Clean, close to beach, comfortable

Great stay for family vacation. Awesome amenities in condo. Used cooler and beach chairs. Kitchen stocked with cooking necessities. Close to beach. My only complaint was the heavy footsteps upstairs and constant banging of patio door from upstairs. We were gone for most of the day so it wasn’t a huge deal.

Perfect for us

Location was good. Pool was good and usable as the trade-winds were prevalent. Kitchen was adequate and we cooked most of our meals. Beds were comfortable. Open the windows, it’s Maui!

Nice location, but see “cons” before booking

Pros: - Location was amazing! Close to everything Cons: - Lots of mosquitos! - Gets REALLY hot and there’s no A/C. The ceiling fan doesn’t help much - Beach had a lot of rocks - We had a family with kids on the floor above us so we woke up to the sound of them stomping often — just something to be mindful of before booking

Incredible LOCATION

We have always dreamt of having a location right next to a swimmable beach . The location of this ground unit is incredible. It was about 30 steps to a beautiful beach from the unit. We also loved the two murphy beds since we have 2 teenagers. The “My Perfect Stay” staff & management were courteous & accommodating. The only issues we had were: 1- Unit was too hot since there was no AC. A few of the fans were not working or produced no air movement. With a few additional working fans it should become more comfortable. The unit needs at least 4 working/fast moving fans. There were 5 but only 2 really moved air/worked properly. We have sent feedback to agency so hopefully it’ll be taken care of for future stays. 2- There were a few small roaches that came out in the kitchen at nights. Our teens were bothered by seeing them. Overall, the LOCATION was a winner & it was close to everything.

Great place!

We had a great time in this condo! It served us well. Accurate website restriction. The only thing to note is that the airflow through the condo with all the open slots of windows was not what was expected. With the description of ocean breeze through the condo, I would have expected more. Good thing we were gone most of the day but it was warm when we were there. Impressive was all the things the condo had! You don’t have to bring anything. Every piece of cookware, beach chairs, cooler, so many towels. The views from the property are amazing!

Hale Kei condominiums are on a lovely spot on the Maui coastline. You cannot stay much closer to the ocean than this! The condo is clean and well maintained and it was perfect for our family’s stay on Maui. The neighborhood has a more local flavor than the resorts, and this condo sits right on the edge of a neighborhood park that is well used. The pool is small but very nice and has an incredible front row seat of the sunset.

Great condo in the perfect location on the island there are green sea turtles in front of the condo everyday! With amazing sunset views. The condo was well stocked and comfortable with little extras that were really nice like a small cooler ice packs and beach chairs. The manager was always available to answer any questions

Great location, above average stay.

This is an above average stay at a great location and a very prompt management crew. Had issues with check in but they were sorted promptly by the property manager. The stay it’s comfortable but lacks some good to have amenities like an AC, big dish washer and a well functioning stove.

Right on the beach

My wife and I are outdoorsy and planned to be outside for our stay. We brought our ten month old son. This place is perfect! Sliding door open to a park right on the beach, food within walking distance, child friendly beach and general quiet atmosphere. The pictures are accurate. Bright and clean. Plenty of non-glass options for the beach and pool. The plastic wine glasses were perfect for watching sunset from the beach. Stayed at the end of August and had ideal view of sunset between the islands!

Perfect island getaway

This is a 1-bedroom unit on the ground floor of a family-friendly two-story condominium complex. It overlooks the beach and a neighborhood park with a nice local vibe. Convenient walking distance from shopping, places to eat, surf shops, etc. The kitchen is well-equipped—we stocked up at the Costco in Kahului when we arrived and ate in most of the time. It’s a really great location for exploring the beaches and hiking trails of West Maui; our drive to the summit of Haleakala to see the sunrise (reservations needed well in advance!) took a bit over 2 hours. We enjoyed watching the sunset and the sea turtles from the pool deck. As the listing says, there’s no air conditioning, but it’s well-ventilated with plenty of fans and was perfectly comfortable for our August stay. People are paying $$$$ to stay at the big resorts just up the road; you’ll have a much more down-to-earth experience here with money left over for adventures. We’d happily stay here again.

Beautiful week at Hale Kai

The location is perfect! Right next to Honokawai Park and across the street from the Farmer's Market. The park is beautiful and well maintained. The beach is great for walking with your toes in the surf, and it is not very crowded. We loved watching all the kids get on school buses in the mornings. The views are amazing. We ate most of our meals on the patio, overlooking the park and the beach. The swimming pool is right by the water. Conveniently close to Lahaina, shopping, and groceries. Our condo was roomy, clean, and comfortable. Extras like the beach chairs came in handy at the beach and at the Ukulele Festival at MACC. The kitchen was perfect for cooking simple meals at home. The turtle scene on the glass shower wall is beautiful. The landscaping is beautiful. I need a layout map with the names of all the tropical flowers we found. I recommend Unit 107 to my friends and family for future trips.

Great Place!

We really enjoyed staying here. The pool was great for the kids. The condo was very comfortable and the location was great. We felt like we were a little off of the beaten path, but close enough to everything too. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Hidden gem

We loved our 3 weeks in Maui and would recommend the Hale Kai to our friends. It has that old Hawaii vibe. The condo was very well appointed. There was good trade winds so the place stayed pretty cool. The murphy beds were great for the portion of the trip that my daughter and sister were with us and the condo size was even better when it was just the two of us. The pool was right next to the ocean and was my favorite part of the property. The full time residents were very welcoming and had a wealth of information about the area. The farmers market across the street is a must do as well as Bad Ass Coffee. The fish market is also very yummy and the food trucks are another must do. We plan to be back at this same location next year.
