Kahaluu Bay Villas #102 is located across the street from the iconic Kahaluu Bay. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo has it all. Enjoy an open layout of the living area, kitchen, sit-down dining table, and more. Sit on the large lanai and enjoy the ocean views.

Upon entry, you have a hallway with the bedrooms on either side. The primary bedroom has a California king-size bed and a smart television. The bathroom features a double vanity sink, a separate shower, a large soaking tub, and a closet and dresser for guests' use.

The guest room has two twin beds, a smart television, and access to the hallway bathroom. The guest bathroom has double vanities, a walk-in shower, and a soaking tub, and there is a washer and dryer for guests.

Enjoy the open floor plan of the living area and a well-stocked kitchen. The kitchen has beautiful wood cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless-steel appliances. Keep the chef company and relax on the bar stools or have a sit-down dinner at the dining table. Stir up a drink at the wet bar in the dining area and relax outside.

The living room has ample seating for guests' use and a large flat-screen television.

The lanai offers a great view of the plumeria fields in front of the property and the ocean at Kahaluu Bay. Sit out and listen to the birds and enjoy your cup of Kona Coffee.

The complex has an elevator, a gated pool area, and BBQ for guests to use. You can walk across the street for snorkeling at Kahaluu Bay or sit on the black sand beach.

The check in was good. The facility in is good general condition. THe carpeting in the bedroom needs cleaning or replacement. THe circuit breaker in the kitchen by the sink is overly sensitive and trips easily. The built-in micro is non-operative and looks to need to be replaced and has been so for some time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything about the unit was as nice as advertised. We enjoyed to 5 min walk to snorkeling at Kahalu'u Beach Park and we often had the pool and BBQ area to ourselves. The location is also close to the Magic Sands Beach, the Keahou shopping center, and Route 11 which makes it easy to drive to other island sites. We also really liked the large, open living/dining room area and view from the lanai. We would definitely rent this unit again.

Wonderful accommodations near our favorite beach!

We loved our stay at this property! It gave everyone enough room to spread out and get a great night sleep after spending the day snorkeling at Kahalu’u Beach. The condo is well appointed with everything we needed to cook our own meals and has a pool for when we didn’t want to swim with fish, eels, and turtles at the beach. We loved our stay and all of is are eager to return again soon!

Great Location, but HOT

Location is amazing. So close to a great snorkeling beach. House is very spacious and had everything we needed. Floors were a little sticky and it was very hot (no AC in Kona town is a poor choice). The shade in the twin bedroom broke and I tried contacting the property via VRBO, but did not get a response.

Terrible, Expensive Disappointment...ruined our trip!

Our worst stay ever! Location, not far from town is decent,w/water view; unsightly building. 1.MOLD: Opening the front door, were hit with a terrible, reeking mold smell. The 2nd bdrm was worst, which made that space totally unusable. An air purifier had been placed there (& ONLY that rm.) & left 'on', suggesting the owner/mgmt. co. must be aware of the problem. Had to purchase an air mattress which our autistic, allergic daughter had to sleep on in the Living Room. Also bought a portable air cond'r to dry out the space, but after a verbal ok from onsite mngr, received a posted notice from the mgmt. co., disallowing & threatening a costly penalty. We were sent harrassing texts, alleging we were using the unit, when we weren't. 2. FRONT DOOR: the door has no deadbolt; key does not lock the door; only locks when interior lock button is set from inside; discovered this on day 2, when we returned to an OPEN front door. Thank G-d, nothing stolen! 3.UNCLEAN: dingy, visible dirt on interior louver doors, unclean shelves; the dishes had a sticky residue. 4.WATER pressure was TERRIBLE, shower temp was warm, never hot. One tub handle comes off in your hand. 5.LINENS: cheap, yellowed pillows & substandard linens. Packing blankets for bedding. Bed was not comfortable. 6.TVs: had to call mgmt., who sent people over to turn tv on. Printed directions were wrong. Promised Roku did not exist. No streaming, no On-Demand, no Xmas movies. TV in bdrm. didn't turn on. Overall terrible stay!

Great location

I booked for location and I thought the property had AC but it clearly states in the ad that it doesn't. I missed it. It's a bit too hot in August but the unit has lots of fans. A couple of shabby things let the place down but don't interfere with enjoyment (pocket door not functioning properly, bar sink missing, things like that). There was maintenance work on the trees and brush grinding on our last day and that put a damper on things because it went on for hours and hours and it was difficult to escape the noise. I'd have liked to have been told about it before booking but it can't be helped. The company managing is fairly good at communicating. The unit is difficult to find with the sign being down and google directing to the wrong complex. Luckily the managers answer the phone so no problem. Very short walk to the beach and short drive to supermarket. The pool was nearly always empty!

Overall this property was great. Amazing location with a beautiful view. The start up supply package (soaps, paper products, etc) was incredibly generous. Everyone especially the property manager was very friendly and helpful. The couple things that could use improvement and kept me from giving an 5 star rating are the screen doors on the lanai were a constant issue. The wheels on both doors are flat and need replacing. The guest shower wasn’t the cleanest and appears to have some mold. The guest bedroom carpet could use a good shampooing. Other than that we loved the condo and had a fantastic vacation.

Nice unit, but no TV

No complaints with the unit. It was clean and comfortable, but we had no TV. Even following the instructions left for the TV we were not able to view any Spectrum cable TV programs during our stay. We did call and text messages to the property management agent, but the problem was never resolved. We also asked for a Keurig coffee pot since one of us drinks decaf and the other regular coffee. Most VRBO’s provide them. When we called the agent she said she would check into it. She never replied back.

Great location with ample supplies

I am so happy to have stayed here. It is so close to the best snorkeling beach in big island-kahaluu beach: The water is calm, clear. The volunteers are so friendly by offering reef friendly sun screen and defog. We saw turtles and a lot of fish every day! The house is very well stuffed: shampoo, body wash, hair condition. The washer/dryer is a plus for us! A detergent is offered, too. Strongly recommend! The house is clean and safe guarded! Grace

Wonderful for a family of four

Property was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully supplied. Great snorkeling across the street, supermarket a 5 min drive south, and many good restaurants about 15 min north. The shower down by the pool is perfect for rinsing off saltwater and sand. Papaya for breakfast on the lanai overlooking palm trees, blooming hibiscus, and sparkling ocean. In mid-August, it seemed the building wasn't super crowded -- very quiet and often no one else using the pool or visible on the lanais. Easy parking in the designated space below. No complaints. Highly recommend!

Convenient spot for best snorkeling!

We really love the location! Close to downtown Kona for dining and steps to one of our favorite snorkeling spots! Much larger living space than I had anticipated from the photos and the lanai was perfect. Only downside was the bedrooms being on the exterior hallway with not great ventilation.

Great Location!

Very nice rental. Great Sunset view off of the balcony. Safe area just south of Kona. Across from a beach park. Clean and well appointed, very good service from the rental agency. No air conditioning was the only negative. Even in January we missed that!

Good place that is out of the way

A good place to stay if you don't want to be around all the touristy places. A short drive to a grocery store, or pharmacy, close by local places to eat, very quiet place to stay with a phenomenal view out to the ocean and trees.
