Neu renovierte, rustikale Hütte!

Dieses neu renovierte 3-Bett-Bad mit 2 Bädern verfügt über 2 große Veranden mit Blick auf den See sowie einen offenen Grundriss, der den Aufenthalt Ihrer Familien angenehm macht.

Im Erdgeschoss finden Sie die neu renovierte, voll ausgestattete Küche mit allen neuen Geräten aus Edelstahl, ein Hauptschlafzimmer mit neuen Möbeln und einem Queensize-Bett, ein neu renoviertes Hauptbad mit einer übergroßen Badewanne / Dusche-Kombination und das tolle Zimmer. Das großartige Zimmer bietet ein Upgrade der Dish-Unterhaltung auf einem 55-Zoll-Flachbild-TV, eine Blue-Tooth-Soundbar sowie ein Schnittsofa und einen Liebessitz. Weitere Küchengeräte sind eine Keurig-Kaffeemaschine, ein Mixer, ein Toaster mit vier Steckplätzen und ein Topftopf!

Unten ist auch unser bereits erwähntes Partydeck! Das Deck ist perfekt für jede Versammlung und umfasst zwei Picknicktische, neue Adirondack-Stühle, Tiki-Fackeln und einen Gasgrill! Der Grill, der 2017 ausgetauscht wurde, eignet sich hervorragend für jeden begeisterten Griller, und das Propangas liegt bei uns! Wir stellen allen unseren Gästen Propangas zur Verfügung. Sie finden auch die Waschmaschine / Trockner-Kombination am Ende des Decks in einem eigenen Schrank neben den Abfallbehältern.

Im Obergeschoss haben wir zwei Schlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer. Alle Betten im Obergeschoss sind in voller Größe. Das Loft-Schlafzimmer mit Blick auf das große Zimmer bietet Platz für 2 Personen, während das hintere Schlafzimmer 4 Personen bietet. Beide Schlafzimmer sind mit der Veranda im Obergeschoss verbunden und bieten Platz für 4 Personen. Zusätzliche Schlafplätze befinden sich unter den Doppelbetten. Für Ihren Komfort wurde in unserem Doppelzimmer im Obergeschoss eine Klimaanlage zur Fenstermontage eingebaut.

Alle Betten in unserer Kabine wurden kürzlich mit neuen hypoallergenen Laken aus 100% Baumwolle, neuen Bettdecken und Daunenkissen im Hotelstil ausgestattet! Die beiden Betten in unserem Doppelzimmer sind brandneue Memory Foam-Matratzen!

Genug mit all den technischen Details des Inneren, ich meine, komm schon ... Sie sind doch am See, lassen Sie uns darüber reden! Sie sind nur noch Sekunden von unserem neuen Vollmetalldock entfernt. Das Dock wurde im Juli 2018 gebaut und wir haben seitdem seitliche Stoßstangen hinzugefügt, damit Ihr Boot sicher ist! Wir empfehlen jedoch vorsichtshalber, eigene Stoßstangen hinzuzufügen.

Unsere Kabine ist zentral gelegen, so dass Sie ganz einfach dorthin gelangen, wo Sie auf dem Wasser unterwegs sind! Sequoyah Marina ist einer der größten Yachthäfen am See, und Sie sind nur eine 10-minütige (Schnell-) Bootsfahrt entfernt! Sequoyah Marina ist ein Full-Service-Yachthafen, der WaveRunners und Pontoon-Bootsverleih anbietet. Sie beginnen alle ihre Wochenenden am Freitagabend mit ihrer berühmten "Wing Night", die die besten Flügel und die kälteste Corona am Norris Lake serviert!

Whitman Hollow liegt nur eine 10-minütige Bootsfahrt entfernt. Whitman ist ein kleineres Dock, aber lassen Sie sich davon nicht täuschen. Froggies ist Whitmans Bar, die auf großartige Musik, leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal und ihr Hochhaus-Speisedeck stolz ist.

Für alle Ihre Landreiseansprüche sind wir wirklich in dem glücklichen Medium, dass gerade nah genug ist, falls Sie etwas benötigen und weit genug entfernt sind, um nicht von der Hektik des Alltags gestört zu werden. Sie sind in ca. 20-25 Minuten in der Stadt und dort finden Sie eine Reihe von Lebensmitteln, Lebensmittelgeschäften, Tankstellen usw.

Norris Lake

Front steps are difficult for elderly and handicapped. No guardrail and high. Inside of cabin is beautiful. Propane grill was nasty, glad we brought grill matts. Ran out of propane after one use. Oven inside dirty and bottom drawer extremely hard to open and close. Toilet in bathroom is very low to floor and hard for elderly to use. Stairs of back deck need alot of repair and no gate as pictured. Definitely not a good cabin for elderly or handicapped.

The cottage was very charming. The location was great and the weather was even better. The deck and steps need a little attention. The one thing I wish for would be to thin the trees out so you could see more of the lake and especially between the cottage and the dock as you can’t see the dock from the cottage.

Family Getaway

Great family cabin. Love seeing the family photos on the walls that were taken on the lake Cabin is clean, linens were provided with extra blankets and such. Bring beach towels as they do not have any at the house. AC works great as we were there on a week of 90* all week. Any kitchen item you need was in the cabinet. Extremely nice to have a washer and dryer right by the main level. A few notes for future renters: the stairs to the 2nd floor are very narrow (I’d recommend kids upstairs), the property is on a pointe so boats do cruise around the corner fast creating wake (our boat was fine but bring extra fenders to use), we brought a folding wagon to use to haul items up and down the hill to the boat dock (the walk up the hill is not bad, much preferred over 100+ steps).

Lake vacation 2023

The house was exactly as described. Our only issue was with meal times.There is no light over the dining table and only 4 chairs. We utilized the stools, but they are really too high for the table. There was plenty of room to park the car and truck and trailer. The access to the lake and dock was manageable. We had a great time!

Very difficult identification of property (I suggest adding property number to home- less than $20). Code given by VRBO was inaccurate. Causing several issues which were resolved by property owner. Good for a group on the lake

We had a nice time at Norris Lake. The property is set up for a young family. Beware of the outside stairs and the steep hill to the lake. Ground is uneven on path going down and a twisted ankle is likely if you are not constantly aware. The kitchen has everything you need. A little on the expensive side but overall nice. (Cleaning crew should have cleaned air vent and swept deck.) But the view was great.

Beautiful lake house

We rented this house and I was very happy with it. My only issues are the steps could use some TLC, and the walk to the dock is much steeper than it seems in the pictures. The house was clean and enjoyable. The lake was pristine and we had a great time. We had one heck of a storm one night and lost power, it was up and running in no time, quicker than at my own house.

Rustic pleasure

We enjoyed our stay at the A-frame on the lake. We arrived with surprise goodies waiting, which was so sweet. The dock was large but in two sections with plastic flooring and tape covering the gap and was difficult to get onto. A guy came by and said someone would pull it out further into the lake but never did. The decks were large with ample picnic tables and a good grill. One of the three plastic chairs was broken. The rock and concrete stairs are broken as well as dangerous. It was cute inside but rustic. Thank you for the use of your vacation home.

Great place to make lifelong memories

We had six adults and four kids (8-11 years old) at the Norris Jewell and enjoyed the stay tremendously. The house was just the right size for us. Of course a little more space would have been nice, but this house was very cute and cozy for us. We really enjoyed the access to the lake, dock and very peaceful mornings. As other reviewers have mentioned, it’s a pretty long drive to any stores, gas stations and restaurants (about 20 minutes) so make sure you have what you need when you get to the house. Also, if you fill the refrigerator the first day don’t be shocked if the temp goes up and takes a while to cool back down. It will, just be patient. Overall, we loved the place. The kids asked if we could come back next year. 😊

Cute cabin with a cute story

We stayed at the Jewel and enjoyed our time there. Getting to and from the cabin can be a challenge so you'll want to bring as many supplies as possible with you to avoid trips back and forth. It was early in the season but we were able to rent a boat and enjoy the lake and surrounding area. The owners were excellent with communication and accommodations. We had an issue with the dock and there was someone there to fix it same day. Thank you!

Great stay on Norris Lake

This place is an excellent place to stay. The home is a cute, very accommodating A-frame. It has been recently updated and was sparkling clean. The kitchen was excellent and well stocked. The bathroom was very clean. The beds were cozy for a good night's sleep. The location was excellent. Beautiful views of the lake with a lovely grass lawn. We loved the chairs on the deck to just take in the view. We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing week by the lake. We even met a friendly fox who came to say goodbye as we were leaving. We would definitely return and highly recommend this property.

Big Creek Cabin

Cabin is comfortable and cozy with a well-appointed kitchen. Nice decks with views of the lake. Enjoyed the fire pit close to the lake. Dock was adequate for the pontoon boat we rented from Whitman Hollow Marina but a bit of a docking challenge due to boat traffic (cabin is on the main channel) and crosswinds. Grade from the lake to the cabin was fairly easy to manage for someone of average fitness. There was a local power outage on our second day there, contacted the property manager and the power company had power back on within a few hours. Check-out instructions easy to comply with. Thanks for the thoughtful welcome bottle of wine and the Goldfish crackers which we enjoyed! This was a relaxing week for us and our dog.

Wonderful relaxing week

House review The cabin had everything we needed for a fun yet peaceful week on the lake. Internet worked great as well as satellite TV. Loved the iron skillets. Even with temps in the mid-80’s, the back deck stays cool with shade and a constant breeze. There’s also a sunny area for tanning. We rented a pontoon boat from a local Marina for a day and had no trouble tying up at the dock for an hour or two. There is a ladder for getting back on the dock after a nice swim. The water was wonderful!! Yes, coming up the hill from the fire pit and/or dock is exhausting. Firewood was provided as well as kindling. Comfy beds and awesome decks as described. Spent most time on the decks and dock or on the grass under the shade tree near the dock.

Relaxing vacation with amazing lake access

This cabin has an old charm feel, and we felt very much at home. We stayed with our family and friends. We had a total of 5 adults, 3 children, and an infant. It fit us all comfortably, anymore people than that it would not have accommodated well. The adult and child sleeping in the loft did not have much privacy and it was somewhat difficult in the morning to not wake them. But the outside deck accommodated us quite well until they were ready to wake up. The lake is breathtaking. The dock was so much fun for the kids to jump off and swim. Downsides include the dock not having a ladder, the massive hill from the lake to the house, and the fire pit is kind of at an awkward spot. But overall the home was very clean and we loved having a private dock. I would highly recommend this property! We will definitely be staying again!

Great smaller rental

This was a great rental. Just as described, clean, with a great location. The only downsides were no ladder on the dock so it was very hard to swim off of and the upstairs bathroom is small with a shower only. This made it a little tight for two families and i wouldn’t recommend thIs for groups larger than 8. We only had a boat 3 days of our trip so I was disappointed that the kids really couldn’t swim off the dock because it was way too hard to get out without a ladder. The walk down to the dock is exhausting but I’m sure it’s that way with most houses on Norris! The kitchen was very nice and we loved hanging out on the deck and down by the fire pit. The WiFi worked well at the house and on the deck. Highly recommend!
