The host was responsive and quick to answer our questions. The property matched the photos and is in an excellent location right on the main street, making it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Access requires going down a set of stairs from street level, as the apartment is on the lower floor of the building. This would be a great place to stay in spring, summer, or fall, but it is not well suited for winter. The apartment was extremely cold, with uninsulated floors that felt like they sat directly on concrete. We had to keep shoes on indoors at all times. There is no thermostat, so we couldnât gauge the exact temperature, but it was uncomfortable enough that we would have needed to find other accommodations if we had been traveling with our child. We also had issues with plumbing due to the cold. Neither the bathroom nor kitchen sink had hot water, and the hot water lines appeared to be frozen. The shower did have hot water, which was helpful. At one point, the toilet water and supply line froze, making it unusable until we manually thawed the lines with a hairdryer and repeatedly refilled the tank with hot water from the shower. As noted in the listing, there is no dedicated parking. We parked in a nearby lot about a four-minute walk away and had to monitor meters every four hours during paid parking times.Overall, a charming and well-located apartment, but not ideal for winter stays.
