This is in Caldwell, Ohio. We stayed here b/c my husband's parents live very close but they don't have air conditioning so in the summer we choose the hotel to stay when we visit them. No shopping around, a couple of restaurants and gas stations are close for convenience. Again, it's a small town so this is not touristy at all. But very safe. And quiet. The backdrop of the hills in SE Ohio which you can get a good view from in the hotel is beautiful. It's quaint and pleasant. Pool and hot tub are adequate. Everything clean and well maintained.
Staff is extremely pleasant and hard working. Breakfast was one of the better breakfasts I've ever had at a hotel of this standard. And the kitchen staff worked hard to make sure the food was kept warm and restocked as it was pretty busy in there on a Saturday morning.
I do think for Caldwell, Ohio that $142/night might be a bit steep in price seeing as how there is really nothing there (no offense, Caldwell) but just saying. I think it was $115 with tax last year which to me seems a more appropriate price.
Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend if you're ever traveling to / near Caldwell for some reason.
