SURFS UP North Shore

The property located in a perfect location nestled just a few steps from Pipe Line Sunset North Shore. There was sand sun and a golden tan waiting for us just step onto the beach or enjoy the 3rd level open flat roof top with Crows nest room to boot...it was simply joyfully relaxing and calming to feel hear and see the sea churning up classic waves where locals and out of towners challenge their physical and mental stamina against the 12 and 15 foot waves. Waimea a mile or so down the street had 40 foot waves the locals were surfing. The place itself was spa ious and geT open concept kitchen. Aweso.e master bath w dou le vanity giant soaker tub, double shower heads. 3 levels for lots of privacy..we had evening drinks and watched the sunset. We enjoyed coffee each morning on the 3rd level roof top...we saw whales al.ost everyday for a month right from the 3rd le numerous breaching of the humpback whales about 3 milestone just left of the long needle pine tree out front by the life guard station.. This property although very beutiful it can do with a bit of TLC and a dresser or 2 in the downstairs big bedroom...otherwise I would stay here again... Thanks Marla GREAT COMMUNICATION..MAHALO

Great location!

Great place to stay. Had all the amenities that we needed. Plenty of space for 9 of us. We enjoyed the roof top deck, impeccable views!! The location was perfect as there were so many unique places to eat and beaches in walking distance, as well as a pillbox hike. The downside would have to be lack of air conditioning in one of the main bedrooms. However, the number of fans available throughout the home made it survivable. Otherwise, we couldn’t be happier. Can’t wait to come back!

Spacious family home rental next to beach

Awesome location with easy access and location, has private garage for parkng, next to beach, easily sleeps 4 couples, plus additional room for kids on huge sectional couch or loft daybed upstairs. House was clean with plenty of kitchen cooking supplies. Walk to sunset beach, or 1 mile drive to grocery store or sharks cove. Lots of privacy, lots of quiet beach, plenty of space for the teens and adults. Wifi worked perfectly for all! Better than staying in a cramped resort room, even if it were a king suite..., never again.... thank you for the best vacation and lodging experience of our lifetime so far....

Life saver!

Our original home we rented cancelled on us 2hrs before check in. So we were given a few to choose from and this one was perfect. Super cute and cozy and right on the beach. They knew about our situation and even let us check in early. Everything was there that you needed. Extra towels and linens to boogie boards. No phone reception unless you go outside but other than that it was perfect.

An Awesome House with Tons of Beds and the Most Amazing Location

Holy smokes! We had the best time staying at this property. 3 adults and 1 child spent a week having the best time ever on The North Shore. We actually said we should have invited more people because there was so much room. The location is next to none. Located right at Rock Piles and only steps from the sand and the water, with the skate park right across the street, we couldn't believe how close we were to everything we needed. Minutes away from Ted's Bakery, Foodland, and Pupukea Grill. Steps away from Rock Piles, Backdoor, Pipeline, Off the Wall, and even Ke Iki Beach, we loved being able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The two car garage provided ample parking, and we were able to rinse off in the outdoor shower after every beach visit. The fans and A/C combo worked great to keep us nice and cool and we watched the sunrise, sunset, and starts in the middle of the night from the UNREAL viewing deck up top. TK was an amazing manager and texted/wrote back to any questions we had and made sure we had the best time ever. We had family dinners at the giant dinner table and watched hockey games and movies from the giant living room tv and huge couch at night with full cable provided. I can't recommend this house enough. I was tempted to write a bad review just so it will be available next time we want to book. The location and home are even better than the provided photos and I'm already trying to figure out when we can go back!

Overall good house. Pictures look nicer than reality. Property not so clean.

The good: The best of the house is the location - it's just in front of the beach, and very close to the hottest surfing spots. Walking distance to some nice food wagons. The dining room is the best part of the house, because it's got a lot of space. There were lot's of kids stuff available for use (bodyboards, sand tools, etc.). Kitchen was nice. The bad: The terrace doesn't have any decent furniture to take advantage of it. The house wasn't well cleansed before we arrived. Beds besides the main room weren't too nice. The house feels old - from the pictures I thought it had been better maintained.

Comfortable

I have been a resident on Oahu for 15 years and had my family come stay for Christmas. I know how expensive the North Shore can be especially during peak times . We were offered a great price! Plenty of room , large dining room table which was great for Christmas dinner , great views. Appreciated the two car garage to park our cars and the many beach towels . The property manager was quick to respond when we had questions or needed help . Only down side was enormous puddle in front of property making it hard to walk back and forth to the beach , gets bigger and bigger the more it rains , we couldn’t find a broom in the house to help maintain sand on floors , one of the downstairs rooms doesn’t have AC , room was hot and ceiling fan made loud noises when on so turned that off to sleep but made it hot . Was without internet for a day and a half due to a power outage ( not anyone’s fault but the stormy weather) overall great stay . Would come again and recommend to friends :)

The house was OK - the pictures made it look nicer than it actually was. Needs updating.

I go to the North Shore about every other year and have always done a VRBO so I feel I have had many experiences with this. Overall I would not stay here again. The positives: - The interaction w/ owner and onsite caretaker was very good. Very responsive and professional. Many thanks for that. - The location was good - central to all things North Shore. - TVs in every bedroom was a nice bonus - kitchen was nicely updated w/ granite and all the equipment you may need - big couch was comfy and roomy - master bathroom shower and tub were nice -A/C in living room worked really well to cool the home - garage was nice - but all homes I have rented have a garage so it’s not really a difference The negatives (IMHO): - the house, particularly the downstairs, needs major updating. It is rundown - especially the downstairs bathroom. Tub was stained, and simply old bathroom. - there was a musty smell downstairs, particularly in laundry area - could not figure out what it was other than the home was older - the shag carpet in master bedroom was very unappealing. Just felt dirty. - overall cleanliness of the house, especially for the cleaning fee charged - was not up to my standard. Soap scum in bathrooms. Fridge upstairs wasn’t cleaned out. There’s a fridge in downstairs bedroom - not sure why - but that was very dirty. - the fourth bedroom upstairs was not usable for sleeping - it felt like an oven in there no matter what we did. Fans,open windows, living room a/c could not cool it - there is no usable outside space. The rooftop area is more like a concrete area. No furniture outside of two chairs. Really could not use it to relax - the beach is nice, but, swimming area is not directly behind home - too much coral. Have to walk about 300 yards. Not horrible - but wanted to mention it - the wooden floors need refinishing badly. It just made the house unappealing and feel dirty. Perhaps my expectations were not set appropriately. I think for the price paid - I have stayed in much nicer homes. This one was larger home - however because the fourth bedroom wasn’t usable for us the size wasn’t an advantage. Unfortunately this home just didn’t meet my expectations.

Wonderful!

Ideal location: 7 Mile Miracle, Foodland, Sharks Cove. Well equipped and beautifully furnished/decorated. Our party of 8 had a wonderful stay: big kitchen, big dining table, lots of comfortable seating for gathering and lots of privacy too with bedrooms and bathrooms on both floors plus the little crow's nest on the 3rd floor - seized immediately by our teenager. So great having an interior laundry with new appliances. The double garage with remote is unusual and nice. Having Wifi is really helpful since cellular is iffy in the area. All communication about the property was quick, efficient, helpful and happy. We loved our stay.

Quiet family get away but close enough to get "stuff"

Lovely property 100 feet away from the beach was such a treat! Plenty of room for our group of 9 with the sounds of the waves singing through every open window. A well stocked kitchen, laundry room and open living space with quick and easy access to the local grocery store and glorious Haleiwa make this a fantastic family get away. During our 7 days there we visited the Polynesian Cultural Center, snorkeled at Shark's Cove, walked the Waimea Valley, visited Honolulu twice (Pearl Harbor and Parasailing on Waikiki) and played for hours on the beach. The VANS Triple Crown of Surfing http://www.vanstriplecrownofsurfing.com/2017 was happening less than a mile down the beach and we even found the time to finish a 1000 piece puzzle as a family!! If you're looking to spend some great family time with the opportunity to scatter as needed, this is the place for you! Loved it!
