Family Gathering

Our weekend in the Barn was a gathering to celebrate my husband and I getting married. We wanted something just our immediate family would attend and make memories with. The Barn was spacious enough for us to spread out but intimate enough to come together for our special day. The pool house next door made the whole weekend so fun and exciting for all of us and helped tucker our kids out. The bedrooms fit our family almost perfectly and the beds were so comfy! The large open kitchen and living room was so beautiful and we just had an amazing time!

Family get together

Overall our stay was great. Its a great place for large families with children. All of our kids loved the tree house and the pool. The only issues we did have was two separate days we did have the carbon monoxide alarms go off a few times, due to the house using propane. This happened when cooking and a few hours after cooking. The owners were helpful and responsive every time we called about it which I appreciated, Even on Christmas Day. This would be something to keep in mind when booking for the winter months because we had to have windows and doors open a few times to help with a cross draft.

Obviously the owners or managers review the comments because the location had a blender and other electronic cooking devices. The only suggestion is change the shower curtains often and maybe make it a little more clear on the posting that the pool is shared. It’s a great pool though! Thank you

Barn

We had stayed at the Barn years ago and really enjoyed it. The house works well for our family of 12 people. While the house is showing its age a bit, it is still a good option for a Bear Lake stay. The major drawback now is they have built 3 more large houses and a pool house right next door. The result is you can have about 100 people all staying in a confirmed 1 block area. It detracts from the feel of the area with people constantly walking past the front door of the house. Also, I once counted 40 people in the smallish pool at one time. The pool is not well maintained and the door to the pool was never secured in entire time we stayed there. Not great if you have smaller children. Parking is also a bit of an issue at the Barn now that all of these buildings have been built adjacent the Barn.

Fun family escape

We picked this place because we thought the kids would love the slide in the house and time in the pool in the next building. We were right! Such a fun place to make memories. Even though we visited in April it is still very snowy this year and it was so nice to be about twenty steps from the pool house. We also liked that they were enough separate rooms for showers and toilets in the Barn that we didn’t have to wait turns after swimming. There were a few snags but the management were able to help us with a couple, some people are technology challenged in our group and they use electronic locks. Overall very enjoyable visit.

The Best Getaway

This property was great. When we had a small issue the property manager was right in it. The property was clean, plenaries of towels. Comfortable beds and pillows. I would recommend this property!!

Fun Family Gathering Place

Great place!!! Just a few suggestions: Loved the pool but it took the color out of some swimsuits and it could have been a little warmer. A snow shovel should be accessible to clear a path to car doors. Instructions on how to lock door should be included in email for those who don't have experience with digital key locks. Kitchen should have a hand mixer/beaters and a set of measuring cups.

Stay at the Red Barn

We loved staying at the Red Barn, and it was everything they said it was. We loved the county feel, and country decorating in the house. We had 23 people staying in the house and we had ample room for everyone. We loved, loved, loved the pool house, our family had a blast swimming and playing in the pool. Our little kids loved the huge treehouse in the barn right in the center of the house, especially the slide. We had planned to go sledding, but skipped that and stayed to have fun swimming and playing games right at the barn. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great Family retreat cabin

We had a wonderful time staying at the Red barn. Being Next door to the indoor pool was a plus. The cabin was clean and plenty of room. only down falls were the beds are a little too hard in a few rooms, not enough drinking cups and utensils for a party of 15 or more , no crock pot , no cabinets or pantry to store stuff in and the tv upstairs never worked the whole weekend , and the pool had way too much chlorine and made everyone itch really bad . but on plus side we had the pool to ourselves the whole weekend and the kids loved the pool, sure made it fun having an indoor pool to come back to after being in the cold rzr riding and snowmobiling . Perfect place for a family retreat or reunion highly recommend it
