Perfect for two senior citizens. The beds were comfortable. On street parking was not difficult. A family of four with young children would be comfortable here. Finding where the access code was hidden in our email was a challenge for us.

Great weekends stay!

I stayed here for a long weekend with my dad and brother, and we had a great time. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, in a beautiful neighborhood with scenic walks, and close to plenty of great restaurants and shops.The space is a bit cozy but was comfortable for the three of us, especially since we didn’t plan to spend much time indoors. A little expensive for what you get but we also booked last minute, over Easter weekend. The owner was incredibly responsive and friendly throughout our stay. Overall, a 10/10 trip!

La Jolla Stay

The house was in an excellent location just two blocks from the ocean and 7 minutes or so from town. The house was very clean. Beds were comfortable and the shower was great with plenty of hot water. The living room furniture was not the most comfortable and the layout wasn't the best for 4 people. We had two issue while staying. The router was not working. One call and someone was sent out immediately and fixed the problem.The second problem was an ant infestation in the kitchen. We found out in the morning when pastries from a wonderful French Bakery were overrun with ants. Quite disappointing. We called and management responded immediately and brought ant spray. We sprayed the kitchen but they kept coming back. Every morning the garbage was overrun by ants. We couldn't leave any food on the counter. Was annoying but we rolled with it.The house is cute and just an excellent location. I would assume the ant issue is an outlier.

Cute place in a great location. Beach is beautiful and a very short walk. I do not recommend renting for a party of 5. Sofa sleeper is in the main living room. The photos are a little deceiving.

La Jolla Beach Stay

Neighborhood and beach access is awesome! When we arrived the house was not cleaned to the standards we have come to expect. There appeared to be bloody finger prints on 3 different walls/doors. We notified the listing agent but it did not raise any alarms so my wife cleaned the walls herself. Also, the booking process was very tedious which may cause me to look elsewhere before renting from this listing agent again.

Good place for a small family

It was easy to find. Depending on time of day and only having one main way in and out of La Jolla traffic can be an issue. It is near the corner on a somewhat busy street by a bar and quick food spots so on weekends you do hear some chatter later into the night. That being said I still felt safe on the property and it was convenient to be within walking distance from a 7/11 and small grocery store. Street Parking was always available within a few car lengths of the property. We left food out for 10 minutes and ants quickly made their way to it. With a quick call a maintenance guy came with some ant traps along with securing all open food we had no issues after that. Overall it was pretty clean. Close enough to the beach to enjoy an evening/sunset walk. Beach days are extremely crowded on weekends. Weekdays were great. I read comments about the housing construction so it wasn’t a concern. Didn’t impact our visit. Overall a good experience for our family with 2 young kids.

Nice Little Bungalow, Great Location

This bungalow has 2br/1bt. The beach is a short 1 block walk, whilst restaurants and grocery is less than a block away. Although we did not use, there is an outside fireplace within the privacy fenced front yard. Cable TV and WiFi are excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Little House

Cute little house in LaJolla area. It was easy to walk to many places including the beach at the end of the street. Cute little market around the corner and a great pizza place that is take and bake near by too! Having a front yard area was nice as well. I know there were complaints about the noise, there is construction M-Saturday and it was early, like 6am, however, if you use the fans they have in the laundry room to muffle some noise in your room at night, it works great! It is not a reason to not book! I would stay here again! Great house with all the things you need to be away from home! Thank you

Lovely home, great location!

This is a lovely home, decorated beautifully, very chic. It is a five-minute walk to the beautiful beach. (If planning to go to the beach, go before noon, even by 11, it gets packed.) The listing does state it sleeps five; it can sleep five (with a sofa bed); the dining table sits four; and the couch sits three (four grown bodies tightly). The home is perfectly located for shops, and a short drive to UCSD. Across the street is construction and this construction will last at least two years; but the management company did supply a box of ear plugs. Honestly, this is a well built home, we were not really bothered by noise. Parking is on the street, but we did not have trouble finding parking daily. We double parked to unload/load, but it is a pretty quiet street considering it dead-ends at the beach. There is a taco place two door down, pretty good, especially if arriving late because it stays open late. There is a bar/billiards place across the main road, "The Shack." Don't go. The food is horrible and the service and treatment of patrons is even worse. Overall a great destination/home. We would stay here again.

Great style near the beach

We loved the style and location of this bungalow a couple blocks from a fantastic beach. We enjoyed walking down to watch the sun set every evening, then heading back for dinner outside by the fire pit. This bungalow just fit the 3 people in my family, but it had everything we needed for our stay. It does not have air conditioning, so it was quite warm, even with fans and windows open. This property also shares the lot with 2 other residences/units behind it, so there was more noise than we expected - kids, dogs, construction on neighboring homes waking us up at 7am. This could change based on the time of year that you visit, but it was part of our experience. There were good restaurants and a corner market all within walking distance, and it made picnics on the beach easy!

Perfect property**

We loved our stay in La Jolla. The only caveat is that is major construction happening directly across from the home. They woke us up each day, except Sunday, at 6:45. We would have appreciated a heads up. Also - we didn’t mind not having AC but the covers were too heavy. It would have been helpful to have a cotton blanket in each bedroom. Besides that we loved the property. Parking was easy on street. Many stores are walkable and the beach is at the end of street. Overall lovely.
