Tucked away in lush greenery, just outside the peaceful village of El Colmenar and the charming town of GaucĂn, Villa GaucĂn offers the perfect escape from everyday life. The villa features an incredible jade green pool thatâs perfect for swimming laps or just relaxing, only 8 metres from the covered terrace. One side is shaded by trees, while on the other, you can soak up the sun on the loungers. A covered terrace connects the house to the beautiful gardens, creating plenty of cozy spots around the villa to unwind and take in the stunning Spanish countryside.The villaâs white exterior, with its terracotta roof and stone courtyard, blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. With sweeping views of the valley and the lush green hills beyond, the villa is set on extensive grounds of 70,000 mÂČ, with a manicured lawn surrounding the pool. For those looking to stay active, thereâs a well-equipped gym with a cross trainer and exercise bike, and plenty of exterior space to exercise in!Step through the large doors into the cosy living room, where sunny yellow walls and white sofas create a warm atmosphere. A patterned rug covers the tiled floor, and a wood-burning stove adds a cozy touch for winter months. Landscape art adorns the walls, and thereâs an assortment of board games for the whole family to enjoy. Beautiful white archways and plenty of plants bring a sense of tranquillity throughout the villa. For a more open and social space, the main living room, with it's high ceilings, invites guests to get together and socialise on the three sofas and with access to the exterior terrace. The well-equipped kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, including an oven, and thereâs a barbecue outside for alfresco dining.There are five delightful bedrooms in the villa, with all benefitting from an ensuite bathroom. A walkway connects the mix of double and twin rooms, and some rooms boast breath-taking views. Each room is decorated well, with crisp white linens on the beds. Exposed wooden beams on the ceiling add warmth, and colourful art pieces bring each room to life.

Here in Gaucin you will find shops to pick up supplies and restaurants with a real 'village' feel. Some local specialities include wild mushrooms and fresh asparagus - as well as the well-known tapas, a speciality of Andalucia! On a clear day, the views from here stretch all the way to Gibraltar!
The larger town from the villa is Ronda, which is about 50 km away. Well worth a visit, Ronda is carved out of a cliff and is the biggest of the 'pueblos blancos', blending Muslim and Christian influences. With fragrant olive groves and craggy limestone peaks, the area has stunning natural beauty and looks over a 100m-deep gorge and the River Guadalevin. Be sure to visit the 18th-century bridge across the ravine for sublime views and take in the vast history that this town has to offer.
For those in search of a beach day, head on down to Estepona, along the Costa del Sol. This town has a collection of highly-recommended shorelines. One of the most popular beaches is La Rada, which is almost 2 miles long, has gorgeous fine golden sand and plenty of sports on offer, as well as chiringuitos - small bars on the beach that are very popular with both tourists and locals
