The Lazy Possum Cottage @ PK

The Lazy Possum Cottage is a modern fishing cabin on the north side of Possum Kingdom Lake. This remodeled waterfront property offers a gentle slope to the water perfect for swimming and wading. It is usually deep enough to moor a boat or jet skis right at the shore although if the water level fluctuates you might have to tie it up a little further out or use our boat slip at the marina less than a quarter of a mile down the road. This is also the closest boat ramp.

The house has 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a queen. It will sleep 6 if the queen sized sofa bed is used. There is also room for floor mattresses if prior arrangements are made. It also has 2 full baths, one with a shower and deep tub combo, the master offers a walk in shower next to a jacuzzi tub. A laundry room with a full size washer and dryer is off the first bathroom. The large open kitchen with its granite countertops and farmhouse sink offers appliances including an oven, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher as well as small appliances such as coffee maker, blender, and toaster oven. Included are dishes, silverware, cups, barware, pots and pans, tea kettle, hand mixer, knives and baking dishes. A complementary starter array of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate is provided. The large living room doubles as a dining room that seats 6. There are 2 televisions both equipped with the ability to sign in to your favorite streaming service. There is surround sound in the living room and you can connect to the system via Bluetooth to stream music inside and on the porch. WiFi is provided. There is a gas fireplace that is available for use in the colder months.

On the lake side of the house is a screened in patio complete with a gas grill. Grill utensils are available. There is a built in eating bar facing the lake so you can enjoy the view. There is plenty of yard for the kids to enjoy and an outdoor shower to rinse off with easy access to the bathroom through the side door.

This location is right down the street from several restaurants, bait shops, gas stations, a small grocery store with an awesome meat counter, and a liquor store. Nearby are lots of trails for hiking and biking.
