Enjoy the panoramic ocean views from this top-floor, southwest facing unit in the Puako Beach Condominiums! Always cool from fresh Hawaiian breezes, this unit is perfect for sunrise, sunset, and all day long in-between. You can see resident spinner dolphins and, when in season, humpback whales, right from your lanai (patio)!

The small, charming community of Puako is perfectly located for a wide range of activities, including world-class snorkeling and diving, surfing, coastal walks, and relaxing beach time. You’ll have easy access to numerous nearby restaurants and shops, and a wonderful Saturday morning farmers market up the hill in Waimea.

The owners have provided towels, chairs and coolers with ice packs for spending time at the sandy beach across the street, or exploring nearby Paniau or the beautiful beaches at Hapuna State Park. Given their love for the ocean, several books on Hawaii’s wildlife are left out for your enjoyment, and only environmentally sensitive products are used whenever possible, all while keeping health and safety standards high.

The full kitchen is well equipped to prepare tasty meals which you can enjoy on the covered lanai. An electric BBQ is provided for outdoor grilling, and a coffeemaker and blender are available for morning drinks and smoothies. The cook in your family will be grateful that while the kitchen is compactly efficient, it even has a dishwasher! All linens, towels, and a starter supply of paper goods and soaps are provided. The unit has high-speed internet, cable TV and a washer and dryer.

The Blue Wilderness Store and Dive Shop is right next door. They offer a wide variety of groceries and grab-and-go food. You can either rent your own snorkel or dive gear from them, or book a boat trip to a number of remarkable reef locations in the area.

This well-maintained condo complex—great for couples, families or small groups of friends—has gardens bursting with tropical flowers, mangoes and citrus trees. The pool is always meticulous, and there are lounge chairs and a dining area around the pool deck. The young ones can even enjoy the smaller "kiddie" pool. The complex manager keeps the common areas clean and welcoming for visitors and residents alike.

Perfect Christmas/Holiday Getaway

Absolutely lovely condo complex, pleasant and helpful staff, great communication with the rental manager, awesome onsite pool, beach access right across the street, a general store right next door. The condo is 100% stocked with anything you would need. Very comfortable beds. Awesome remodel. Amazing ocean/Puako Bay views. 100% will be back.

Coral Dreams Condo

We had an amazing time. From the manta ray dive to the sunsets, I cannot say enough about Puako, the condo and the great time we had. This condo exceeded out expectations and we cannot wait to return. Mahalo for the lovely time. Oh and before I forget, make sure you go to the General Store next door and get the boat cookies (chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies)!! You will not be disappointed.

Overall great place

Overall a great place. It was a great location, with lots of piblic access to the water across the street. There are no great swimming beaches walking distance but we saw turtles. It has a pool but its quite small and not cleaned when we got there. The condo faces the general store where there are delivery trucks and other goings on at various hours including early morning.

The condo would have been perfect if it were not for the closets which were full of stuff, not letting us empty our luggage and put our own stuff. They also were almost no hangers for trousers or skirts. This has forced us to purchase a little closet at Wallmart in Kona, such losing half a day of our vacations. Other than that everything was just perfect. The equipement (dishwasher, etc.) was absolutely complete, brand new and worked perfectly. Nothing was missing. The location in the island is just ideal. The Wifi was working great. The balcony was great and we had all our breakfasts and a lot of lunches and dinners there enjoying the view on the ocean, the birds and the calm. There is a litte shop just next to the condo where one can buy some food, drinks and a lot of other stuff. Quite convenient. The building is clean and very well maintained, clearly by people who care. It's just a real pity that the closets were full of the owner's stuff. That should not be the case.

Affordable, clean, and nice condo

This condo was exactly what we wanted and expected! Literally the only difference was that the couch and bed sheets weren’t the same as the picture, but that’s just me being picky because everything was still awesome. Hawaii is a warm place, so keeping the screen doors open and the fans on helped keep a nice breeze throughout the place. The area was nice too, because it was a quick drive to the queens and kings shops one way and a quick drive to the white sand beaches the other way. I also liked how we got a guaranteed parking spot. We all enjoyed our stay, especially since the host was extremely good at communicating and the whole condo was stocked with everything we needed! It was affordable and our family enjoyed the condo very much :)

Spacious Oceanview Stay in Puako

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious condo in Puako. It was clean, airy and had plenty of space for all us. Fresh mangos left by the property manager were a delightful breakfast treat. The unit gets superb ocean breeze and we were never hot even in 90F weather. Sunsets from the lanai are magnificent and are to die for. There is a nice non-swimming beach within a 5 min walking distance. This condo is within a 5 min drive to the best beach on the Kona coast (Hapuna) and even less than that to Beach 69 (a hidden gem) and it avoids hustle and bustle of a typical resort. The dining setup is unusual and is limited to a smaller bar seating area in the kitchen and a larger 4-person table on the lanai. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with nice linens and plenty of extras if one needs them. Please keep in mind that this is a primarily residential condo building that has a few VRBO units. This condo building would be best for a family with older kids/teens who can follow all the condo building rules in the pool. The property manager was a pleasure to deal with and addressed any issues promptly. Overall, definitely a great stay at a reasonable price. Mahalo.

Great stay

Overall this is a great place and would stay here again. This is one of the few places on this part of the island that isn't a resort, which was a positive for me. This part of the island usually has sun even when Kailua-Kona doesn't. The condo is in a chilll and quiet little area. The place was clean with a great Lanai for work or leisure. 5 minutes or less by car to Hapuna and Mauna Kea beaches. The TV didn't have a Roku or similar device (that I was aware of anyways), but did have an hdmi cable. No boogie board in the place, but the shop next door had very reasonable rates for rentals. Air flow was great for the kitchen, living room, and front bedroom, not sure about the rest of the place.

No better sunsets!

This unit is the top floor condo, which offers the most amazing views of the ocean! The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked with necessities, there were beach towels, some toys and some chairs. The general store right next to us was a big help for snacks and sandwiches. We all enjoyed our stay here!

Fantastic Place

I very much enjoyed my stay. It was across the street to ocean access. The view and the sound of the waves with the windows open were amazing. I traveled with my brother and father and the rooms were big enough to give us space while staying together. Mary and Phoebe were also readily available with for any questions and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this place to other and come back myself.

Amazing Hawaiian Condo

This condo was located in a great spot not too far from the Kona Airport and very close to the beach (right across the street). Condo is kept very tidy and neat and had all the amenities that we need plus more! I cannot emphasize how important communication with the property manager is and 2Papayas killed it! I cannot recommend this condo enough! Looking forward to staying here in the future!

Just what we needed.

This made for a great home base from which to enjoy the area. This is a condo rather than a beach house and the space would be a little cramped for a group of five or six if you were just hanging out at the place; but, we were on the go most of the trip. Sara (who lives in the unit just below this one) is the caretaker and keeps the pool, grounds and common areas very clean. The unit was well-appointed and we had all the basics we needed, including beach towels and the like (there is an access to the beach nearby). We could see whales spouting from the top-floor lanai!
