Lupine Landing - Spacious Home near Yosemite

Come stay in this lovely 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home on a large lot in the gorgeous Sierra Nevada foothills. We are situated 12 miles from Mariposa town proper, and close enough to Oakhurst that you have options for entering Yosemite or finding a nice place to eat. The property is 31 miles from the valley entrance and 39 miles from the south entrance into Yosemite National Park. It is close enough to the main highway for quick access, while remote enough to feel private. The home is on three acres with beautiful Pine, Oak and Manzanita trees, not to mention the amazing moss-covered boulders. In the springtime the hills surrounding the house are covered in lush grass dotted with wildflowers. This is a vacation gem!

You'll find it easy to cook in the fully equipped kitchen with plentiful counter space. What better place to make a quick breakfast on the go or a slow-paced, delicious family meal? Adjacent to the kitchen is a small area with a coffee station where you can sit peacefully with a quiet cup of coffee and enjoy the beautiful view. Or, if you prefer, take a less than five-minute drive and enjoy a freshly brewed cup from the locally famous Mariposa Coffee Company just down the road.

If you need to work during your stay, you'll be pleased with the home office setup which includes a desk, printer, and high speed internet access.

For evening entertainment you can enjoy a walk down the quiet road, kick back inside and stream your favorite show, play foosball in the garage, or tackle one of the many puzzles available. Don't forget to step outside at night and enjoy the stars without the light pollution of the city. Then, after a long day, you'll be able to sink into a luxurious night's sleep in the comfy beds which are outfitted with 100% Egyptian cotton sheets.

Some things to note:

The house is situated in a rural area in the beautiful foothills of Yosemite. This location contains a lot of wildlife. Enjoy watching families of quail pecking at the ground in the morning. You may hear an occasional owl or coyote in the distance. You may also see deer, wild bunnies, bobcats, and lizards. Because of the natural setting, we clean any bugs we find as fast as we find them, and in spite of our best efforts, please be aware that you may encounter some during your stay.

California residents experience frequent power outages and Mariposa county is no exception. While we will do our best to keep you informed of outages (scheduled or not), please note that you may experience an outage during your stay.

KIDS:

Since we have kids of our own, we have done our best to make our place kid-friendly so that other families can enjoy it as well. That being said, if you have very little ones, please note that the bunk beds are designed for only ages 6 and up to be on the top bunk, and some of the toys available may be choking hazards for very small children. Feel free to put toys and games out of reach that you wouldn't want your children to access. We do have a high chair available in the entry-closet (some assembly required) if needed. We can't provide a travel crib at this time but there is plenty of space to set up your own.

PETS:

We do allow up to two well-behaved dogs, with prior approval. We do not allow dogs in the house, but depending on the dog may allow them to stay in the garage as long as they are watched or crated. 

Things to note if you do choose to bring along your pet:

* We have an outdoor kennel for your use, but please consider that we can experience extreme temperatures at certain times of year.
* Our property is NOT fully fenced and what we do have fenced is not escape-proof. 
* It is also important to have your dogs protected from fleas and ticks before your stay.
* It is your responsibility to clean up all your pet's messes.
* Since we have another rental unit and neighbors nearby, it is your responsibility to ensure that your dogs are not left unattended during the day, and respect quiet hours. 
* Our neighbor has a dog-boarding business, for which we can provide contact information (in case you need to leave your dog for longer periods).
