It was a lovely location where we needed and the house was in a nice neighborhood. Loved that the host offered board games and the projector for the tv was a very cool touch!Overall a good trip but the reason for it not being a 5-star visit was just due to general maintenance and cleanliness of the facility. Hair in the bathtub, sticky counters, light switch falling out the wall, and a massive yellow stain on the bedsheet.The host was very nice and accommodating, no complaints.

The good:Enough places to sleep. Washer and dryer on site. Enough pots, utencils to make a meal. Shampoo was provided. Working fridge, oven. Needs improvement: could have been cleaned better. Kitchen counter and upper cabinets needed to be wiped. Webs all over outside. Frying pans all scratched. Only 1 fork, 1 mug, 1 bowl (others- plates, spoons, glasses enough)AC was preset to 63 so it got cold some nights. No curtains on some windows. Air filter needs urgent replacement.

My friends and I came in town for a conference at the Long Beach Convention Center. When first arriving to the house, the cleaners were there which was nice to see knowing that someone was cleaning the space. They let us leave our parked car there and roam the area, which was nearby to the beach and lots of food and snack places near by. Upon returning to the house, it was not what we expected. There was no TV in the living room area, just a projector that had a ROKU device connected to it, however there was a TV in the main bedroom. When first entering the rooms with beds, the top bunk bed had crumbs of food on it which was not very sanitary. We just removed the covers that had the crumbs on it and used a new blanket that they had in the closet. The next thing was the kitchen sink was clogged with old food which no one wanted to touch. The sink kept being filled with water and very slow to drain. As well as the sponge in the sink is very old and made it hard to wash the dishes they had. Finally, if staying on the weekend, there is a bar around the corner with a good night life but also very noisy and would wake us up in the middle of the night.

Wonderful Stay

We needed accommodations a few days before a Carnival cruise. As advertised, the location was convenient to beach access, shopping, and a variety of restaurants. Home is old but cute and comfortable.

Great location to walk to beach, restaurants & 4th Street Vintage area. Nice large living & kitchen area. However, the TV projector in living room could not be watched during day…only useable when really dark inside & outside. Back porch area was not clean. Kitchen countertops had not been cleaned. Beds not very comfortable. Bathroom was very out-datedWet laundry was left in dryer & dryer vent was full of lent. Never received check-out info.

Good for the price

Very old but charming house. Not as clean as I would have liked, blinds in main bedroom are broken (stuck in the closed position, which is better than stuck open) and poor lighting. I had a to use my flashlight to go though my luggage even with the light on. However, it had PARKING which makes it worth it! I had no idea how nice a dedicated parking spot would be!

Dont expect much

Mattresses were nothing, but springs and lumpy and not comfortable at all. there was mold and stuff growing around the air return and what appeared to be the original air filter.

This is a very old house with lots of character but in desperate need of new furniture (queen bed is lumpy/hard & VERY loud, couches are very old with sheets/covers, pillows are throw pillows in pillow cases), shower head, cookware, & sink/garbage disposal. The neighborhood and closest beach also probably used to be great but is quite rundown and there so much much trash on the streets and beach it was heartbreaking. Owner is responsive and nice. AC works well. Washer/dryer was invaluable after beach days.

Made our trip very comfortable

We Flew in from LAX and it was only a 30 minute drive. The house is a little old however it is still very comfortable and very clean. The host was very nice and let us check in earlier for an additional fee. The location was waking distance from a lot of restaurants, bars and convince stores. As well as a short scooter ride to the beach. We loved everything about the property and the area we stayed at. Some areas of opportunity or constructive feedback I can give is that the check in process could be better with a keypad which would make it easier than caring around a key and would also make us more comfortable leaving the house without thinking we could drop the key. There was no check out instructions, and the laundry room leaked water when it rained. Overall the stay was very lovely and for the price we paid made it very worth it!

Really enjoyed the area this little place was located, we had some amazing Thai food in walking distance from us. Long Beach seems to be on the expensive end, so it was nice to fine this place more in our budget. Host was communicative.
