Kihei for 4 Days

I want to start by being completely objective. The property manager Sue was very attentive and responsive to issues. With that said, upon arrival there were many things we observed and had to deal with in our short time. First the post states this is a "fully remodeled" unit. While the kitchen and bath have been redone, the remainder of the unit is not fully remodeled and quite aged. We initially had 2 doors be broken, a bathroom cabinet and sliding screen door that had to be repaired while we were there. Along with that, of the 2 TVs available, 1 TV had clearly been dropped with large dead areas, and the other had broken speakers meaning we watched TV on our laptop the entire time. I do not get to take vacations often and the fact that we kept getting pulled out of our vacation to deal with these things were greatly disappointing. If I were honest, I would not stay here again.

Great spot to be able to wander to Kam 3, just across the street. Good body surfing and boogie boarding or just playing in the waves. Has a beach to sun on too. Pool was nice. Place was clean, it’s on the first floor.

Beautiful property

The property and location is perfect. I wanted to take away a star but the new until we had to move to due to these issues was wonderful. To start, this unit is right across from the beach and next to the pool, walking distance to stores, gift shops, convenient stores and restaurants. It was convenient because we were bottom floor so we were able to walk right off the back porch area to go places. The down side is it is right by the property manager office and elevators so people were always waking by. The issue we had, we needed up having a water leak 2 days into our stay. The first morning we woke up to water down the hallway, using towels to mop it up and calling the property manager, then the listing agent to get it looked at. They thought it was another unit causing issues and thought it to be fixed. At this point we are constantly washing towels to keep up with the water. The next day we came back from being gone and there was water down the hallway, so we called again and they sent a plumber that said it was actually our unit with the leak. We were told they would try and find us another unit that was like ours, by late that day they had found us a unit and we moved. We were offered an extra late check out for our dealings with the water.

Location

This property has drive up access for unloading of luggage and groceries. Adequate supplies to get you started on your holiday. It is across the street from Kamaole 111 and adjacent to the property pool. We would definitely stay here again. It is by the entrance to lobby and elevators, but the property is fairly quiet, and the people are all friendly.

Family mid winter break

Our first trip to Maui and could not believe how nice it was. The code we rented was close to everything, simple checkin, fully stocked with fridge essentials , paper towels and even kurig coffee pods. Boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, towels 
 could not have asked for more!! Loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer!!

Perfect for our group would definitely return.

This property was amazing. Not gonna lie, the pictures were nice but when we got there it was better than anticipated. Very comfy, cozy and just felt like home. It was tucked in the corner of the building complex and we thought it was perfect. We loved that the sun didn’t shine so bright into our condo because that meant less heat coming inside. Lol There were things there for you when you arrived that we would have never thought of but needed (paper, pens, grocery bags, beach chairs
 etc) The location was perfect. Just a short crossing of the street to get the the beach. Accommodations were excellent! Sleeping arrangements were spot on for what we needed. The little touches in the house were fantastic. Abundance of towels and sheets were provided. Beds were comfy. The only negatives were no A/C but that was expected and they provided a lot of fans to accommodate. And when you open the door and screen door to let the air it, it’s flows nicely through the House. And no bathroom vent fans. Which made it a little warm when getting ready. But, even with that, it still doesn’t knock any starts down for us. We would definitely recommend and return back to this home. Also, great customer service, when contacting host. Thank you again!

Great access to the beach, but needs some updating.

My family and I spent two weeks in this condo to visit family in the area, and had a great time while we were there. The unit definitely has some positives and negatives, which I will try to list below. Positives: * Directly across the street from the beach * Updated kitchen and baths * Nice pool and grill area Negatives: * Condition of the unit and furnishings not as nice as they appear in the pictures. * Towels were soiled, and in need of replacement * Bed linens were old, and did not match the size of the beds * Closets and kitchen cabinets were so full of extraneous items that it was hard to fit our clothes and groceries. * The unit can be noisy, it is located near the main entry, and there is frequent traffic from people loading and unloading their cars and from tradespeople who are working on the property. * The cleanliness of the unit was just mediocre. All in all we enjoyed our trip in Maui, and the convenient access to the beach, but ultimately we were disappointed that this unit did not live up to its promise.

Nice condo but NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY

The property is really nice. Very comfortable. I really liked the condo, BUT Not any privacy as this property its right by the door that leads into the building with the elevator. So everyone who walks into the building looks right at us. The property is not family friendly. The onsite manager was very unwelcoming. We felt very uncomfortable. He scolded us in the pool twice. Once in the dark. Like he was watching us. Another time he came in and told the girls they need their hair put up. We received a notice on our door that the lanai was not tidy enough. The pool had no furniture to sit on while there. You have to sign up to use the pool. Can only use it one hour a day. Had to sit on the concrete to watch the kids. The kids were throwing a tiny hackysack sized floating ball and the property manager told the kids that they are not allowed to throw anything on the property. We watched the onsite manager scold several people in the pool. I spoke to one other family who was having the same problems happen to them. This is the second time staying at this condo complex. It will be my last. If you have kids. Do not stay here. The pool has so many rules you are basically able to get in the water and that's it. No floaties, no Marco Polo, no goggles, no pool toys at all. Basically NO FUN. I did contact the property manager who we booked with and they were nice but all they could do is tell me they would talk to condo association. I have never felt so unwelcome at a place I've stayed at ever. The onsite had no problem scolding us, but the pot smokers got to smoke away and pollute our air every day. I would have though that was a bigger infraction then the girls not having their hair in a pony tail.

DO NOT RENT THIS CONDO!!!

We arrived late at night to this condo. When we arrived I tried to turn the ac unit on. It did not work properly. The next morning I saw a lock box close to the floor with a phone number to activate the ac for an additional $15 a day. So I called the Maui condo and home to get it activated. Instead they delivered a fan and locked up the ac unit so we could not use it per the owners request. It was very hot and muggy and we told the condo complex the extra $15 a day was not a problem we just needed ac. Our daughter who was with us was 6 months pregnant. We were miserably hot in this condo. We were told NO we could not use the ac and it was not available now😳 we asked for additional fans and they also told us NO. We could not even open the windows in bedrooms or patio to air out the condo because the neighbors smoked cigarettes and weed on their balcony and it would come into the condo!😡 we have never had a problem renting from vrbo in the past and have been highly satisfied, this was not the case I even told the owner Why would not want people to enjoy their stay? When people enjoy their time and the condo they will leave good reviews and you can rent your properties out more often. He obviously does not care about his guests! We ended up leaving 2 days early and went somewhere else, we asked for a refund on the days we did not stay and we were told no refunds, which I figured would be their response! This is sad since we had saved our money to come to Hawaii and this condo was a big let down! Please save yourself the headache and rent a different condo, DO NOT RENT any condo in Maui that is run by Maui condo and home they don’t care if their guests are satisfied!!! This condo was listed as all the comfortable amenities! This is was not the case!!!!!

Great Maui Spot

This condo was perfect! The lanai (patio area) is located right in front. We had a bigger group with more then one condo so this made it easier for us to meet up at one place. The condo has beach supplies and towels. The beach is right across the street. Great location for food and drinks!

updated, but major compromises

We have stayed in about 16 different condo buildings in Kihei - some nicer and some not as nice as this one (but none more expensive). For the price range we paid for this unit, I was not expecting that there would be major compromises. Noise and privacy were problems. The lanai is right up against a parking 'drop off' area used by arriving and departing guests, tile installers, UPS, mail, TV delivery, etc. It is also the walking entrance to the building- it is a busy spot. We had to eat on the lanai (no table inside) and it was noisy and not private. We had a pair of shoes stolen from the lanai one night. I would not pick this unit again.
