As you enter the property, you'll be captivated by the mesmerizing blue hues of the Pacific Ocean. The open floor plan seamlessly connects the living area, dining room, and kitchen. The guest room is conveniently located near the entrance, with a guest bathroom in the hallway. The primary ensuite boasts a stunning ocean view and private access to the large lanai. You can indulge in the comfort of a California King bed and enjoy a large walk-in tiled shower. The expansive lanai offers ample seating and provides the best view in the house, allowing you to savor the beauty of the Kona ocean and its breathtaking sunsets. You can even hear the soothing sounds of the waves from inside the house.

Unbelievable view and location! Right on the ocean. Nothing like listening to the ocean waves crashing at night!!! loved the size, floor plan and amenities. Had all kids of boards, snorkeling etc equipment. Only suggestion would be to update the bedding in the master. would be perfect then!!

Our stay here was amazing. Very well stocked kitchen, exceptionally clean and wonderful view. The master bath has been tastefully upgraded. We loved morning coffee on the lanai to the song of the waves and evenings watching the sun set over the ocean. Close to downtown and beaches. Two hour drive to Volcano. Close to coffee plantations. Because of crashing waves we did not hear traffic on main road. Would recommend a stay here.

Location was great, view off the balcony is great.I think it was the first time we’ve ever had to go purchase our own soap and shampoo has none was provided in the bathrooms. Not a big deal but interesting to know. Exterior of the building is in less than great condition and it looked like nobody cleaned the elevator in years parking the rental car was it very tight I was parking lot was very small, but then Land is expensive in Hawaii. Overall, I’d rate the condo four stars

Relaxed stay on 3rd floor with shaded lanai - and views of spinner dolphins and humpback whales.

Relaxed stay in a well equipped 2 bedroom condo, on large room one smaller. The larger room had an en-suite bathroom with a walkin shower. The smaller bedroom had a tub/shower , great for children but not as easy for those of us in the 70's, a small square bath at was provided but a longer no skid nominally bathtub mat would be better. The condo was stocked with bath towels and beach towels and bath items that nearly lasted a week. The kitchen was well equipped and clean and well organized. A pizza pan would have been helpful. There were helpful guides and naturalists guides for reference.. the lanai had a beach locker with beach chairs and grill items. The washer/dryer was well stocked and easy to use, however it moves on place and is hard to reach the top dryer controls. Be sure to bring a tall family member with you! The 3rd floor was reached by an elevator which was essential to moving in and out and with groceries. The pool is a small dunking or lap pool. The area sandy beaches must be researched and walked or car transport to. The condo oceanfront is beautifully framed with coconut trees, frames subsets and full moons but is lava rocks in both directions. If you wish to walk a long sandy beach, you need to research Big Island beaches. If you like to watch for marine life and great sunsets and are a senior citizen ( not in need of a long sandy beach) this is a stunning, comfortable condo.Last,the parking space is fine for a full car but a tight squeeze for a van/suv.

Exceeded expectations

This condo exceeded our expectations -- it was nicer than conveyed in photos, updated, clean, property management was responsive and had everything we needed for our vacation plus extras. Really enjoyed having the fans and air conditioning and the lanai. Location was also great with some amenities in walking distance and a short drive to the main part of Ali'i Drive. We had a relaxing vacation and would definitely stay here again.

Breathtaking View/Great Location

This wonderful, well-furnished, unit and its expansive patio will captivate you with the sights and sounds of surfers, sunsets, and ocean waves. I loved falling asleep each night to the echo of the pounding surf. The only negatives were the opening and closing instructions. It took a while to figure out the living room TV, fan and lighting scheme. Even the property management staffer had a difficult time sorting it out when she came to assist. All that aside, I would definitely return.

Beautiful place & great balcony!

The condo was really spacious and very clean. New appliances, Kitchen had everything that we needed. Gorgeous balcony with reclining chairs that you could listen to the ocean. We ate every meal on the balcony – the view was amazing!

Breathtaking View

The condo was very convenient to local shops and restaurants. Beautiful view from the lanai. We saw whales every day we were there. Beds were comfortable, peaceful and very quiet, just heard the waves hitting the shore. Very nice we had access to snorkeling equipment, water socks, bogey boards and pool noodles. The pool was very nice and clean. We had a great time. One of the best stays we had!

Relaxing stay in Kona

This condo is even nicer than the pictures show. It is spacious, very well located, and has an amazing ocean view. There was not a time that we went out there that we didn't see whales (this is peak season). It really exceeded expectations and I would highly recommend it.

Our Kona Race week

We were looking for a place that was close to the event but far enough away that it would be quiet. This was perfect. The condo was beautifully furnished. Clean, quiet and had everything that we needed. My only issue was the responsiveness of the property management. They were slow to respond to me, the renter. Another tenant backed into our rental vehicle. We both had Suburbans. Ours to accommodate bike transport while on the island. This made the outside parking lanes which were assigned to us both very tight. I parked right up to the line so as not to block the exit from the parking area to others. When the other renter backed into my vehicle intentionally(he did it twice) I requested permission to park in the visitors spot in the back out of the way. The management still has never responded to me. I also requested to drop bags at the condo 2 hours early day of check in, so that I would have room in the vehicle to pick up and drop some other friends coming in at the same time as the rest of my party. They never acknowledged the request until right before check in. So when you text them as they request, don't expect an immediate or maybe even any response at all

Right on the water

This property is absolute Ocean Front, and the pictures are accurate. Very nice inside and an excellent patio. You can hear the waves even with the windows closed! We had a small issue with the A/C that was taken care of the night we arrived. The outside of the building seems a little tired, but everything inside was new and clean, and the view is incredible. We spent most of our vacation looking at and listening to the ocean, which was my plan. Highly recommend.

Lovely inside, but not the greatest building.

Thanks for letting us stay! We enjoyed the nice interior and lanai. It was much louder at night in the front bedroom and that made it hard to sleep, garbage trucks at 5am, and people accelerating away from the stop sign. The lamp is broken in that room too. Just expecting a little more for the money.

2 great months in Vero Beach

Orchid Island, is a lovely place to spend a vacation. The Atlantic beaches and Riverside Park are walkable, as are are several dozen restaurants and small shops and services. The park has public tennis courts, a performance venue, an art museum, and dog park. The nearby neighborhoods feature gorgeous homes under the live oaks with extensive tropical landscaping. The home is an older 2 bedroom 2 bath house with remodeled bathrooms and kitchen. In addition there is a large screened porch and a sunny den. The kitchen has all the gadgets, and all the appliances are relatively new and work perfectly. The home is not as grand as some of it's neighbors, but is very comfortable for 1or 2 couples. We warn that the yard can be noisy. The $1M+ homes and extensive tropical landscaping draw an army of landscapers, tree trimmers, remodelers, home builders, etc. each week with mowers, blowers, trimmers, chain saws, generators, and so on. This is in addition to the traffic sounds on Highway A1A. Steps were taken to mitigate the issue with wooden fencing and a huge hedge of plants, providing visual screening, but they do not block the noise. It is not constant, but it is frequent enough during weekdays to interrupt lunch or an afternoon on the porch. At night, the noise abates. No problem sleeping. And even during nosier times, inside the house with the AC on, it's not noticeable. We loved our 2 months at this rental, and we look forward to returning to Orchid Island in the future.
