I had been to Laughlin before and stayed at three other hotels (one of them twice). I had also eaten at Golden Nuggetâs restaurants before, but this last visit to Laughlin was my first time renting a room at this hotel.
Overall, my experience was good. The rooms are not small, and both the hotel and the rooms are very clean. The staff were not very friendly, but they were courteous and helpful at times.
We ate at the restaurant by the main entrance (I forgot the name). They serve good food. I ordered a chicken pot pie at a fair price â it was delicious. I also ordered a Bloody Mary, which did not meet my expectations, so I sent it back. It was not charged, which I appreciated. The casino and the ladiesâ restrooms were well maintained.
The reason I did not give this hotel 5 stars is because there is limited parking for disabled guests, there are no luggage carts available, and although workers saw us, they ignored us. Also, the bed sheets and pillows were not as soft as they should be. I have fibromyalgia, and this really affected my skin. The pillows were not long or comfortable enough for a good nightâs sleep. Luckily, I brought my own sheets.
I want to mention something very important that sets this place apart from others: smoking is not allowed in any of the rooms. This is a great benefit compared to other places, and those of us who donât smoke truly appreciate it.
Last thing â yes, I will be back. I still need to visit the gift shop and the swimming pool.
Thank you,
