Welcome to Ocean Dunes 2005 Wait N Sea! Let the breezes on the oceanfront sun deck whisk you away to happiness. This family-friendly vacation rental is perfect for a relaxing beach getaway! You'll have plenty of space for the kids to curl up with a great movie on the flat-screen TV with the big comfy sofa bed. Two Guest rooms allow for extended family, and Mom and Dad have their private retreat with their own access to the deck and a remodeled Ensuite bathroom. You'll have all the standard amenities, including a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and complimentary Wi-Fi to keep you feeling at home.Â
Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, tennis courts, shuffleboard, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room, and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination! Note: there are no facilities at Ocean Dunes for charging golf carts. Ocean Dunes covered parking is not suitable for large SUVs, please seek a first come first serve visitor parking spot for large vehicles. Always use your parking pass!

The Rec Center pool is open year-round with the exception of holidays or for any routine or emergency maintenance scheduled at the Rec Center. Â Â

Primary Bedroom Suite: Oceanfront, TV, king bed, ceiling fan, private access to the sun deck. Ensuite Bathroom: vanity, new walk-in shower with bench.
Guest Bedroom 1: Queen bed, TV.
Full Bathroom: vanity, shower/tub combo.
Guest Bedroom 2: Two twin beds, TV.
Kitchen: full kitchen, seating for 4 at the bar.
Dining Room: seating for 6 at the table.
Living Room: Oceanfront, wall-mounted TV, Queen sofa sleeper, Loveseat, plenty of side seating.
Deck: access from the living room and master bedroom. Overlooks the ocean. Generous seating and outdoor dining.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.
Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.
Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.Â
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Pool Notice:
Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.
Pet Policy:
No pets allowed.Â

Cancellation Policy:
We want to make sure youâre aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, liveâoakâlined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the islandâs two stateâmanaged coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Both offer beautiful opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, and spotting pelicans or even nesting loggerhead sea turtles.

Getting Around:
Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike â they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.
