Schöner, ruhiger Urlaub im Nov.

Mit dem Auto ca 15 min vom Flughafen entfernt, etwas ausserhalb der Stadt. Ist ein schönes Hotel, hatte nur mit Frühstück gebucht, sehr grosse, leckere Auswahl. Es gibt ein Pool mit Poolbar, Strand, zur Hauptsaison mit Wassersportangebot, Kinderspielplatz, Fitnessbereich, PingPong, Tischfussball, Wellnessangebote, Indoorschwimmbecken, Kiosk-Souvenierladen, Bars. Direkt vis a vis div. Restaurants, Bars, kleine Supermärkte. Direkt vor dem Hotel ist die Bushaltestelle in die Stadt. 1.50 euro / Weg, jede halbe Stunde, ca 20 min Fahrzeit. In der Nebensaison war nur am Fr. und Sam. etwas los. Larnaca selber hat eine hübsche Strandpromenande mit guten Cafes und Restaurant, der Rest war nichts besonderes. In der Nebensaison kann ich es wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Zur Hauptsaison könnte es ziemlich eng werden am Pool und Strand, da das Hotel nicht viel Umschwung hat.

Ok Aufenthalt

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hotel ist gewertet 5 Stern für Zypern, zum vergleichen Schweiz eher ein 3 Stern. Viel zu Teuer zum Leistungsverhältnis.

Bel hôtel et magnifique piscine. Les employés sont aux petits soins et le lieu calme et paisible. Par contre, fait un peu étrange: chaque client réserve ses chaises et parasols et ceux-ci sont réservés l'entier du séjour, même si vous décidez d'aller sur les chaises en question qu'une seule fois dans la semaine. Une chaise, ou un parasol, peut donc être réservés sans qu'on les utilise. Cocktails un peu cher. Chambres propres et silencieuse.

personnel très souriant et accueillant !

Pros: accueil et gentillesse du personnel, propreté des chambres et de tout l'hotel en général, ses installations piscines et aires de sport, ...
Cons: peut-être la cuisine, c'était pas top, mais très bon quand-même...
Location: ce qui est appréciable, c'est que c'est pas un "village de vacances" comme Agyia Napa... Pyla est bien centré et l'accès à d'autres sites est facile
nous avons trouvé un hotel parfait! très belles installations, propreté excellente, et ambiance très agréable. Le seul "hic" est que la route qui passe devant l'hotel est un peu bruyante, mais sans trop déranger. Ce qui nous a vraiment frappé, c'est la gentillesse et le sourire de tout le staff de cet hôtel! nous pouvons sans autre le recommander et il est probable que nous y reviendrons un jour !

Out of season experience

I'm sure Golden Bay offers everything a family needs in high season. My January experience was not so good however. Reception was disorganized, gym and 'spa' facilities need repair and refit, the whole hotel felt dated and the restaurant buffets were poor. Overall a pretty tired and poor quality feel throughout

Average hotel for the price

Pros: Good breakfast, nice pool, nice staff. For the price it was fine. Quiet during this period. Cons: Location is 12 euro cab to Larnaca, it's not luxurious, unnecessary rules like 1 towel per person and the a la carte evening food was very poor. Summary: A very average beach hotel. My expectations set by the description and that it was 5* was that it would be more luxurious. For the price I should have probably been more realistic!

great location, great hotel

Great location, right on the beach. Plenty of restaurents outside. Bar drinks were expensive. Overall great hotel, clean and friendly. Allocation of sunlounges was great.
