This well-equipped Sparrow Pond cottage has the look and feel of a true beach cottage. A short walk through the pines has you on the beach in no time. “Beau Soleil,” as it is called, is a guest favorite, with an enlarged kitchen filled with all the pots and pans you need, and a laundry room with an oversized washer and dryer. It has a smart flat screen TV in the large Carolina room with all the streaming apps installed, super-fast, Xfinity WiFi, two comfortable couches for napping after a long day in the sun, bookshelves full of great beach reads, and USB ports and night lights scattered throughout. Beau Soleil is tucked in at the end of a cul-de-sac where you can pedal your bikes on Kiawah’s wonderful bike paths, walk your bag up to Cougar Point Golf Course, or put out the beach chairs and play in the surf. 

Renters particularly rave about the well-equipped kitchen, the painted pottery plates, the Keurig coffee maker, and the new, large capacity washer and dryer. There are two large skylights for extra sunlight, plus the beautiful Carolina room, which gives this cottage a breezy, open feel. New reupholstering, new bathroom fixtures and mirrors, new kitchen ovens and microwave, a new water heater, new linens, hand-selected art, and carefully curated beach books round it out.

The primary bedroom offers a new king bed, ensuite bath, and smart, flat panel television. Bedroom 2 is furnished with a queen bed and bedroom 3 includes a bunk bed with a twin bed up top and full on the bottom to create a flexible sleeping space for either 2 or 3.

A large, wraparound outdoor deck starts with a pair of new Maine rockers to enjoy, new chaise loungers, and there’s plenty of room to barbecue and eat on the back deck. Best of all – and certainly fun – this original Kiawah beach cottage still has its outdoor shower on the upper deck. That means you can look up at the trees and sky as you shower or clean off the sand after a day at the beach (which, by the way, is just a short walk down the quiet, twisting road that takes you through the beautiful oak and pine trees of Sparrow Pond).

The Sparrow Pond Cottages are island vacation rentals set in a serene setting in the West Beach Village next to the Cougar Point golf course. They are an easy walk to Kiawah Island’s 10 miles of beautiful beaches. They are on the island’s bike path, and they have access to hours of family fun in the private community pool. Discover the best of Kiawah Island from this central location. West Beach Village is located nearest to Kiawah Island’s main gate and is situated around the Cougar Point Golf Course and Clubhouse. West Beach is Kiawah’s oldest neighborhood with meandering boardwalks, mature maritime forests and a charming, Lowcountry island vibe.

Parking: There is parking for up to 3 cars.

Check-in instructions will be sent via email at least 10 days prior to check-in once the Rental Agreement is signed. If your stay is within 9 days, or lesser, from the time of booking, the instructions will be sent via email as soon as the Rental Agreement is signed.
