This corner condo is on the eighth floor of Plantation Dunes at Gulf Shores Plantation, a lovely beachfront community on the Fort Morgan Peninsula. It's just a few steps from the sugar-sand beach (with seasonal beach service), multiple outdoor pools, an indoor saltwater pool, tennis courts, a fitness room, a sauna, and a picnic area with a shared gas grill. You'll also enjoy easy access to the gorgeous fairways at Kiva Dunes Golf Course.

Perfectly comfortable

Cozy & comfy. This condo has everything I need to relax and enjoy a weekend away. Fully stocked kitchen, balcony just right for morning coffee and evening cocktails, and then just melt into the bed at the end of the day.

Great Property. Bad Management

This was our second time staying at this property and our first time in this unit. It’s a great unit and the ocean views are very nice. On the second morning we were there we were having coffee on the porch when a group of men accessed the unit using the door code. They claimed to be engineers checking the doors. We were frustrated that we were not warned about this. As we were not fully dressed and it was before 9:30 AM. We are two young women traveling alone and were very frightened by the fact that someone (not the host) had the access code to the door. The most disappointing thing was the way it was handled. This is not a real host. This is a property management service that is national and had to then contact a local employee. This is not an effective management style. The initial responses were clearly AI generated. The local team only contacted us via phone and refused to use the chat feature on VRBO. This corporate model of Vacasa managed properties on VRBO is not a good look. Bad customer service for a good property. I feel bad for the actual owner of this property who probably does not know how bad the customer service is.

Cozy and well stocked

The condo unit itself was comfortable albeit very small. The kitchen had all of the equipment needed although I was surprised that there were no leftover spices like salt and pepper even. My teenage daughter slept on the sofabed and she found it comfortable. The queen bed is foam and was comfortable too if you like foam mattresses. I loved the fact that you had a view from windows of three directions since it is a corner unit however the actual deck was VERY small - barely fit two chairs so you couldn't really eat a meal out there. It was a nice view of the beach however. The grounds were pretty and we liked the breadth of amenities however the outdoor hot tubs were luke warm at best. I was a little annoyed that it cost money to park in an uncovered parking lot (I could almost understand a parking garage) far from town. And the manager's fee was excessive especially given the level of service received (it was all "robo-texts" - I had asked a question at one point and received no reply). We liked being right on the beach but the location is FAR from town and there isn't much nearby in the way of restaurants or markets.

We love this condo!

We have stayed at this property before and this is our favorite condo! The beach view is very important to us. This one is right on the front of the building so the view is amazing! It is a studio and there were 2 of us so the size was just right. We will definitely stay here again!

Great little place with a beautiful view!

We had a wonderful stay! The place is beautiful and has such a beautiful view of the beach/gulf. We used the pool and the hot tub - so relaxing! The only “snag” we had (and it wasn’t really a major snag…it was more of an unclear bit of information) was getting there to find out a parking permit for two days was $35. It’s not a crazy amount but I just wasn’t completely prepared for it. I’m not sure if the cost for parking changes seasonally or something, but it might be a good idea to list the price range for a parking permit. Overall, we loved our stay and would love to visit again sometime!

Nice place, great view!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The views are amazing. The room was a little smaller than I had it pictured but fine for just the two of us. This room is the farthest from the elevator (~125 steps) but not too bad. The beach is beautiful. I would highly recommend for a couple.

Great beach rental

This rental is exactly as described. It is small but fine for 2 people. The beach view and access to the beach were wonderful. We had a great experience. The only thing I would say was lacking was closet space, but that is completely manageable. I would have also liked the stocking of trash bags and toilet paper to have been a little more plentiful (1 trash bag & 2 rolls of tp for 5 days), however that is a very minor issue. Overall a great experience!

Beautiful views and comfy studio

This was a wonderful day trip for us. With it being early March we knew it would be too cool for much beach activity-but the view was so beautiful. It’s an older building, but they have done good with updates. The owner of this unit has really done a great job in its renovation. The bed wasn’t wonderful, but it wasn’t horrible as many reviews stated. The staff at The Sassy Bass restaurant was a little less than friendly, but was very easy access for a quick bite. We would definitely stay again.
