Nice apartment in great location

Small but nice apartment in the heart of South Kensington. Very accessible and at the same time a great base for everything you want to do in London. Even on foot it is not too far to Buckingham and South Kensington is super as a district, quite relaxed and it is only 5 min to Kensington Garden.

Alfi was a great host. He was very helpful, pre-check-in and with any questions that we had. The property is in a great neighborhood with easy access to the underground and many good places to eat and shop. The flat had everything you would need, but typical of European flats, the dryer for clothes was a heated towel rack. Note, as the listing states it is on the fourth floor, so you must be able to handle steps.

It was a lovely flat in south Kensington that backs up to a very nice park. very convenient to the tube (2 blocks away) and some nice little shops. We really appreciated having the dishwasher and washing machine. the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small but worked for the two of us quite well. Nice breeze, quiet. Alfi the owner was great, let us into the room early and had someone meet us there to go over logistics, a map of the area. wonderful communication through the VRBO app, much appreciated! The owner was very clear that this is 4th floor walkup, even double checking before we finished booking. We were aware, and we did it...and it really was a LOT of stairs, more like 6 flights in the US (high ceilings on each floor). So really be careful that you can do this amount of stairs with all your luggage. For us, it just meant a very slow first day climb, and after that we didn't go back each day to the flat until we were done for the day and ready for bed. I hate even putting this here because it was such a positive experience, but important for others I think.

Perfect location for everything . Walking distance to many things . Tube just a few blocks from flat . Take glouster road stop . Flat perfect . One nice bedroom , nice bathroom . Cold water upon arrival from our wonderful host ! Lots of info at flat , maps etc. purchase on off bus tickets right at first block before flat at small shop. Coffee shops walking distance . Food and anything you might need close by . Would definitely return . We were ok with it and made aware after we booked , but be advised no lift and 95 stairs to get up into the flat . Our host helped us on the way in . But we were solo on the return . Pack light . Perfect location . Highly recommend . Thank you

Apartment was well appointed, comfortable, & clean and LOCATION was great! We were able to walk to many sites - Royal Albert Hall, Museum of Natural History, Urban Barista for our day trip to the Cotswolds, to name a few. We didn’t actually use the Tube until our 3rd day and it was also a convenient 3 block walk w/ Waitrose grocery at the entrance- we traveled to Westminster Abbey, West End for a play, Kew Gardens and finally, Heathrow Airport without having to change lines. All very convenient. Alfi met us and pointed out various features of the apartment and also made some suggestions and had a map Of the area. All appreciated. A number of guest reviews mention the stairs as the apartment is on 4th floor, which is clearly stated in listing. Other than arrival w/ luggage and later carrying a case of water, the stairs were not an issue for us, but could be for a person with any kind of mobility issue. Overall, it was a wonderful flat!

Worth Every Step!

We had a wonderful stay in London at Alfi’s flat! I was in town for a conference nearby and a friend and I stayed for just over a week. Communication was exceptional from booking when he wrote to confirm we were aware of the steps mentioned in the listing. Alfi provided useful directions from the airport and met us personally at checkin. He took the time upon greeting us to provide maps and suggestions for the area, including some excellent restaurant recommendations. (Don’t miss Dishoom!) The flat was impeccably clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect and we enjoyed exploring Kensington Park and the Natural History museum. It was also very close to the tube station for easy access to all major destinations. We didn’t even need to transfer at all. Would high recommend and would definitely return. Thanks Alfi for a wonderful stay!

Stunning flat in a perfect location

We have only the highest marks for this great experience. This is a perfect South Kensington location in a vibrant upscale neighbourhood with lovely cafes and shops, and close to major attractions and the tube. The flat is clean, classy and has everything we needed, worth the 92-stair walk-up (which, yes, can be daunting after a full day touring around London!). The bed is SO comfortable! Alfi was an attentive host and helped set us up for a great vacation. Don’t miss the Hereford Arms pub in the area, and make time for the Spitalfields Market to immerse yourself in history while shopping for great deals and amazing food. The Covent Garden market is also great, with plenty of characters and it’s fun poking through the small antiques. (Both are way better than Portobello Rd market in our opinion.)

This really is a lovely flat. The location is perfect just a few minutes walk from the Gloucester Rd Tube station, shopping and restaurants. The meet & greet with the host to pick up the keys was no problem. He was very helpful and quick to reply to any questions we had. Read the property description carefully as the hosts notes there is no lift! We were fine since this meant a good garden view and quite comfortable, well equipped flat. We hope to return one day!

Beautiful Flat in Charming Upscale South Kensington

This flat is in a beautiful, very upscale area of London with many shops and restaurants but on a charming side street - not over run with tourists (yet very walkable to heavy tourist spots). The flat itself is fantastic: very clean, newer appliances, everything in great condition (NO deferred maintenance, very efficient layout, lots of towels and extra bedding items, all of the apparatus in the flat works really well - door locks, shower, stove, oven, heating, windows, etc). Plus, the owner Alfi is outstanding: rapid communication, highly accommodating, very kind and easy to work with, does not waste any of the renter’s time on coordination, unnecessary details, etc). The flat is perfect for 2-4 people - ideal for a family. There is no elevator/lift which we actually liked.
