Getting Around Hilton Head Island

Our home is conveniently located on Hilton Head’s north/mid-island area, making it easy to enjoy beaches, dining, shopping, golf, and local attractions.

Approximate drive times from the home:
• Island beaches: 1–20 minutes
• Shelter Cove dining and marina area: 10-12 minutes
• Coligny Plaza and Coligny Beach: 15–20 minutes
• Harbour Town / Sea Pines area: 25-30 minutes
• Hilton Head Airport (HHH): approximately 3 minutes

Bike-Friendly Island
Hilton Head is famous for its extensive network of leisure paths and bike routes. Many guests choose biking as their favorite way to explore the island and reach beaches, restaurants, and nearby attractions.

Ride Share Services
Uber and Lyft are available throughout Hilton Head and are great options for airport transportation, dining, and evenings out.

Free Seasonal Trolley Service
The free *Breeze Trolley* operates during the busier seasons and connects many popular destinations around Hilton Head, including beaches, shopping areas, restaurants, and entertainment spots. The seasonal Breeze Trolley is available on Hilton Head, with the nearest stops from our property being approximately 10 minutes away by car, 45-60 minutes by foot. The island’s extensive bike paths and a personal vehicle are generally the most convenient ways to explore the area.
Note that The Beach House is on Hilton Head’s north end (Hilton Head Plantation area), while the seasonal Breeze route mainly serves Shelter Cove, Folly Field, Port Royal, and south-island tourist areas, so it is not typically considered walkable transit from that address.

Guest Tips
Many visitors use a combination of transportation: bikes during the day for exploring and beach trips, and rideshare or a vehicle for dining and evening outings.
Note that high speed golf carts are not allowed on the north end of Hilton Head's streets, so cart rental companies do not deliver to our community.


By booking the Lux Family Beach Retreat, you are agreeing to our Rental Conditions:
•Guest making the reservation must be 25+ and must stay at the property during the reservation
•This is a smoke-, vape-, and drug-free property ($500 violation fee)
•Pets are NOT permitted on the property ($500 violation fee)
•Use of pool/hot tub/ping pong table after 10PM is strictly prohibited due to STR noise laws on Hilton Head
•No parties allowed. Violators will be subject to immediate eviction without a refund
•Overnight street parking is prohibited
•Guests use bikes/slide/pool/hot tub at their own risk and assume 100% liability
•Failure to comply with check-in and check-out times will result in a $25 fine for the initial violation and every 30 minutes thereafter

***Please note: Because we reside in this home for part of the year, Airbnb has personally granted our property an exemption for health reasons from its Accessibility Policy regarding all animals including both service and emotional support animals. We want everyone to feel welcome and completely understand how important these animals are, so we are truly very sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

🌊 Fish Haul Beach (also known as “Mitchelville Beach”) is the beach nearest our neighborhood. Like most beaches in Hilton Head, this beach experiences a tide that goes unusually far out depending on the time of day. Part of the “Low Country” experience 🌾 While vacationing, be sure to check the local tide chart each day to plan your outings accordingly. Fish Haul Beach and Mitchelville Freedom Park are noted as some of the island’s hidden gems.
