Camp Lago is a cozy getaway nestled in the woodsy hill side, just steps from non-motorized Benson Lake.

Wake up to birds chirping and otters playing. Relax by soaking in the small inflatable hot tub, kayaking on the quiet lake, cooking in fully stocked kitchen, stroll around the 2 mile lake, or simply finish reading your book with a view.

Exploring the Hood Canal area, there’s saltwater beaches all around, fabulous restaurants and food experiences, as well as, hiking the many trails and mountains worth the drive.

Benson Lake is the little sister to Mason Lake, where boats and jet skis offer another lakeside experience with access just 3 miles away.

Important, the cabin is a short hike down hill from parking space. Plan for 22 steep rustic steps, with no handrail, to a serine ah-ha moment when the peaceful lake comes into view.

For security, this property uses cameras covering the parking area, and entrance. There is no video or sound recording in any part inside the home or anywhere else not listed above. Recordings automatically delete after a short period of time. None of your guest information is stored or kept.

Even better than the photos, felt unreal. Absolutely breathtaking view & such a healing place. The host was super responsive and patient with me. I ended up getting in after 1:30 am and she made sure I found the cabin. Planning another visit in the near future.

The physical description of the property was exactly as it was represented on VRBO. The amenities and domestic items were plentiful and the home was very clean. Outside, there were available kayaks, barbecue pit and assorted seating areas for our use, all very nice. The lake was perfect for swimming and kayaking, the water is so crystal clear, it was awesome. The only concern that we had was that on two days the temperature exceeded 90 and there was no air conditioning in the cabin, it was very warm to sleep at night. I would recommend a small AC unit for July, August and September. Other than that, our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed the solitude of the woods, walking and driving for sightseeing in the area was very nice.

Great view & activities

We stayed for a quick getaway from the city and loved all the games, water toys, etc. While it was too cold to go out on the lake, we would love to come back to use the kayaks one day! The cabin was clean and had great temperature control. So fun!

Great getaway

This trip was so fun for my mom and I to have a girls trip while visiting Washington for a wedding! The little cabin was the perfect size and it was perfect to get away from the city and be in the quiet of nature. Birds were all around and the scenery was breathtaking. The only thing that maybe needed a little improvement was the coffee maker. It was dirty from the previous visitors so we didn’t use it. Other than that, I’d definitely recommend to stay at Camp Lago.

Magical & peaceful Christmas

My two friends and I decided to run away for Christmas this year, wanting to find something secluded, quiet and in the woods. And with this booking, we found that and more. This cabin is not only adorable and super cozy, the views from the living room window of the lake are stunning. We sat at night and watched the rain fall/the trees sway, watched the sun come up in the morning on the lake. Enjoyed the fire pit outside. Watched some Christmas movies while making some Christmas cookies and dinner, wearing our complimentary fuzzy socks. This place is perfect for either a couple needing a romantic getaway, a group of 3 friends wanting to make some memories, or even great for if you just need some alone time. Needless to say - you need to stay here. I will absolutely be staying here again and again.

Disappointed

O didn’t hear from the until 11 am the day of check in. I had not heard so I thought it through the owner was nice enough to email me the directions and instructions so I hurry to pack up for myself puppy and my disabled son who uses a walker. Drove 1 hr to g t to the cabin hard to find in the fog I Parker the car at the top of the hill I started down the stairs it was very rustic a mountain goat trail If I had a chance to know more about the property I would not have chose it was my for my son and I to experience new places to stay while my son was not when to access the cabin I was at the property when I called the owner she said she would help get me a refund I followed up the next morning the very next day I call Vrbo and was told I would need to get the refund from the owner I called the number I used the night before and got vice message I left my contact information asked if we could negotiate a refund perhaps a percentage not the full amount. I got a call from a man saying I called his cell and that was not the owner. So buyer beware make sure you know well in advance the access and availability and accommodations â˜č

Benson Lake

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful little cabin. First, it is pet friendly and Bandit loved it. We will look to return again. Best for couples, and as noted, not for mobility impaired, as you have to go up/down steep stairs. We rate it 5 stars, and only concern was water is supplied directly from lake; I did not see this in listing. While owners stated they use it for brushing teeth, etc
we didn’t use it for anything other than showering and fortunately had lots of bottled water. Also, please note you have to pack trash out; was not an issue for us as we pre planned.
