The apartment is in a great location, a short walk from the São Sebastião metro station (blue and red lines) and the Saldanha station (yellow line). Several bus lines are also nearby, providing easy access to all of Lisbon. The neighborhood is mostly residential, with plenty of excellent restaurants serving both traditional Portuguese cuisine and dishes from many other cultures. There are also several supermarkets and small grocery stores within a few blocks. The area felt very safe, and despite keeping the windows open, we were never disturbed by traffic noise, even during rush hour. The apartment is on the third floor (fourth in U.S. terminology) without an elevator. It is well furnished, as shown in the photos, and the beds are comfortable. We visited during an unusually warm period, with temperatures in the low 90s. My son used the fan provided in the second bedroom, which has no exterior window, and was comfortable throughout our stay. The apartment has two bathrooms with good water pressure and quickly available hot water.Jorge was an excellent host. He met us upon arrival, explained everything clearly, and welcomed us with a fruit basket and two bottles of Portuguese wine. He was also extremely responsive when we accidentally locked ourselves out on our first evening and resolved the issue immediately.A few minor suggestions: check that all light bulbs are working, repair the shades in the enclosed back porch, provide an additional fan for warmer months...
