This adorable lakefront tree house is the perfect romantic getaway and only 1 hour east of Dallas. The tiny Hummingbird Tree House is on an elevated deck overlooking a pristine pond in the middle of a forest. A short walk from the parking area but it feels very secluded. There is a queen bed and two small children can sleep in the loft. This adorable cottage is handcrafted and has screened operable windows, a leaded glass hummingbird window and an operable pothole window. The deck has tables, chairs and a thatch covered umbrella. There are lights, electricity and a fan but no heat or air. Off road wagons are provided to help quests with their gear.
The rustic outhouse is 20â from the tree house. It is handcrafted with reclaimed cedar fence pickets and rusted corrugated metal and a touch of class hummingbird window. Clean and civilized, it has lights, a modern, composting toilet, sink with water, soap and towels. There is a nearby outdoor cold water shower and a sink and counter for cleaning dishes.
There is access to a nearby fire pit with a grill and cordwood is available for purchase. Guests can fish the two stocked ponds, swim, paddle kayaks and paddle boards, hike the trails or explore the Texas Zoofari Park next door. See over 1200 exotic animals on this 950 acre park. Many can be seen from the road or you can pay to drive through and feed the animals from your car.
