Welcome to 1865 Turtle Dunes, a luxury 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom oceanfront villa in the Destination Amelia Vacation Rental Collection. Completely renovated and outfitted with smart upgrades and designer touches in 2024, this beautiful villa sleeps four and offers guests full access to a large complex pool and tennis courts.

The gorgeous “Turtle Nest” villa boasts many standout features, including its chef-grade kitchen appliances, a three-speaker Sonos system, power window shades, adjustable lighting, and a private, locked outdoor storage closet to hold beach gear conveniently right next door.

Turtle Nest is tucked into the quiet southern end of the gated Amelia Island Plantation (AIP), a sprawling 1,340-acre paradise surrounded by maritime forests, tidal salt marshes and pristine, sandy beaches. Dining, shopping, and spa services are offered nearby at the Omni Amelia Island Resort, located within the AIP.

Both bedrooms have luxurious king beds, smart TVs, attached full bathrooms, and access to private oceanfront balconies. The second bedroom also has a remote workspace and a closeted GE stacked washer and dryer set that means guests can pack light.

In the living room, 1865 Turtle Dunes is wonderfully appointed with upscale but comfortable furnishings. You'll feel like you are in a private, fully remodeled home instead of a typical resort rental! Little touches like playing cards and games will help you settle in and make new etched memories with your loved ones.

The large sliding glass doors leading from both bedrooms and the living room to the two private balconies allow for plenty of natural light. Have a front row seat to see the sunrise in the morning or to watch for dolphins at play during the day.

Golf is available within the AIP at Oak Marsh or the Little Sandy short course. There are multiple other great courses on the island as well. Tee times can be scheduled online.

Nearby, bikes and golf carts can be rented to explore the larger community and venture to AIP playgrounds like Drummond Park and Aury Island. Many of our guests enjoy strolling on the beach or along the community's shaded walking and biking trails.

Take a scenic drive north on A1A to the charming Fernandina Beach Historic District, where you can find unique boutiques, shops and dining options. Drive south on A1A to visit coastal nature preserves like Little Talbot Island State Park, known for its easy biking, hiking, kayaking, and birding opportunities.

We will gladly answer any questions about area activities and our amenities!

**Please note that a smaller dog under 20 pounds may be considered. If approved by management, guests must submit a $150 nonrefundable pet fee and sign the pet agreement. Note that dog must be current on all vaccinations, be house broken, be spayed or neutered, and must be sociable with people and other dogs. No cats or other pets will be considered.
