I could write a book about how AWFUL this was, but Iâll be leaving that up to my attorney who Iâm working with to recoup a refund, FULL REFUND!Bullet Point Lowlights:1. Vehicle in driveway, we had no place to park.2. Owner or whoever was in the basement, had their TV blaring. 3. Overpowering smell of mothballs. Where there is smell there are toxic chemicals.4. Admission by Owner of use and smell of mothballs.5. Overwhelming smell of what seemed like cigarette smoke (ash trays present), which turned out to be a âsmell bombâ.6. Admission by owner the use of âsmell bombâ before we arrived.7. Admission by owner of using the âsmell bombâ to try to cover the odor of moth balls.8. The owners living area had direct access to where we would have stayed, thus creating a very unsafe feeling of the environment.9. Owners unwillingness to grant me a full refund, after stating in writing she would give us a refund.10. The property owner SHOULD NOT be allowed to be on VRBO. Admission of use of moth balls; Admission of smell of moth balls; Admission of use of smell bomb to mask the odor of moth balls; Admission of blaring TV; Rudeness to renter saying we âshould have asked them to turn TV down; Admission of offering full refund, but then not. The list is endless as to why the property owner should NOT be allowed on VRBO.My wife, daughter and I were in the rental less than 10 minutes total when we decided, âWe are not staying hereâ. The property is unfit, feels unsafe!
