Traditionelle Lakefront HĂŒtte am wunderschönen George's Teich

Diese traditionelle Seekabine befindet sich auf George's Pond hat alles, was man sich fĂŒr einen ruhigen, friedlichen Maine Urlaub wĂŒnschen könnte. Erbaut im Jahre 1912, hat seine rustikale Ambiente alle modernen Annehmlichkeiten, ohne die Erfahrung zu opfern. Schlaf schlafen und hört auf die LĂŒge singen und erwachen zum Sonnenaufgang und beobachten Adler und Fischadler auf dem See. Diese Kabine ist eingebettet zwischen hohen Kiefern, die Ihnen den Atem rauben werden. George's Pond ist ein 380 Hektar großen FrĂŒhling gefĂŒttert See umgeben von Einblicke der Berge von Acadia National Park. Diese Kabine schlĂ€ft 6-8 (Queen Master Bett, 4 Einzelbetten in den Lofts und ein Doppelbett auf der Schlafveranda). Minuten zum Schoodischen Berg und Schoodic Beach (Teil des Acadia Nationalparks) zum Wandern und Schwimmen oder ein Picknick auf Jordan's Teich. Schoodic's Gipfel ist flach mit 360 Grad atemberaubenden Blick ĂŒber Frenchman Bay und Mount Desert Island. Der Downeast Sunrise Trail ist eine ĂŒberarbeitete Eisenbahn mit Meilen von Wanderwegen zum Wandern, Wandern, ATV oder Wandern (siehe Website fĂŒr weitere Informationen) nur 3 Minuten von der HĂŒtte entfernt. Die HĂŒtte ist nur 30-40 Minuten zum Acadia Nationalpark und Bar Harbor. Dort können Sie wandern, Mountainbike, Shop der Insel Boutiquen, speisen in Bar Harbor Restaurants, gehen Walbeobachtung oder greifen eine leckere Eis Kegel. Sie können auch Golf spielen auf dem berĂŒhmten Kebo Valley Kurs. PflĂŒcken Sie auf dem Weg nach Hause Blaubeeren und machen Sie einen Schuster oder entspannen Sie sich am Dock. Wir bieten Kajaks und Schwimmwesten. Es gibt mehrere Fahrrad-, Kajak- und Bootsverleih. Urlaub erwartet!

Last Minute Maine Trip

This is a traditional Maine "camp", so don't expect too much. The property was clean but small. The bathroom is very small, and if there were more than the four of us it wouldn't have been enough. But it is manageable for a week or two. The kitchen is just barely enough to cook basic meals. The kitchen has all of the basic cookware and dishes you will need. Thankfully there is a gas grill on the deck that can also be used to cook meals, and it has the added advantage of overlooking the pond. You'll want to spend most of your time here outside. We also used the gas fire pit almost every evening as the temperatures were quite cool while we were there. The pond is great for swimming, kayaking, or boating. The location is also near Acadia National Park and other outdoor activities. If you are looking for a traditional Maine vacation "upta camp" then this is a great place.

Peace-filled getaway

George’s pond cabin was a lovely little getaway. The cabin is cozy and clean and perfectly placed on George’s pond. Kids and family enjoyed the kayaks, fishing (sunnies, pumpkinseeds and small-mouth bass abound!). Short distance from everything you need and late August has THE perfect weather. Would recommend for groups who are staying less than a week (not many places to put clothes/belongings, and no washer/dryer to help keep belongings to a minimum).

Amazing!!!

Our family of 6 (ages 82-11) absolutely LOVED our stay here. It is a beautiful cabin in a fantastic location. It’s small and rustic which was perfect for us. The kitchen was super well stocked. The stairs up to the lofts are steep but no trouble for our kids. The sleeping porch was a dream. Communication with the host was phenomenal - we had a few needs during our stay and she answered immediately.

Peaceful retreat

The cabin is beautiful nestled amongst the pine trees overlooking the lake. Loved hearing the loons in the distance. We weren't informed that there was no television, so a little disappointed because it's football season, but there were lots of games to keep us occupied as we were there during hurricane Lee. Our host was concerned for our safety and requested us to leave on Saturday for the night, and we did so. However, our reimbursement for that night from VRBO has not been refunded to us at more than a week later. Overall, considering the weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at George's Pond and loved the food at Ruth and Wimpies. Best lobster we had!

Great little cabin in a quiet, beautiful spot!

My family (self, husband, and 3 boys) love hiking vacations in the National Parks...but we don't love crowds. At about 40-50min outside Acadia National Park, this cabin was perfect. We could drive into the park early and hike, then come 'home' to George's pond and fall in! The view is spectacular, I loved boating and the boys loved the diving rock. The cabin felt more like you were borrowing a good friends family cabin than like a rental. Cozy decor and comfortable beds. We also spent a great deal of time reading on the deck around the propane fire pit. Great place for us all to recharge! We'll definitely come back. One trip to this part of Maine is not enough!

Fantastic Maine Camp

We really enjoyed our getaway to this cabin on George's Pond. We fished, went kayaking and went swimming. In the evenings we started fire in fireplace and played card/board games. What a relaxing getaway

Amazing getaway!!!!!

Beautiful cabin with great views of the lake. We were on the dock one morning and counted 7 bald eagles soaring over the lake. Listened to the loons after dusk as we sat by the cozy gas firepit. 40 minutes from Acadia. We hiked 3 days and put in 22 miles. Highly recommended.

Perfect pond trip

Exactly as pictured. Responsive and helpful owner gave terrific advice via text on the day before and of our arrival. Loved the kayaks, dock, porch, deck, games and jigsaw puzzles, plus the loon and bald eagle spotting. Neighbors on both sides are relatively close but neither were present during our visit, so it was mercifully quiet - minus the passing motorboat/jetski here and there. Great opportunity for our family to unplug and unwind as cell reception was weak and the house wifi wouldn’t connect to our devices (thank goodness!!! we really needed a break).
