Riverfront Retreat at Harpers Ferry, Float & Swim!

Welcome to Rivermist Rest, a waterfront cabin on the Shenandoah River just minutes from historic Harpers Ferry. Enjoy private river access from the dock for swimming, kayaking, tubing, or relaxing by the water. Inside, you'll find a kitchen for gathering, cozy living spaces, and comfortable beds. Explore hiking trails, shops, wineries, and breweries nearby, then unwind by the fire pit overlooking the river. Perfect for families, couples, and friends - the perfect getaway for any season!

The space
GREAT LOCATION:
Just 15 minutes from historic downtown Harpers Ferry, the Appalachian trail, C&O canal for biking/walking, breweries, wineries, local shops, parks, museums, a casino, and more!

OUTDOOR SPACE:
Enjoy use of the private dock right on the Shenandoah River. The river is about 2 ft deep around the dock area with a gentle flow, and can be greater than 4 ft after continuous rainfall with a much greater flow. Current river conditions can be searched on google with "Shenandoah River conditions Harpers Ferry."

The expansive upper level deck provides spacious opportunities to dine, grill, and relax with a wonderful sunset view in the evenings. There is a bonfire area with Adirondack chairs, offering a great spot for sunset and stargazing views. The space under the house provides an all-weather hangout area with extra-long picnic tables, a ping pong table, TV with YouTube TV and Netflix, dart board, and putting green.

BATHROOMS:
Bathroom #1: Glass shower, double sink vanity. Accessible from primary room and hallway.
Bathroom #2: Shower/tub, single sink vanity. Accessible from hallway.

LIVING/KITCHEN SPACE:
The open vaulted-ceiling living space features views of the Shenandoah River and surrounding trees for a peaceful retreat feeling. There is a Roku 4K TV with YouTube TV and Netflix, a comfortable leather couch, and cozy blankets. The kitchen features a large 7-foot island with 4 leather stools. There are all new stainless steel appliances, baking dishes, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, and general kitchen needs. The coffee station features a Keurig stocked with k-cups, a French press, and a drip pot coffee machine. Tea drinkers we didn't forget about you, there is an electric tea kettle :).

WASHER/DRYER
A washer & dryer are available for use with complimentary laundry detergent.

Other things to note
*No smoking of any kind in the house*

Please keep pets off of beds and furniture during your stay.

Quiet hours are 10pm - 7am.

Infants/kids
A high chair and pack-n-play are provided in the king bed room closet for use during your stay. Always keep a close watch on children near / in the river.

Be aware that our home is in nature, and you may encounter bugs during your stay - primarily in the summer season. We have regular pest control to minimize the presence of bugs, but bugs, bees, and little creatures all merrily live near our river too.

We do not offer kayaks or other boats to guests, however there are many river tour companies (Harpers Ferry Adventure Center, River & Trail Outfitters, River Riders) that offer kayaks, rafts, and more to enjoy the river!

No fireworks, firearms, or illegal drugs are allowed on property.
