Enchanting 4-Season Retreat in the Woods Near Trails Lakes and Resorts

Get away to this cabin in the woods and make the most of everything Northern Michigan has to offer. Hibernation Station is the quintessential outdoor getaway backing up to thousands of acres of state land where you can hit ATV and snowmobile trails, hunt, do some mushroom picking or hike. Our cabin is just around the corner from Little and Big Bear lakes great for swimming, fishing, boating and kayaking. Perfect for family fun, couple’s retreats, or a guys’ weekend for up to 8 guests!

In summer months enjoy the large deck backing up to the woods, a fire pit, miles and miles of trails for off-roading fun, and a huge pole barn to store all of your toys. Golfers can find three golf resorts all within a 25-minute drive!

When temperatures start to fall, take advantage of the snowmobile trails just steps from the cabin, local skiing, tubing, and snowshoeing, or hide inside in the warm cabin and checkout the snow from the abundant windows looking onto the beautiful winter scenery.

The cabin has everything you could need for your escape from the bustles of everyday life! The fully equipped kitchen includes a coffee maker, microwave, dishware, breakfast bar, and a dishwasher. There are two living spaces with TV, internet, and games all in a cozy setting. Towels and linens, ceiling fans, washer & dryer are just a few more things to ensure a carefree stay!

A couple of things to note!
Our property is located off of a two-track road. We highly recommend a four or all-wheel drive vehicle. While we do our best to keep it plowed, it's in the woods! Things get messy.
The only internet available is through a T-Mobile hotspot we provide. You can have multiple devices connected to the network and stream, which is how we provide streaming services. But again, you're in the woods, so we like to caution it's not as powerful or reliable as your cable or broadband internet in the city.

Summer orv trip

This cabin is AWESOME! We loved it. The game/recreation room was great. Plenty of games for everyone of all ages. The TV was great for a movie night and an endless choice for movies! The cabin had everything that you needed, from the coffee bar to the kitchen and everything in between. The grandkids loved the hammock and the basketball goal. Very peaceful. We rode sxs's straight from the cabin and liked that we had access to the pole barn to park them in. Great communication with the owners and check in was easy. I really can't say enough about this place. Everyone loved this place. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Nice beach in Lewiston which is about 15 minutes from the cabin. Absolutely loved It!

Great weekend at the hibernation station!

The stay was great overall. Cabin is lovely. Really enjoyed the family/game room. Came up to ride atvs. The ice storm put a bit of a damper on that, but we rode over in kalkaska so it wasn’t a total bust. Loved having use of the pole barn to store our atvs. Thankfully we did not bring our large trailer with us. Would not have made it down the narrow road to the cabin! There was a mistake in our booking and the host was quick to rectify it!

It’s a great place to stay!

We all enjoyed our trip, We cooked breakfast and dinner every day and snowmobiled during the day. The cabin had everything we needed and plenty of games to enjoy. Would highly recommend staying there.

This was an outstanding cabin for us! We weren’t there much during the weekend but it was a very relaxing and homey cabin to come back to after a long day. Cabin was spotless and check in/out directions were easy to understand. We loved the game room
so much room for activities! If staying here in the “snow” months you would definitely benefit from a 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle. We would definitely stay here again and again.

Very nice cabin. We enjoyed our 2nd stay just as much as the 1st time. Listing description is spot on. Wifi not strong but that's well explained in the description. Cabin was clean, comfortable, and great condition. Adding a top dishwasher rack would be helpful but that's a very minor inconvenience. Clear communication and instruction from friendly owners.

Great place for a quiet stay

I ended up with a short notice free long weekend and got lucky to find this place. Everything was exactly as described and even cuter in person. It was quiet and well taken care of, I loved all the little touches. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in the woods. While there are neighbors nearby, everyone was quiet and respectful and you can only see one neighbor from the front yard. Everything was perfect and I got some much needed relaxation and sightseeing done. Thank you so much!

Beautiful getaway

Beautiful, cozy cabin with private yard. Everything was as listed and made our extended weekend getaway just perfect. Wish there would have been some wood available onsite for the wood stove and an awning over the front door would have kept us dry while getting in while it was raining. But those things wouldn’t stop us from coming back or recommending this place to someone else.

Perfect place!!

This place was everything advertised and more! The location was remote and tucked away, the house was clean, and the pole barn was perfect for our gear. The game room was everything the pictures advertised; we had a blast! In one weekend, we disc golfed, rode the trails and golfed at the lakes. Nothing was more than 30 minutes away. Definitely recommend!

Heavenly hideaway

Great Hideaway

This cabin is the perfect hideaway for just about any age! We traveled with our kids ages 1 year to 11 years and they all enjoyed it. There’s no dangerous areas for a crawling baby (just lock the glass door if you want to leave the front door open because it doesn’t latch) and there’s so many fun games and activities for all ages! We didn’t get to do much hiking or anything, but it seems there is a lot in the area. Beds were comfy. The only thing for me was that it got a little sketchy driving in and out with my van. It was doable but just be ware in case there’s a lot of rain. Definitely need 4 wheel drive in winter like they said! Hope to go back one day.

Family get away

Great time in the cabin! We went to several different places so we didn't get to spend as much time at the cabin as we would have liked. However, our time there was wonderful! The fires every night seemed to bring out the laughter and fun. I had several friends comment on how lovely the cabin looked (from pictures) and seemed interested in renting.
