Great house - near to the beach

It was nice to stay in Jonsies house. Everything there what you need. Had really nice neighbours. Just a short walk to the beach. And Holmes beach for itself us just a beautiful and relaxed place!

Paradies in super Lage

Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und alles ist in einem guten Zustand. Der Strand ist wenige hundert Meter entfernt und einfach nur traumhaft. Die Lage mittig von AMI ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Wir hatten das GlĂŒck den Pool und die Terrasse fĂŒr uns zu haben, da die andere HĂ€lfte nicht vermietet war und wir somit volle PrivatsphĂ€re hatten.

All of the beds were hard as a rock and found what looked like blood on a twin bed. We moved from the king bed to the twin sized beds hoping they would be softer. NOT. The master BR had an old and monstrous wooden frame that caused several bruises on my wife and I. The bed cracked from movement that it woke both of us when we moved on it. The fan only had one speed and was so loud that we had to shut off. All the furniture was old and wore out. All the cooking pans were outdated and could not be used without your food sticking to them. The door ice maker was not working well and had to buy ice. The pull cart for the beach was old, ripped, and was hard to pull in the sand. The air conditioner could not keep up with the heat and it was only 79 degrees most of the time. The only good part was the pool. The exterior was well landscaped too. The owner asked us to give up our tv remote and give it to our neighbor because theirs was stolen. It had old appliances and the dishwasher was rusted out. We also never received the correct code for the push button front door and had to use the key to unlock the front door. There were several beach chairs in storage but half were broken. We tried to reach out to the owner during our stay but never received an explanation why the furniture was so old and damaged.

Our week at this property was beyond relaxing. The pool was our oasis everyday. One block from the beautiful beach. The kitchen was perfectly stocked for the many fresh fish dinners we enjoyed. The only thing I can complain about is the mattress was not comfortable for me. We would come back to this property and hopefully bring some family or friends to rent the other half of the duplex.

Great location and stay for our spring break! House was perfect for our family of four. Clean, with plenty of towels and beach accessories. Kitchen had all the staples needed for cooking and fridge was huge. Location was amazing. Quiet in street off the main road with an easy walk to the beach. Pool was great too! Would definately stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay very much and the communication was easy and excellent. Great sun on the pool and super close to the beach! We used the wagon daily!! The king bed was pretty firm, and some of the towels could stand to be updated but overall it was a great value for the price point. It would be fun to rent both sides with friends! Oh and the kitchen was well stocked and even had coffee filters and salt/pepper! So many rentals don’t come with those basics so we were pleasantly surprised!

Jonsie was great to work with! She always responded right away when we had questions! The house was great! Kitchen was well stocked! It was nice to have a selection of beach chairs, an umbrella, the wagon, etc. The pool was very nice! Love the saltwater! We really enjoyed having the picnic table and lounges on the front patio. Love that it’s so close to the beach!

The beautifully decorated and comfortable home was very nice. The yard and pool were perfect. The brand new grill was unexpected. All beach chairs, wagons, toys were available. Brand new washer and dryer. Private backyard backed up to a 1920’s estate. No high rises looking down on you. Quiet friendly neighborhood. Minutes to walk to the beach. 5-10 minute walk. Close to everything you need. We loved it. It had everything you might need for a great time. Thanks for not disappointing.

We had a great stay! The house is a 5 minute walk to a very nice beach with soft sand and calm water, which was perfect for our 4 year old son.The host was very responsive and extremely easy to work with. The pool area is awesome! There were pool and beach toys for us to use along with a wagon to bring supplies to the beach. I highly recommended staying here!

Great stay. Everything I needed in the house was there. Pool is saltwater which is excellent. Beautiful pool. Owner answered right away. Was very attentive & nice. Cleaning lady was rude, overbearing and at the property several days hanging out during my stay. Very uncomfortable. Washing machine doesn’t work well. Sometimes the kitchen water doesn’t replenish. Other than that overall a good stay.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars cause 5 just doesnt feel right. From the moment we arrived to the day we left it felt like home away from home. Its in a wonderful location and just steps away from the beach. The pool was beautiful and clean. The host Jonsie was so responsive and friendly. We will be back here for sure!!!

Beautiful house and pool. We had a great time and the kids loved being so close to the ocean. The house is nestled in the heart of Holmes Beach and only a 5 min gold cart ride to either end of the island. Great stay and will book again.

The owner was good on communication, and the property itself is beautiful—especially the pool scene.However, there are areas where the experience could be improved. First, it would be helpful to clearly state in the listing that the home is a duplex. Throughout the week, we were unsure if the other side was also rented, which created unnecessary stress. Clear communication confirming privacy and exclusive use would have gone a long way to relax.The pool crew arrived unannounced, walking in the gate during our laying out and added chemicals without any explanation. Unsure if safe to swim,and left. Ideally, the crew should leave a notice or contact guests in advance.The cleanliness of the pool was another issue. It was not properly cleaned during our stay—there were decayed chicken wings at the bottom of the pool for the entire week, indicating that they had been there well before our arrival. Some wall lights were loose, the garbage disposal not working & the TV box looked like it could fall at any moment. These issues made us worry we’d be blamed for damage that wasn’t our fault. A note would have helped.The A/C can’t be set below 70 or it shuts off, and guests are told they’ll be charged if maintenance is needed. That warning should be sent by text—not just written on a small card—since most people won’t see it. Update these and guests will be more at ease to enjoy. Nice property.
