The Barn - Pet Friendly

Whether you’re after a romantic weekend away, an escape with friends or catching one of the many concerts the Hunter Valley is now famous for, Madigan has a cottage to suit.

The Barn was never actually a barn, it was simply styled on a barn. It is one of our most popular cottages as it suits couples equally as well as suiting a small family or some friends.

A queen-sized bedroom downstairs and a cosy loft area with 2 queen beds provide all the sleeping comforts you desire. Quality linen and towels are all provided and the kitchen has all you will need to cook with. You’ll also find a gas BBQ on the veranda. Just bring your food and drink and you’re all set.

The barn is a freestanding, self-contained cottage.

Madigan is a self-check-in property with a check-in time after 3pm. After booking, details of the check-in process will be sent to you. We always strive to accommodate early check-in and late check-out requests, so please inform us if you plan to arrive earlier than the set check-in time.

Madigan Cottages has 5 self contained cottages on 100 wide open acres. We also have Stomp! Wine operating their cellar door on site. You'll find lots of nature including kangaroos and rabbits as well as waterbirds on our dams. We have some paddocks with agisted horses - to look at not touch :)

We are centrally located to all the Pokolbin and Lovedale area cellar doors, restaurants, golf courses etc and are a pick up point for all Hunter Valley concerts.

You will need a car to travel around Hunter Valley. However, there are small bus operators that serve the wine region and are willing to pick you up in Madigan.

There is plenty of open land for walking, biking, or simply relaxing on the verandah (or at the cellar door located on our property) to enjoy the tranquility and beautiful sunsets.

Important: Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Superhog. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Superhog will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will also be given the choice between a security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
By booking with us you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in our Rental Policy and agree to follow our HOUSE RULES:
- No smoking anywhere inside the property
- Report any breakages or damage
- Check-out by your agreed time
- Portacot and high chair are available upon request.
- Respect our neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum after 10pm
- Follow our STRICT NO PARTY POLICY.

Breaking these rules may result in charges being incurred as detailed in our terms and conditions. If you respect the property as you would your own home, you can relax and enjoy your stay.

In the event of a cancellation by a guest, refunds will be processed according to our cancellation policy, minus any applicable credit card processing fees.
