"Le Armelline", holiday home in the heart of the historic center of Lecce.

The house, a typical construction with star vaults, is located in a small courtyard near Piazza Sant'Oronzo, just 50 meters away from the main street and the beautiful church of Sant'Irene, historically considered as the exact center of the city ancient.
The apartment can accommodate up to 5 people, and is composed of a comfortable fully equipped kitchen/dining room, two double bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower, a mezzanine with a single bed (a comfortable Japanese futon), a small laundry room with washing machine , a small internal cloister. It is equipped with heating, bed linen and towels, pots, crockery, cutlery and any other useful accessory. In summer the rooms are naturally cool and do not need air conditioning. However, there is 1 air conditioner in the smaller double bedroom.
Its position allows you to spend a pleasant and relaxing stay in the fascinating beauty of the historic center of Lecce, with its evocative baroque architecture, alleys, courtyards, artisan shops, typical restaurants and any other cultural, artistic or recreation of the ancient village.
Those arriving by car must park outside the historic center about 600/700 m from the apartment.
There are 2 paid car parks:
- private secure parking
- unattended municipal parking at 60 cents. per hour (free from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m., from 9.00 p.m. to 9.00 a.m., and all holidays)
It is a perfect accommodation for those who come to Lecce for work or want to visit and discover Salento; in a short time it is possible to reach the splendid places of the Adriatic coast (Torre dell'Orso, Otranto, Santa Cesarea, Castro) or of the Ionian coast (Porto Cesareo, Porto Selvaggio, Santa Caterina, Gallipoli, Marina di Ugento, up to Santa Maria di Leuca where it is possible to appreciate the meeting of the two seas, Adriatic and Ionian).
It is also possible to choose the itineraries to reach the suggestive municipalities of the hinterland (Acaya, Galatina, Maglie, the municipalities of GrecĂŹa Salentina, Cutrofiano, Capo di Leuca)

Ruhig und zentral erholen in Lecce

Wir fanden nette Vermieter die uns herzlich und mit sĂŒsser Überraschung empfangen haben. Sie waren entgegenkommend was die Anreise Zeit betraf und waren selbst am Sonntag Morgen vor Ort um die SchlĂŒssel zu ĂŒbergeben. Sie organisierten sofort einen Handwerker als mit dem Warmwasser etwas nicht stimmte, was durch unsere Unwissenheit via falschem Schalter Gleich auch den KĂŒhlschrank abstellte. Die Wohnung ist wie beschrieben schön, sauber und empfehlenswert. Vielen Dank fĂŒr Ihre Hilfeleistung und freundliche Art.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt in Lecce

Diese liebevoll eingerichtete Wohnung liegt direkt im historischen Zentrum von Lecce, zentral, aber sehr ruhig. Der Empfang durch die Gastgeberin Maria war sehr nett und freundlich. Wir wurden von ihr außerhalb des Zentrums, welches man nicht dem PKW befahren darf, zu Fuß abgeholt und zur Unterkunft , die ca. 500m entfernt liegt, begleitet. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können diese Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Family vacation in Lecce

We would like to thank Maurizio for all of his help and good advice while we were planning this vacation. He informed us about the closest parking lot within walking distance of the apartment so we knew we could park our rental car every day without looking for a parking spot and coins. He also gave us excellent instructions leading us to our meeting spot on the outskirts of the city. We followed him into the historic center, could unload our luggage and then move our car to the parking lot. That was a big help. We would have never found our way to the apartment in the maze of one way streets! He showed us everything in the apartment. We loved the look of the apartment with mix of old and new. We felt very comfortable there. The interior design of the apartment is very clever (sliding doors in the walkthrough room, the loft level with the single bed, the bypass corridor next to the walkthrough room, the built in cabinets in and next to the bathroom). It was great that we could wonder around the city and come back home when it got too hot. The guide books in 4 different languages were very helpful. We particularly liked the book about the beaches and all of the maps of the city and Salento. Thanks also for the restaurant recommendations. We had some very scrumptious meals (Alle Due Corti, La Barca di Mario, Blu Notte) and learned quickly that the size of the appetizers in Lecce is rather large. At the end of our stay, Maurizio was kind enough to drive us and our bags to the parking lot. Thanks again! Jane, Matthias and Tristan

Eine wunderschöne Wohnung im Herzen der Altstadt

Die liebevoll gepflegte und sanft renovierte Wohnung voller Leccesercharmeliegt sehr zentral. Maurizio kĂŒmmert sich herzlich, aber unaufdringlich um die GĂ€ste und chauffierte uns sogar vom Bahnhof hin und zurĂŒck. Wer diese schmucke Stadt kennenlernen will, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Wir danken dem liebenswĂŒrdigen Besitzer ganz herzlich fĂŒr die Tage, die wir in der Casa Armelina verbringen durften.

Tolle Lage in einem sehenswerten StÀdtchen

Wir waren zu viert Ende Oktober fĂŒr eine Woche in Lecce und haben es genossen. Die Wohnung ist sehr gerĂ€umig, sehr gute Betten und die Lage ist super, ruhig und doch absolut zentral. Leider hatten wir regnerisches, schwĂŒl- warmes Wetter, entsprechend feucht roch es in der Wohnung (das mag im Sommer anders sein). Maurizio ist sehr liebenswert, hat uns und unser GepĂ€ck zum Appartment gebracht und uns einen bewachten Parkplatz empfohlen, der in 5 Minuten Fußweg zu erreichen ist (fĂŒr 5 Euro am Tag kann man jederzeit ein und ausfahren und das Ticket gleich zu Anfang fĂŒr den gesamten Aufenthalt erwerben). Ansonsten ist Maurizio sehr hilfsbereit, als es Probleme mit dem Wasserdruck gab, war er gleich zur Stelle, auch seine Tipps hinsichtlich gutem Eis und Pizza waren in Ordnung, unsere Favoriten: - Ciro Pizzaria (sehr gut und Ă€ußerst gĂŒnstig, nette EigentĂŒmer, leider Plastikteller) - CRIANZA Restaurant (außergewöhnlich und geschmacklich einfallsreich, mit viel Liebe zum Detail) - Sensi Gelateria Artigianale (laut unseren Kindern das beste Eis).

One quiet week in Lecce

My friend and I picked Lecce as a base for its history and architectural beauty. The center is compact and the train station is within walking distance. The apartment was spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was only 2 of us but it could accommodate 5. We enjoyed its location.

Where to begin. Firstly, the location was perfect. It was a 2 minute walk from Piazza Samt’oranzo (one of the main squares in the old town) and bars, restaurants, shops galore. However, it was perfectly situated enough away from the hustle and bustle not to hear any of the goings on. The property itself was amazing. Beautiful baroque architecture. High ceilings,, original stone walls and all kept in pristine condition. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The mezzanine got very warm so it was essential to have the fan on when sleeping up there but was very cozy. The one bedroom that had air conditioning was perfect. The kitchen had everything you needed and the the two bathrooms proved very useful for my family of 5. The host was fantastic, always available (not that we needed to contact her that often) and extremely helpful. She communicated very clearly with us addressing all our questions well. She really went the extra mile organising a cot for our baby, having some water, food and snacks there for our arrival and even helping us out with travel arrangements from Brindisi airport. We stayed here for a total of 4 weeks and it was absolutely perfect t. Lecce itself is just such a relaxed and beautiful place. Will 100% be back!

Beautiful house in Lecce

We had a wonderful stay in Lecce. The city is beautiful and the location is very central. The house was very clean and nicer than the pictures. The rooms are beautiful and everything worked well. Maria was very helpful and communicative- thank you for making feel at home! As a note when staying in the old city: parking will be a little distant, so expect to walk about 10 minutes.

Very nice house

Everything in the house was perfectly clean and aligned with the pictures. Very good site for the access to the city. The host were wery king and helpful (thank you). The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable. About the things to improve; 1. The parking is at least 700 meters and the access with luggage is complicated. 2. The exterior space is not very confortable (furnitures) and limited. 3. One thing that is missing is an interior space to sit and relax (sofas, etc.). The experience was positive.
