The serene sounds of the rapids across the river, the birds' song, and the pleasure of floating the river await. The Lazo House is nestled on 10 acres of unspoiled Texas hill country, with expanses of pink granite outcroppings.
The Space:
Our four beautifully designed cabins, along with the barn, and common house are perfect for family reunions, couple retreats or corporate off-site gatherings. Main Common House:
= Features a cozy living room with panoramic views featuring a 60-inch satellite LED-TV, Wi-Fi, and laundry room. Our gourmet kitchen includes upgraded appliances, gas oven/stove top, microwave, 2 dishwashers, and all the cookware and utensils you'll need to impress everyone with your culinary skills.

Cabins:
- Each individual cabin features deluxe bedding, room to spread out, tea and coffee makers and a patio to enjoy the sunrise right.

Barn: The newly renovated barn includes 4 twin bunk beds, full bathroom, a foosball table, dart board, smart LED-TV and a large living room for spreading out.
Llano river access: 4 kayaks are available and stored to the right of the main house. Please provide your own life jacket in accordance with state laws.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to all 10 acres of unspoiled Texas Hill Country, including:
- All 4 cabins, the main commons, barn, full kitchen, private pool, and laundry room.
- Fun amenities such as a foosball table, dart board, kayaks, canoes, and riverfront access.
- Four campfire areas that are perfect for evening stories under the stars.

We encourage you to explore the property and enjoy the river during your stay.
Several fire pits are available for guest use. Kindly bring your own firewood or supplies and be sure to fully extinguish all flames and coals after each use.
Please note that some closet spaces are reserved for housekeeping supplies and are not accessible to guests.

Getting Around:
A car is a necessity in the Hill Country. The property is out in the country 10 miles west of the town of Llano, which is 70 miles west of Austin.
A great barbecue and general store are 8 miles west in the village of Castell, TX. Live music is about 30 miles northwest at Hilltop Cafe. The Llano area has 4 wineries and a distillery to visit. Or, just relax into the serene hill country surroundings and unwind..
Other Things to Note:
Important: We are committed to protecting our properties and staying compliant with short-term rental regulations. As part of our protection plan, included in your booking price, you will be required to complete an independent third-party verification through Truvi. Before your booking begins, you will be contacted via email and/or text to confirm your details and complete the verification process.
To ensure a smooth check-in experience, you'll also be asked to review and sign the House Rules, Emerald Stay Terms & Conditions, provide a copy of your ID and credit card details for incidentals and reason for visit via the Guest App Link sent in your reservation confirmation. Please make sure to complete both steps at least 24 hours before your arrival to receive your arrival instructions.
Please note that payments over $1,000 require a quick verification step. Guesty Pay Protect will contact you via email before your payment is processed to complete this verification. If the verification isn’t completed within 15 minutes, the reservation will unfortunately be canceled due to non-payment.
House Rules:
- Occupancy [22]
- The primary guest must be at least 21 years old and present for the entire reservation.
- Early check-in and late check-out are possible, subject to availability and with an associated fee.
- Unauthorized parties and events are NOT allowed without prior written approval.
- Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM.
- If any furniture is moved, please place it back in the original space where it was found.
- Additional charges (including shipping fees) may apply if personal items are left behind.
- In the event that you need to use the hard key, we kindly request that you place it back in the lockbox before departing. Failure to return any keys used to the lockbox will result in a $50 replacement fee per key.
- Please note that access to the property is easier with larger vehicles, as they are better suited for the road/driveway conditions.
Pet Policy:
- A maximum of 4 pets is allowed for an additional fee of $100 per pet.
- Please clean up after your pets.
Parking Rules:
- Parking is available on the premises. Please do not park on the grass.
Pool Rules:
- The pool can be heated for an additional $75/day.
- Please notify us a day before check-in if you want it heated during your stay.
- Guests must turn the heating on an hour before using the pool.
- No lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.
- Please rinse off before entering the pool. An excessive pool clean may be charged.
- Supervise children at all times. Do not leave children unattended on the property or near/on the water.
- No glass or food is permitted in the pool and pool area. Additional fees may apply if glass is found in these areas.
- The pool flotation devices are allowed only in the pool, and not allowed for use outside of the pool.
- Please do not tamper with the pool equipment to avoid damage.
- Please note that the pool heater may struggle to maintain temperature if it's below 45°F. If the temperature drops below 35°F, we will be unable to turn the heater on, as it cannot function effectively at that level.
- For health, safety, and maintenance reasons, pets are strictly prohibited from entering the pool. A $500 fine will be charged if this rule is violated.
- Please turn the pool heating off every night to avoid damage to the pool equipment.
- Please ensure to close the umbrellas after each use. It is very windy, and they can break. Guests will be responsible for the cost if they break from non-compliance with this rule.
Fire and Safety Precautions:
- Smoking is not allowed.
- Minimum smoking fee: $300. However, the total charge may be higher if the property's condition renders it temporarily unrentable.
- Shooting firearms/weaponry is prohibited on the property.
- Fireworks are not allowed.
- The charcoal grill is located outside of the deck overlooking the terrain. Charcoal is not supplied.
Please clean & remove food from the grill after use so it is ready for the next guests. Do not leave unattended, and be sure it is extinguished completely after use.
- Do not adjust, operate, or tamper with any pump systems, valves, pipes, or other utility equipment on the property. If you notice an issue, please contact management, and we will be happy to assist.
- There is a fire pit located by the river. We kindly ask bring your own supplies. If you do have a fire, please do not leave it unattended and be sure it is extinguished completely. Fire hazard is high in the Hill Country. Firewood is not supplied. Please consult the county burn ban site before starting any open flame fires. Up to a $500 fine for burning during a burn ban.
Creek Rules:
- Use kayaks and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) at your own risk. We have two kayaks available for use; they are stored on the side of the main house.
- Life jackets are required. Please bring and wear one while on the water. Life vests and paddles are stored in the closet on the exterior of the building.
- Children must be supervised at all times near or in the creek.
HVAC Rules:
- Please do not set the home's thermostat above 76 (heating) or below 68 (cooling). To avoid overloading the system, please adjust the thermostat by no more than 2 degrees per hour and keep the doors and windows closed as much as possible. If you encounter any issues, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Please note that this is a rural property out in the Texas Hill Country, where it's common to encounter wildlife such as birds, reptiles, deer, and other local fauna. Rural areas like ours may have limited or different services compared to urban settings, including cell phone and delivery services.
As you may know, Texas is known for its bug inhabitants. Rest assured, we take proactive measures to manage this, and it shouldn't pose a problem during your stay. To help us keep them outside, please keep all windows and doors closed. Please feel free to use the bug spray underneath the sink.
