Great Property, Poor Handling of Major Issue
We really enjoyed our stay for our sonâs college graduation. The house was very clean, well-equipped, and in a fantastic location, just steps from shops and restaurants. The lawn and back porch with fire pit were lovely for relaxing with family.Unfortunately, a major power issue affected our stay. We received an email from the owner around 5 p.m. saying a maintenance person would stop by that evening to address an outage in two bedrooms. We were home all evening, but no one ever came. With the AC units unable to power on, the bedrooms were very warm and uncomfortable, especially tough after a long graduation day. Even the lights didnât work, so we used cell phone flashlights. My husband spent much of the night trying to figure it out and eventually, around 4 a.m., discovered that the multiple AC units were tripping the breaker. The next morning, we got a message asking for a favor, for us to take the trash cans to the curb, no mention of the repair or follow-up. The following day brought an automated review request.Itâs a shame, because this could have been a perfect stay. The house is great, but the lack of follow-through and an uncomfortably hot, sleepless night really impacted our experience.
