Ideal for long country walks, it is 11.5 miles from the beautiful Blackdown Hills and 18 miles from the Quantock Hills. Guests may, however, simply prefer to unwind and spend quality time together within the remarkable house and its gorgeous grounds, which include a gym, sauna and hot tub. Approach the mansion via its mile-long driveway and admire its striking facade as you round the corner. Feel yourself going back in time to the glory days of this incredible abode as you follow the steps up to the main front door and step into the awe-inspiring reception hall. From here, find yourself immediately enveloped by elegant interiors with an abundance of ornate period features and attractive antique furnishings. Spread out and make yourselves at home in the lovely reception room, with its Smart TV and wood burner, or the games room, where the younger members of your party can play pool. Head into the kitchen/diner to take turns preparing hearty breakfasts and fine dinners for your group to enjoy either here or upstairs in the stunning dining room. Also within the main section of the house, at ground-floor level, are a boot room and a utility room. Follow the dramatic staircase up to the first floor to gather around the tables in the incredible dining room. Here, you can sit down to celebrate that important birthday or anniversary. A snug, where you can light another of the four wood burners within this mansion, is also on the first floor. Head on up to the floor above within this central section of the house to discover two gorgeous, super-king-size bedrooms. Each of these enjoys an en-suite bathroom, one featuring an elegant, free-standing bath. The East and West Wings of the property offer additional sumptuous accommodation across two storeys. The West Wing features a first floor reception room, complete with a cosy wood burner and Smart TV, as well as a super-king-size bedroom and en-suite shower room. On the floor above, there are two more super-king-size bedrooms, both with zip-and-link beds, allowing them to be made up as twins instead by prior request. One of these has an en-suite shower room and dressing room. The other, which is accessed by two steps, has an en-suite bathroom, with an elegant roll-top bath. The East Wing also includes a lovely reception room, with a Smart TV and wood burner, at its lower level, together with a super-king-size bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom, featuring a free-standing bath.
