Sweet Carolina Retreat in Sea Pines with Pool, Fenced Yard, Fire Pit & Games

Located in the prestigious Sea Pines Resort, Sweet Carolina Retreat has the amenities needed for that perfect beach vacation. This home has the rare combination of a spacious outdoor oasis along with a large fenced back yard with grass for 2 or 4 legged guests. Relax in the large sports pool or hot tub, and gather with your guests around the fire pit or outdoor bar. All of this is walking distance to the beach and an easy bike ride to Harbour Town (lighthouse) and South Beach Marina (Salty Dog).

If you are looking for a newly renovated beach home with one of the largest fenced backyards in the famous Sea Pines Resort, Sweet Carolina Retreat is a great home base for enjoying the best of Hilton Head Island. This charming Lowcountry style home on a beautiful expansive lot is gorgeous inside and out.

After parking in the paver driveway that holds up to 6 cars, you can unload your cars under the shade of a massive live oak tree with that distinctive South Carolina Spanish moss in the beautifully landscaped front yard. Walk up the majestic front steps to a classic Charleston-style porch with rocking chairs, perfect for enjoying morning coffee with your guests. A spacious open family room, kitchen and dining area will welcome you as you walk through the front door.

Designed for togetherness, the family room has space for you and your guests to relax on the comfy sectional, queen sleeper sofa and three stools under the sofa table. Plan out your activities for the day or cheer on your favorite team on the large 65 inch HDTV. On cool evenings, reminisce about the day around the gas fireplace.

Before or after a fun island day, the fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to fix delicious meals. Distinctive features of the kitchen are quartz countertops, bright white cabinets and a large island. Feeding all of your guests is a breeze with new stainless steel appliances (including a fridge, double oven range, two dishwashers, a microwave and an under the counter ice maker), pots and pans, cooking utensils and ample counter space to prep. Inside dining options include a dining table and stools at the kitchen island and the sofa table. There are also two dining sets (with a total of ten comfy C-Spring chairs) and a bar table with stools on the deck outside along with a large Weber Genesis 3 burner grill. We have not forgotten about the 4 legged guests as dog bowls are provided. All of the floors in the home are durable and water resistant wood-look ceramic tile so you do not have to worry about any guests messing up the floors.

One of the best features of Sweet Carolina Retreat is its beautiful large landscaped yard with a heated pool (see rules for pool heat fees). The 13` x 35` newly built pool is a sports pool (for fun games like volleyball) and has a shallow tanning ledge with two bubblers for lounging or for little ones to play. For the ultimate in relaxation, the pool deck has a spacious hot tub that seats seven (open and heated year round for no extra fee!). The possibilities for fun in the yard are endless - from roasting marshmallows over the resort-style gas fire pit, to cooling off at the poolside bar equipped with a TV, to playing a game of corn hole, to reminiscing with loved ones on the deck at the end of the day.

There are also opportunities for fun inside the home and garage. The garage game room (cooled with a ceiling fan) contains a ping pong table and foosball. While the adults gather in front of the family room TV to cheer on their favorite team, the kids can watch movies or play Xbox Series X on the 65 inch HDTV in the upper level living room.

One entire side of the main level contains the spacious primary suite. This sanctuary has a plush king bed, TV and plenty of room to store clothes in the large door chest, dresser and walk in closet. Off of the bedroom is a cozy sitting room with a desk, desk chair and other seating. The spa-like bathroom features a double vanity, large tub and separate shower.

Sweet Carolina Retreat has enough room for multiple families, couples or friend groups. Including the primary suite, the home has five bedrooms and four full (and one half) bathrooms. The adults will be happy with the four bedrooms that sleep two each in king, queen (two) and full beds. The kids and kids at heart will be ecstatic with their sleeping options, including a bunk room that sleeps up to five, a queen sleeper sofa (family room) and a comfy sectional (upper level living room). For the comfort of all guests, this home is recommended for no more than 12 adults and for no more than 16 guests total, including adults and teenagers/kids who can sleep on the bunk beds, trundle and sleeper sofas.

Sweet Carolina Retreat also has the location and amenities that make trips to the beach easy. The home is less than a mile (about 19 minute walk; 5 minute bike ride) to a less crowded Sea Pines beach. A slightly longer, however more scenic walk, takes you on a leisure path through the Heron Point golf course, past the golf clubhouse to the Beach Club. If you prefer not to walk or ride a bike to the beach, the seasonal beach shuttle is just a one minute drive from Sweet Carolina Retreat. Don`t worry about bringing beach essentials on your trip since Sweet Carolina Retreat has you covered with beach towels, portable chairs, umbrellas, beach wagon, cooler, beach toys, etc. After playing in the sand, Sweet Carolina Retreat`s outdoor shower (and garden hose for the dog) will rinse off the sunscreen, saltwater and sand so you can feel refreshed before going inside.

Sweet Carolina Retreat not only has a convenient location for getting to the beach, the home also has an ideal location for enjoying Sea Pines and Hilton Head. Sweet Carolina Retreat is close to the popular bike/leisure paths that take you all over Hilton Head. From Sweet Carolina Retreat, bike to Lawton Stables (3 minutes), the Forest Preserve (6 minutes), Harbour Town/lighthouse (10 minutes), Coligny Plaza (14 minutes) and South Beach Marina/Salty Dog (18 minutes).

As a guest, you will have access to the entire home as well as the spacious grounds, except for a small locked owner closet.

Although I am not available in person, I am just a cell phone call away. I answer my phone 24/7 and contact my housekeeping and maintenance crew that live in the area. Their response rate and time is excellent.

Approximately one week before a guest`s stay, I email guests the check in information. This information contains the door code so you can go directly to the home at the 4:00PM check in time. That information also contains the home address, directions, what is and isn`t included, how to work things in the home, check out reminders, etc.

YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO RENT THIS HOME. This isn`t a late-night party spot or a crash pad as it is located in a quiet residential area and Hilton Head Island quiet hours of 10:00pm to 7:00am are enforced. Please be respectful and take care of it as if it were your own.

Sea Pines has rules and regulations regarding entering into the resort:
1. Short term renters, renting in Sea Pines are not permitted to bring in motor-homes, travel trailers/ RVs, boats, personal watercraft, or jet-ski and
ski-doos.
2. Electric & pedal-assist bikes and scooters are not permitted in Sea Pines.
3. Vehicle passes are limited to the number of cars that can fit in the driveway, which is 6 cars for Sweet Carolina Retreat. One weekly rental pass is required for each vehicle and can be purchased for $20 CASH ONLY at either Sea Pines gate.

If you are bringing a dog(s), you must check the box in the Travelers section `I am traveling with pets`. The nonrefundable pet fee for the first dog is automatically included in your price assuming that you checked the box. If you are bringing more than one dog, a nonrefundable pet fee of $30 per night ($150 max per week) per extra dog will be collected sometime between your booking date and check in date. House-trained dogs of any size are welcome, and a third or fourth dog is welcome if all of the dogs are accustomed to being together and get along well. You are responsible for picking up after your dog(s), bringing towels to clean paws before entering the home and not leaving your dog(s) unattended. If additional costs are incurred for cleaning, pick-up, or damage as a result of the dog(s), you will be billed for those costs.

Sweet Carolina Retreat has a pool that can be heated between September and May for an additional fee of $50 per day (with a free day of heat if you stay a week) if you request the heat at least 5 days before your stay. If the outside low temperature is colder than 55 degrees, paying for pool heat is not recommended as the pool may not be able to maintain a warmer temperature. The hot tub is open and available to guests year-round and there is no fee associated with heating the hot tub.

This home has four exterior Ring cameras facing toward the front door, parking area, pool and backyard. There are no cameras inside the home or facing toward the outdoor shower. There is also a noise decibel monitor (does not record audio) to monitor sound levels and their duration in the backyard during the Hilton Head quiet hours of 10PM to 7AM.
