Summary:

This breathtaking Tulum-inspired oceanfront home is located on the iconic PCH and just moments from Malibu's finest restaurants and shops. Thoughtfully designed, this 2 bed/2bath home is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Wake each morning with a cup of coffee as you experience dolphins swimming in your backyard or end each day with dinner and a sunset surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the ocean waves.



The Space:

The home's Tulum Chic design has been fully refinished and furnished throughout with luxe, high-end amenities and stylish decor for an elevated guest experience. The living area features a big flat-screen TV and a Bluetooth speaker for entertainment. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors in the living areas can be opened fully to fill the home with cool, ocean breezes. Take your pick to enjoy the ocean views from the sofa or head out to the balcony to sunbathe. The home is equipped with a full kitchen and high-speed Wi-Fi. Please note that guests do not have access to the garage. Direct beach access is not possible from the home. However, it is a 3 minutes drive to get to the closest beach (Carbon Beach). PLEASE NOTE that we do not have a washer and dryer at this location.

Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the entire home. Guests will granted access to garage per request.



The Neighborhood:

The property is located on PCH, minutes away from one of the greatest restaurants in Malibu. Nobu Malibu is 5 minutes away, Moonshadows is 1 minute away, Geoffrey's is 20 minutes away and Malibu Pier is 5 minutes away. Santa Monica is 20 minutes away from the property. Venice is around 25 minutes depending on traffic. LAX airport is a 45-minute drive from the home.



Getting Around:

We recommend renting a car as many activities are difficult to reach on foot. There is ample street parking and also a designated parking spot in front of the garage.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY (5 PPL) MUST BE RESPECTED AT ALL TIMES

ANY PARTIES WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE EVICTION



As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. Violation of any city noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation. Any gatherings of more than 5 people are not allowed on the property unless discussed and cleared with the host before check in.



Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.



We may require a security deposit for some bookings.



There are surveillance cameras on the outside of the home, both for safety and to ensure rule compliance.



This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit if applicable, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.



$35 charge per towel for any stained/ruined or missing towels

$200 charge per stained sheets/duvet cover

$35 charge per stained pillow case

$200 charge if the house is left excessively messy and requires additional cleaning



Guests must be transparent and truthful about the questions asked by the host at booking. Any incorrect information provided may result in immediate eviction without refund.



Non compliance with the rules cited above or complaints from neighbors may result in immediate eviction.



Upon check in, please report any damages to avoid being charged. We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately - if it's minor we usually won't charge. If it's a larger issue, we would like to agree on the cost with you before you leave to avoid any issues later. Thank you!

This property is VERY overpriced for what you get. You may be on the ocean, however it feels as though you may fall into the ocean. The floors, especially the outside decking is very spongy. The toilet next to the king bedroom feels like it’s falling in. The kitchen stove/oven was out of order. The ice in the freezer was freezer burnt. The water pressure overall was very little. The internet and tv did not work upon our arrival. We contacted the rental office and when we heard back we had to do the work to try and find the problem. Finally, it was suggested we check to see if it was plugged in and it wasn’t. I feel these things should be checked prior to guest check in. The area around this property was simply unsafe. Personally I would not stay here again.

The house is basically right in the ocean. Waves crashing up against the house. The views are stunning. The house is directly on PCH so very busy. There is a lot of construction work on PCH that is disruptive. The house could use a little refresh as there are cracks and chipping paint. The oven does not work but there is a small counter oven if needed. The location is good, close to both Santa Monica and Malibu. The house is nicely decorated and the balcony is great. Overall we had a nice stay.

If you're staying anywhere else, you’re doing it wrong. Waves crashing under your feet. Breeze for days. Everything you need in a kitchen. Saw dolphins, seals and even whales from the deck. Beautifully appointed - a perfect little nest for our family to unwind. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

My husband and I rented this property for two weeks so that we could be nearby for the birth of our granddaughter. I had asked before booking if the noise from PCH was a problem for sleeping, and owner replied that construction was over and should not be a problem. Not true. All night long, loud cars zipping by waking us out of sleep. Construction was loud during the day and the traffic was dangerous leaving the designated parking spot. We left early each morning and returned home typically around 8:15pm. Half of the time there was nowhere for our vehicle to park upon our return. The fire hydrant also made it difficult to park. The view was absolutely beautiful! That’s the nicest thing I can say. The sound of the waves were intense, which I liked. I did not like the way the house shuttered when the waves beat under the house. The house is old and definitely typical of properties in the area, but still for the price point, I think it should be better maintained. The patio sliding doors are impossible to open without putting your whole strength into them. The oven was broken and looking back on other reviews, other guests have complained about these same issues. I’m not sure why these things are not being addressed. Maybe it’s a permitting issue after the fires? Speaking of fires, Malibu is depressing right now. Burned homes totally turned into rubble. So sad, and I will continue to visit and support Malibu because it is a special place for sure.

Overall, we expected more from this stay. Upon arrival, we were unable to open the front door and attempted to contact the host through the Vrbo app and the phone number provided. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response for over an hour. We later discovered that the door sticks significantly and requires quite a bit of force to open, which would have been helpful to know in advance.In addition, the general cleanliness and maintenance of the home felt below expectations. There were noticeable spider webs, chipping and peeling paint, rust, warped doors and cabinets, and the exterior appeared quite worn down.The location, view and shared living space decor are excellent and truly the highlight of the property. However, we were disappointed to learn that there is currently no direct beach access from the property, as the stairway has been washed away and access is boarded up. With improved communication and some much-needed maintenance and upkeep, this property could better reflect its prime location.

Unfortunately there were a few issues with the property people should be aware of given the higher price to rent. 1) the oven is broken. Their replacement was a toaster oven, which isn’t suitable for cooking for a family of 4. This was not disclosed. There also aren’t many plates and utensils so bring your own if you’re going to eat a couple of meals here. 2) it’s located on PCH near the fire cleanup (also not disclosed) so there’s significant construction happening all day AND all night. Because the windows are paper thin we weren’t able to sleep in the bedrooms due to construction that was ongoing from 8pm -3am each day. 3) parking that’s available is also on PCH, which is fine but not ideal. The rental company gave us 200 bucks back for the noise but for the high cost you pay to rent here, others should be aware and rent with caution as I’d expect construction to continue a few more months. The view was pretty!

Rental was clean and clutter free and the pictures are very accurate. The only issues are the sliding doors are difficult to open and some we couldn’t get open as the door tracks need some maintenance. The bedrooms tend to be noisy from traffic noise as the highway is close to the home. The ocean view was very nice as you can see sunrise and sunset. Overall a nice place to stay

This place was amazing! My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary we arrived after sundown and thought it was gorgeous but the next morning waking up to the view was breathtaking almost hard to leave - like being in heaven. The place was clean, great location in Malibu ocean front and communication with the staff was simple easy and quick. Highly recommend this unit - I hope you return next year! Sara

The property itself was great - really beautiful stay and view. The towels were not cleaned however: one had hair on it from someone shaving and the other one had an orange substance which we are not sure what it was.
