Keeping It Salty #101 Oceanfront Townhouse in Surf City, Dogs Allowed!

Keeping It Salty #101, a Landmark Vacation Rentals property, has everything you could possibly want in a vacation home! A sun-soaked upper deck with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, this townhome has a shared-wall that is staggered, providing both outdoor privacy and separation from the next-door neighbors. A private, elevated walkway leads from the lower shaded deck right down to the beach. Oceanfront, with a deep lot and plenty of parking, this home is located on one of the most popular streets in Surf City. South Shore Drive is conveniently located to everything and is a low mileage street (25 mph) perfect for taking a quick walk or bike ride to the pier, restaurants or the Surf City Ocean Pier (.05 mile) IGA for groceries. This dog-friendly property allows one dog max for an additional non-refundable fee of $300.

On the inside you will find everything is fresh and new. With contemporary coastal decor, soothing colors, and comfortable seating and beds. Bed linens, bath linens and kitchen towels are provided by a professional linen company, leaving no question that they are clean and sanitary. There is no need to bring these things from home. Beds will be made prior to guest arrival.

In the kitchen you are greeted with gleaming countertops and new appliances, including a dishwasher and built-in microwave. A Keurig and a traditional coffee maker are also provided. A Welcome Kit including basic first night necessities such as: bathroom tissue, paper towels, dish washing and laundry soap will be left for you on the counter and is included in your stay.

For entertainment there are smart TVs in all the bedrooms and the living room to log into your favorite channels. The WIFI is strong and able to handle all your portable device and streaming needs.

House Plan: Guests enter on the ground floor into the foyer and proceed up the stairs to the second floor. The garage is not available for guest use. On the second floor you will find the oceanfront master bedroom which opens onto the lower deck. It has a king-sized bed and a private master bathroom with double sinks and a large glass, walk-in shower. Proceed down the hallway and you will pass the laundry closet with a full-sized washer and dryer. Next you will come to the hallway bathroom. This bathroom has a second door that opens onto the second floor king bedroom. Next door to the second floor king bedroom is the bunkroom. The bunkroom is a cozy nook that contains one set of built-in twin bunk beds. Proceed up the stairs and you will be on the third (top) floor, featuring a light filled living room with panoramic ocean views. The dining area and kitchen with bar seating are open to the living room. Tucked behind the kitchen is the third floor queen bedroom. Beside it is a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Each deck has a table and chairs for guests to enjoy the beautiful views and ocean breezes.

There is no landline telephone in this home and no cable television, with Smart TVs provided instead. There is no grill provided, but grills are available to rent through various local rental companies if desired. Grilling is allowed only in the parking area, away from the house.

There is a keyless entry lock on the main entrance door. Guest groups are assigned a personal entrance code for the duration of their stay. There’s no need to keep up with keys and no need to check in or out at the office. Everything in this home was made to provide a safe, no stress, contactless process where you can relax from the moment you arrive. Professional cleaning service is provided at the end of your stay.

Provided With Your Stay: Bath Towels, Hand Towels and Washcloths, Bath Mats, and Kitchen Linens are provided. Beds will be made upon your arrival. Please note, top bunks will not be made. A First Night Amenity Kit which includes: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Trash Bags and More will be waiting for you! Professional cleaning service is provided after every guest stay.

This home is professionally managed by Landmark Vacation Rentals. For larger groups, this duplex may be rented alongside its sister property, Beach Mountain #211, allowing accommodations for up to 18 guests total.

Beach getaway

This was our second year staying at Keeping it Salty and we hope to be back next year for our third year in a row! It’s the cutest little house and perfect for our little family vacation. It’s always so clean even being a dog friendly house - you’d never know it (we don’t have a dog). It’s conveniently located to all the food and the little grocery store that you could walk if you needed/wanted to. Definitely recommend staying here!

Awesome property

Great stay here with our young family. Close to everything in Surf City so we had tons of options for nearby spots for dinners. Floor plan was perfect for us and amazing, unobstructed views from most of the rooms. The unit was very clean when we arrived and beds comfortable. Only complaint is the ability to stream any form of live TV; wanted to watch football but logging into multiple apps through our accounts was not allowed on the TV. Had it not been football season we would’ve never noticed.

Super duper on the beach!

If you want a lovely house right on the water this is the place for you. Very clean, has everything you need, comfortable beds, 2 decks, quiet street, stairs right to the beach
. the whole package. If you have trouble climbing stairs this is not the place for you, it is 3 stories

The property overall was pretty good. We did arrive to find hair balls in the master bath shower and sink. We called the property manager and didn't hear from them for 2 days. It is a nice house and is well located. Unfortunately we also had rats running around on the deck and the ground below.

Perfect Quiet Beach Getaway

My family enjoyed an amazing week together at Keeping it Salty in Surf City, NC! This was the perfect, beachfront quiet getaway. The house was perfect for our 3 generations - plenty of space for everyone to be together and enough privacy when we needed it. Beyond the calm coastal decor, the house and kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. For as amazing as the actual home is - the view, decks and beach access were even more spectacular. We spent nearly our entire week relaxing on the beach, swimming in the ocean and searching for beach treasures. It was perfect! When a small issue arose with the dryer, the management company was quick to respond. They sent a temporary fix immediately and had the repair completed in less than 24 hours. We appreciated that the entire experience was swift and stress-free.

Perfect Beach Vacation

Property is right on the beach. Walk out your door and into the ocean. Major advantage with kids because you can take less down with you/come up for lunch vs. haul everything.

Family Beach Vacation

Everything was wonderful, from check in till we left. We had Amazing weather which was a plus but the beach was beautiful, the neighbors were friendly and the area in general was very nice. We've been vacationing at the beach for 20+ years now and this was by far our favorite beach house. We will definitely be booking again in the future.
