Glen Lake Sunset Escape

Escape to the shores of Glen Lake, NY for all the beauty and tranquility it has to offer. This property features a private dock, kayaks, paddle board and a canoe for all your boating, fishing and swimming pleasure. It doesn’t stop there, enjoy the property all year long. X-country skiing, skating, hockey, ice fishing and centrally located to multiple ski resorts in NY and Vermont.

This direct waterfront home was recently reconstructed to maximize lake and mountain views with high quality features throughout. The home's 1st floor design has a living room w/view, dining room w/view, bedroom w/view, a very modern kitchen w/snack bar for 4 people, full bath and a laundry room. The second floor boasts hardwood floors, a master bedroom with majestic views, a 2nd bedroom and a ceramic tile bathroom with a double vanity, and walk-in shower. Enjoy some of the spectacular sunsets while having your choice of dining outside under cover or in the open air on the wrap- around deck. This property also features a air transfer system for fresh air being transferred in to the house.

Centrally located, this property is minutes to Lake George, Saratoga, the Great Escape fun park, shopping, fine dining, hiking, skiing and all the amenities the Adirondacks have to offer.

We had another wonderful stay at this house on Glen Lake in Queensbury, NY. The home was clean, spacious, and well-equipped—the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed using the grill, canoe, corn hole, and the dock for both swimming and fishing. The view of the lake is absolutely beautiful and makes for a relaxing getaway. This was our second time staying here, and we would definitely return again.

Wonderful!

Just as other reviewers have said, the home and property are immaculate and have everything you need for a relaxing vacation on the lake. The kayaks, canoe and paddleboard are great and the lake itself is quiet and beautiful. More importantly, Christine was such a pleasure to work with and a great host. She promptly answered all questions and even had her daughter (a pastry chef) surprise us with a delicious homemade birthday cake for our arrival. What a thoughtful and lovely gift! We enjoyed our stay so much and hope to return again in the future.

This is a beautiful home. The house is a roomy 3 bedroom that is very clean. The property is great, with direct lake access and a dock. We liked the community around the house and were a short drive to Laker George and Bolton Lake. The owner, Christine, was excellent to deal with. We highly recommend.

Such a special week! Can’t wait to visit again!

We had an incredible week at this beautiful rental! The house is absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed for a comfy stay. The view of Glen Lake from the living area and master bedroom was a dream come true each day. I even slept with the blinds open to make sure we could wake up to the stunning view of the lake. The property itself is breathtaking, with the private dock offering the perfect spot for swimming in the warm, comfortable lake water. Christine and Pat are exceptional hosts. They thought of everything and were incredibly communicative, even giving us a heads-up about approaching storms, which turned out to be absolutely beautiful as well. The house is immaculate and so spacious. We took full advantage of the fire pit and made countless amazing memories during our stay. Plus, it’s just a few minutes drive into Lake George village and close to outlet shopping. What made this stay even more special was that my partner of 8 years and I eloped during our visit. We initially sought a place around Lake George for our intimate ceremony, as the area is dear to us, but we instantly fell in love with Christine and Pat’s property. We chose to elope by the beautiful tree in front of the dock. I had informed Christine of our plans beforehand, and upon arrival, we were delighted to find a delicious, stunning wedding cake made by her daughter, an incredible pastry chef. We are still so very thankful! This trip is one my husband and I will never forget. Thank you again!

Absolutely beautiful property in great location!

Outstanding Experience!

We stayed at Sunset Escape to spend time with family and to enjoy the fall foliage & this home exceeded our expectations. This is the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in - every detail was thought of, from the gorgeous & sparkling windows with views, to the small touches like throws on the sofas, to all of the kitchen accessories, Keurig coffee maker, toaster & adorable wine bar. It is a comfortable, immaculate, well laid out, charming home, in a fabulous location. We will definitely be back to enjoy more time at Sunset Escape. We'd also like to give a special thank you to our hosts, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional! Great week at Glen Lake

We enjoyed the week at Glen Lake Sunset Escape as a family. Christine was an awesome host, the house, location and lake were perfect. We would recommend staying here to anyone looking to relax and enjoy the local attractions (e.g., hiking Shelving Falls, seeing a movie at Glen Falls Drive-in, shopping at the outlets and in Lake George Village). If preference is to stay at the lake then there is kayaking, swimming and plenty of fish to catch.

Lovely Lake Home

My family and I enjoyed our time at Glen Lake Sunset Escape. Some days, we just hung around the property; fishing, kayaking, sitting by the fire, playing yard games, and watching t.v. Some days we went out exploring; Lake Placid area, Fort Ticonderoga, Lake George, Shelving Rock, horseback riding, playing mini golf and shopping at the outlets. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The showers were hot and there were plenty of towels. We had everything we needed to make some meals in the house and on the grill. It was so nice to have extra items like paper towels, toliet paper, soap, etc. there already for us to use. When talking to locals, they all said we were lucky to be in a house along Glen Lake.
