The house is 1/2 mile to the public beach accesses and a short walk to the multiuse path over looking the beautiful sound great for watching the sunsets. This house is centrally located to the beaches, the sound, shopping, putt putt golfing and grocery stores. This house is a gem and in a great quite neighborhood.

OBX- Summer Trip 2025

My sister, my youngest daughter and I went to OBX to see wild horses, lighthouses and more. The SeaSwept Cottage was a perfect size and location for us. You can tell the host takes pride in the house. It was very warm and inviting in all the details. The only two complaints if you want to call it that was it said it had a hair dryer but there was not one. We usually bring our own but didn’t this time. Also we only had one roll of toilet paper so we had to make sure that we picked some up on our store run.

Beautiful Home

The house itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, and felt like a true getaway. The living room was especially cozy—perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location couldn't have been better: right in the center of everything and very easy to find, which made getting around a breeze.That said, we did run into a pretty frustrating issue with the check-in process. Unlike most listings where access codes are sent ahead of time through the platform, this host sends the code via text. Unfortunately, we never received ours and ended up sitting outside in the heat with our 5-month-old baby after a long drive. We weren’t able to get in until about 8pm, which was definitely stressful and not the best start to our stay.Additionally, the picnic area looked nice at first glance, but it had quite a few flies, which made it hard to enjoy outdoor meals.Overall, the home was lovely and well-located, but the check-in process really needs improvement to match the quality of the stay.

Our Anniversary Trip

This property is all as described. We didn’t cook there. That was our choice. We just had basic breakfast and snacks in evenings. Neighbors are quiet and nice. House rules are posted on fridge. The uniqueness is this owner’s home and gets used for their getaways too. It has all conveniences of home! Dont look for a dishwasher. That’s not my personal choice mine has been washer/dryer which work awesome! Now if short like Me ya can’t sit on her barstools they are too tall, feet & legs dangling and uncomfortable, she has a very high countertop and 6 them.My Husband who’s tall almost 6feet, says they’re not comfortable. Now I had to sit at couch/coffee table for my breakfast.it’s really a fantastic place to stay! We’re old school and we just had issues with the TV looking for our usual programming on the TV. We didn’t get to enjoy downstairs she has a picnic table and chairs. There were storms and we were soaked (there were flood warnings), from our activities the first few days of our vacation there. Location Location Location! Centrally located to lots of various activities! You can do excursions north to Corolla to South to Oricoke! We did that. The owner at first I had issues with lack communication before checking in process however after instructions she was wonderful encouraging if I had questions to txt her thruout or vacation and she’d check in on us! Which was very kind. All in All the Owner her Property this trip was such a memorable experience!

Enjoyed our stay during our family vacation

Here are some of the highlights/feedbacks- Cleanliness: The property, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom were all super clean. Location: The proximity to major attractions is a great plus. Neighborhood: Peaceful, clean, and quiet. Issues: One of the bed sheets in guest bedroom was not clean. It had stains on the sheets and blankets. The microwave oven was out of commission. It was 4th of July weekend, and kids wanted to grill some hot dogs. But unfortunately the BBQ grill was not functional. I do not think it was ever used.

What a wonderful place to rekax abd recharge your soul! Cottage was adorable. Quote from my husband "this is a perfect little beach house". Location is a great jumping off point for exploring all the way from Corolla to Hatteras (which we absolutely did!) Thoroughly enjoyed our trip!

Cozy cottage

This home was very comfortable and the owner had many nice touches. We didn’t have to buy anything but our food. It was a short walk to the sound through a nice neighborhood. The FoodLion was close as was Belk department store. Glad we found this gem!

Nice beach home

Logistically in the middle of OBX in a quiet neighborhood. There is a 24 hrs supermarket, plenty of restaurants nearby. And beach beach beach so close. It is a very clean cute beach house. Master bedroom has comfortable bed and our kids slept well in the second room. And yes, plenty of sunshine thru out both bedroom. My fam enjoyed our stay, highly recommended. Thank you Charlene
