This unique and private Mountain View Lodge is nestled at the base of the Smoky Mountains in the charming town of Maggie Valley. Boasting a small creek off the scenic front porch, the soothing sound of nature gives a feeling of being tucked away in a quiet, tranquil place.

The inside of this alluring space is quite cozy and comfortable, with each room of the spacious 2100 square foot lodge having its own interesting theme. Whether you want to relax and enjoy a cup of hot coffee in front of the gas fireplace, watch a game in the family room or take a hot bubble bath in the inviting master bath, the interior has something for everyone, including your pup!

The space is also just one floor and no narrow roads or up in a mountain so very easy access and you still get great views from the porch!!! Our guests love that!!

The Mountain Creek Lodge is centrally located just minutes from the infamous stretch of Maggie Valley shops and restaurants, Cataloochee Ski Area, the Wheels Through Time Motorcycle Museum, Miniature Golf, Festival Grounds, and a sleek view of the old and soon to be revitalized Ghost Town.

Family mountain vacation

We loved our stay! Home was spacious very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back. So close to everything. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to stream and watching birds. The special touches for our animals was also nice.

Cute home away from home

Perfect for what we needed. Our 6 year old black lab was paralyzed on her left side playing ball and can’t do stairs so this house was perfect for her. Wished there was a little more outdoor space for her, but loved the bird watching from the patio. Very roomy, clean and perfect spot for our visit to Maggie valley and the ski mountain! Had a fireplace issue and the owners had it fixed within the hour! No hassle. And if you are looking for a nice place without driving up steep hills or high in the mountains this is perfect!

Great Cabin

We loved our stay here. It was perfect for our family of 4 and the grandparents. The location is perfect to go skiing. It’s a super quick drive. The cabin was spotless when we got there and is adorable! Communication with the owner was perfect. We had a couple of issues (none of which were the owner’s fault) and they were very responsive and took care of things right away. We would 100% recommend and would definitely come back!!

Family trip with young kids

This property was exactly what we needed for our crew. We were looking for convenience, accessibility, safety, and adventure - hard to that combo in the mountains. We had a 3 and 5 year old and my mom (recent knee replacement) who all did much better with a one story home, and we didn't have to sacrifice anything for this. We will absolutely be returning, and my parents even stayed an extra day! Pros/things we used: -Mountain view -Creek out frony -Rocking chairs on the front porch -Patio table for dinner on the porch -Nice kitchen -Large dining table for breakfast for everyone -Lots of family space -Easy access to adventure and convenience -Fire pit -Gas grill -Gas fireplace -Lots of birds -Soaker tub for the kids -Board games Odd things/cons: -Odd layout (but we still used it all!) -Lots of air fresheners made for strong smell -Queen bed was hard - a king bed in that room would have been a game changer -Firepit too close to drop off to creek (for kids at night) -Loose railing on porch Tips for the area -Carver's Maggie Valley Restaurant (get the trout or the livermush!) -Country Vittles Family Style Restaurant -Doc Browns BBQ (Candler, 30 min) is the BEST bbq around -Cabbage Rose (gifts) -Cold Mountain Photography (did our family photos) -Waynesville Recreational Center -Soco Falls -Parham Memorial Park -Great Smoky Mountain Railway in Bryson (45 min) -Publix and Ingles in Waynesville So many more....

Great place all on one level

My father recently had a stroke, and my mom is recovering from a broken ankle so we needed someplace to stay that was all one level, this house was a great fit. Furniture was nice and comfy, house was very clean, and owners were quick to respond to any questions we had. I will definitely stay here again! The creek running in front of cabin was so relaxing, I spent one day just reading in a rocking chair listening to the water run by. I highly recommend this place!!

Wonderful property with a great location

The property was very comfortable and had all the creature comforts you expect from a first class property. Located a short distance off of Soco Road, the main road through Maggie Valley, meant you were only a short drive to restaurants, shopping and places to visit, It's a short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee and Bryson City, and, of course Waynesville. Perfect "base camp"

Nicely redone home in Maggie Valley. Quirky layout, very comfortable, lots of space for the four of us to spread out. Great location; close to everywhere we wanted to go. Home was easy to find, plenty of flat parking. Felt very private with the tree line and the babbling brook in front of the home. Plenty of towels, blankets, dishes, etc. Two of three beds were comfortable: my son said that the bed in the middle room wasn't as enjoyable. My only complaints about the house were the lack of curtains on the bay windows in the living room (the lights from the storage place shine right in), and the cute lighting above the dining table feels like you're getting a suntan when you use them. Excellent communication with the extremely nice owners (David and Amy). The microwave ceased functioning prior to our arrival, and within an hour of letting them know, they had the (also very nice) property manager at the home with a new one. All said, it's a place we'd stay again. :)
