Our Ohana (family) beach house is located within building 4 (second closest building to the ocean) of the Poipu Sands development which sits adjacent to the gorgeous Grand Hyatt property and is the closest development within Poipu Kai to Shipwreck beach, which is a gorgeous 4-5 minutes walk away.

Our top, third, floor unit provides, both, a rare front balcony with incredible mountain views; and a large rear lanai, providing one of the most breathtaking ocean views you'll find in Poipu. Being on the top floor you'll be comforted by the cool trade wind breeze, but for those who prefer air conditioning the condo offers air conditioning in both bedrooms.

We completed over $50K in updates to provide our guests with a very homey Hawaiian style luxury feel.The unit will now easily sleep six with both bedrooms offering California king sized beds and the brand new high end pull out couch in the living room (a self-inflating air mattress is also available).

The large master suite offers island style furniture and bedding, a large bathroom with his and her sinks, and a remodeled large walk-in shower. Additionally, large sliding doors offer access to the oversized Lanai. On our visits we love to leave the slider doors open as the sound of the ocean waves put us right to sleep. 

The second bedroom offers more of the same, with a comfy California king bed, a built in desk area which is perfect if planning to do some work on your trip, recently remodeled large walk-in shower, and air conditioning for the warmer nights.

Transitioning to the exterior, the community heated pool is perfect for those days when the surf is a little rough. For exercise there are no shortages of walking or jogging paths in the area, or if tennis is your sport feel free to bring your racket along as the community has well maintained tennis courts. There are several local shops that rent out bicycles and electric bikes as well.

If you enjoy grilling as much as we do, you'll love that the community grilling area is directly in front of the balcony and offers an ocean view! There is also a very large grassy area for the kiddos to play in while grilling up your specialty or some local Hawaiian fare!

Follow the path along the Poipu Kai Greenbelt for a less than five-minute walk to Shipwreck’s Beach, explore the scenic Maha'ulepu Coastal Trail while watching for sea turtles,Hawaiian Monk Seals, or whales, or check out award-winning Poipu Beach, just a 15 minute stroll from the condo. Situated on seven acres of tropical landscaping next to the Grand Hyatt Kauai, Poipu Sands also puts you right next door to restaurants, shops, live entertainment, and world-famous Poipu Bay Golf Course.

While we have purchased these items (and often replenish), we cannot guarantee they have not been misplaced by previous guests. Feel free to use anything in the closet, if anything is lost during your stay, please advise so we can work with you to get these items replaced for future guests to enjoy.
