Spend a sunny afternoon poolside working on your tan while enjoy a beverage fresh from Barnacle Barney's, the resort's tiki bar and grill overlooking the on-site marina. Barnacle Barney's serves beer, wine, frozen drinks and offers a full menu, including local favorites from both land and sea. Gaze into the clear lagoon waters and admire a menagerie of colorful sea life like parrotfish, tarpon and lobster, plus marvel at the graceful egrets, heron and pelicans roosting among the mangroves. And don’t be surprised to see an iguana or two perched amid the resort’s dense vegetation. Palm trees, hammocks and tiki torches dot the landscape, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing tropical getaway. And be sure to stick around for the resort's "sunset celebration" held every evening and punctuated by a cannon salute as the sun touches the western horizon.

Both exciting water sports and fishing are only steps away. You can rent kayaks, boats and jet skis on site or charter a fishing boat for a thrilling day at sea.

BOAT SLIP RESERVATIONS: A limited number of boat slips are available exclusively to Bluegreen Vacation Club owners with confirmed villa reservations at The Hammocks at Marathon. Owners must reserve boat slips in advance, subject to availability, using Vacation Points. Boat slips must be reserved together with villa accommodations, which must also be reserved using Vacation Points. There is no boat launch on site, however, a boat launch is available approximately ¾ mile from the resort. Owners with a boat slip reservation wishing to park a boat trailer at the resort may park only in designated areas and only within the dates of the boat slip reservation. Other restrictions may apply.
