The Space:

Island Echos 1L is a beautifully decorated, condo, conveniently located just steps from the outdoor pool area and the private beach boardwalk.



Island Echos 1L offers all the comforts of a true home away from home, allowing you to experience a much-needed vacation with your family or close friends. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by new carpeting throughout the condo and beach-chic décor in different shades of blue to complement the comfortable furnishings. The well-equipped kitchen is near the entrance, boasting gorgeous granite countertops, a tasteful tiled backsplash, and all the utensils, appliances, and cookware you need to create your favorite meals while on vacation. The kitchen opens into the dining area, which leads directly to the spacious living area. Bar stools by the kitchen breakfast bar, ideal for enjoying a nice meal and good conversation. Pickleball courts are also nearby, so grab your paddles and have a friendly game together.



Step into the inviting living room, boasting matching furnishings and décor, along with a large, TV and DVD player combination. Cozy up with your loved ones for a movie night after a long day of soaking up the sun on the beach or simply exploring all that Okaloosa Island has to offer. Both bedrooms are nestled in their own hall area, adjacent to the living area, providing plenty of room for the whole family. The bedrooms include their own TV and DVD player as well, allowing for ultimate entertainment for the duration of your stay.



Things to Know

Complimentary beach service of one umbrella and two chairs is offered from March 1 through October 31. Paddleboards, kayaks, and bicycles are available for an additional charge.

The main issue was there was not enough utensils and supplies for the kitchen. We went to a local store and purchased pans, a spatula, and supplies. There was not even a can-opener. There was also not enough dishes and silverware for our party. We asked for early check-in and were dismissed out of hand -- Even though we had arrived and looked at the room and could tell that is had already been cleaned and it was ready. We were told that if we could check in early, they would let us know since we were traveling with our 18 month old grandchild but we were not contacted even though the unit was ready.

It was just OK

Some of the power outlets didn’t work and the hair dryer looked like it had overheated and was partially melted. Every morning we had to wait or ask that our gate be unlocked by pool staff so we could access the pool. They treated us like children and we felt like they were watching every move. On our last day someone knocked on our door about 915 am and asked if we were about to leave so they could clean. That just made us stay until exactly 10.

Family Friendly

The staff was beyond helpful and sweet at the property. It also is completely gated which was extremely nice and added an extra sense of safety. The double beds were a tad bit on the small side, but I cannot recommend this property enough.

Great Accomodations

We took my 86 yr old grandma to see the emerald Coast and we all enjoyed it. It was easy and great for her to get in and out of the condo. The bed for get was comfortable and so grateful for the walk in shower she could use! Clean and the kitchen had everything we needed!

Girls Trip 2023

The location of this unit is just perfect! Steps, STEPS from the pool and the short boardwalk to the ocean is on the other side of the pool. The bed size is better than most condos. No twin beds or bunk beds for adults trying to stretch out. The in-unit laundry was the cherry on top! TWO full bathrooms. Seriously... we love this condo and will book again!

It was good

There was a lot to like about our stay: ac worked great, good water pressure, squishy comfortable beds with enough pillows, easy to load/unload car, great access to pool and beach, pool cleaned daily, someone puts out umbrellas and chairs on the beach daily for vacasa, and there were plenty of shower towels.Things we didn't like: no one would answer our questions through vrbo messaging so we had to call in every time, the outdoor light needs to be fixed, it was a bit confusing finding the condo at 2am, we had an entry code emailed to us which happened to be different than the one we were sent by text so we had a hard time entering for our 2am arrival which wasnt fun, luckily vacasa answered with a few minutes by phone and got us fixed, the kitchen light would go off on its own after awhile(like it overheated or something), wall light switches do not control ceiling fans, stove was outdated and needed to be cleaned under the burners, there was cheetoh dust under our bed, wouldve liked beach towels, salt and pepper, a better couch. Our stay was only Thursday- Sunday and we received an email, a text, or a call from vacasa every single day, ridiculous, i felt harassed. It was okay for a few days

Great stay. Clean. As advertised. Easy access to pool.

Super easy access unit. Clean and comfortable. No beach view from room (as expected) since pool area is right out the door of the patio but the beach is right behind that area. You can actually walk around the pool and look over to check the beach out. This unit made having a 1 yr old and a 4 yr old super easy. I cooked burgers and ran back and forth to the pool to serve. No elevators or lugging needed items around. Super chill and easy unit. I was expecting the pool area close by to be loud but it was surprisingly quiet. Also, the 2 beach loungers and umbrellas provided by the property made things easy when at the beach. My family of 4 adults and 3 kids really enjoyed the place.

The couch was uncomfortable & I did see a few roaches in the condo. I had to check out a day early because of a family emergency in GA & they didn’t even offer any of my money back. I was a little unhappy about that. Other than that it was very conviently located. Loved being so close to the pool.

Great for families!

We really enjoyed this condo! The pool location made going to and from swimming with children so easy (no dragging huge bags of snacks and toys for the kids, convenient for going back to the condo for bathroom breaks) that we spent more time there than at the beach. The times we were on the beach were equally wonderful, the beach service personnel were helpful and friendly, and the weather was nice enough in October to enjoy the water and sand. Grocery/meal delivery is readily available if you subscribe to those services online, and we had an overall relaxing trip. This is a great property for families and located nearby convenience stores, restaurants, and attractions.

Restful and quiet spot

Cute spot right by the pool. Easy access to the beach. Plenty of towels and other essentials. (Thank you!!!). The beds were comfy and all slept well. Nice and quiet. We did not hear our neighbors at all. Two suggestions; One, put up some hooks on the front bathroom please. Two, clean out exhaust from dryer (completely backed up) and replace the air filter. I don’t blame the property owners but rather abusive renters who don’t treat things properly and don’t let owners know when things need attention. We were traveling for a funeral and this was a little haven on our travels. Thanks again.

Really enjoyed our stay. Loved walking straight out on the pool deck and proximity to the beach. Condo was clean and comfortable. There was a lamp that looked broken in the master when we arrived, but other than that, it was a beautiful condo with everything we needed for a short weekend in Fort Walton.
