with number with questions and vrbo rep gave me incorrect information and then told me she would call back with answers to other questions but never called back. One tip on condo itself - could do with fewer than the 11 plastic plants in such a small area. But condo was nice and we loved it.

Fantastic Ocean View!

Very clean and nice condo rental. Beautiful ocean view. Having beach chairs and an umbrella provided was a plus. We enjoyed our stay and would rent this property again.

Beautiful view! Comfortable bedding! Decorated nicely! Could have been a bit cleaner, the floor was very sandy. The baseboards and windows could use a major cleaning. But overall was a great stay!!
