We stayed here in winter with 3 families. The outdoor space is beautiful, with stunning sunsets and privacy. The home had plenty of room for our group. Unfortunately for us, the negatives outweighed the positives. Before our trip, I confirmed with the host the pool would be heated and hot tub would be heated to hot tub temps due to cold Feb outside temps. I was assured they would be. What we were not told is that the pool heater shuts off when temperatures drop below 55F, which happened often during our stay. As a result, we couldnât use the pool or hot tub most of the week. We also only learned upon arrival that the pool and hot tub cannot be heated at the same time, which was tough for a group of 9 wanting to use the pool or hot tub at different times. There was no heat in the downstairs bedrooms, making those rooms very uncomfortable. The host said heat would be provided for us, but it never was. The home needs a deep clean. Kitchen items were dirty, there was heavy dust on fans and rafters, the couch smelled musty, and the guest house felt damp. We also saw a roach. There were several maintenance issues: washer not working at first, dishwasher problems, slow oven, water leaks, and unannounced repair visits. Communication with host became extremely rude and dismissive with frequent comments about ânot being able to control the weatherâ the weather was not the issue, we knew it would be cold, the issue was the lack of clear disclosure and unmet promises.
